Oskar Kolberg i jego dzieło w etnografii/etnologii polskiej i w innych etnografiach narodowych

The article discusses the presence of Oskar Kolberg and his works in Polish and European ethnological sciences. The author analyzes the testimonies of the memory of Kolberg and his scientific activity and its results, recorded in studies in the field of the history of the discipline and source studies, as well as in studies on folk culture, in the form of nationwide, regional and problem monographs, prepared by successive generations of researchers using the materials collected by Kolberg as valuable ethnographic sources.Artykuł poświęcony jest omówieniu obecności Oskara Kolberga i jego prac w polskich i europejskich naukach etnologicznych. Autor analizuje świadectwa pamięci o badaczu i jego działalności naukowej oraz jej rezultatach, utrwalanych w studiach z zakresu historii dyscypliny i źródłoznawczych, a także w opracowaniach dotyczących kultury ludowej, o charakterze monografii ogólnopolskich, regionalnych i problemowych, przygotowywanych przez kolejne pokolenia badaczy, korzystających ze zgromadzonych przez Kolberga materiałów jako cennych źródeł etnograficznych

Skąd, z czym i w jaki sposób etnografia/etnologia/antropologia pijawiła się przez 100 laty w odrodzonym państwie polskim?

Ethnography/ethnology/ anthropology was present in the Polish state, from the very beginning of its restoration in 1918, as one of the disciplines within the framework of national science. It became possible thanks to the work of several generations of researchers who in the second half of the 19th century, in the difficult times of Poland’s partition, gave to their long-held cognitive interest the shape of a scientific discipline. The article is devoted to discussing persons, events and circumstances that led to this situation.Etnografia/etnologia/antropologia była obecna w państwie polskim, od początku jego przywróconego w roku 1918 istnienia, jako jedna z dyscyplin w ramach nauki narodowej. Stało się to możliwe dzięki pracy kilku pokoleń badaczy, którzy w trudnych warunkach zaborowych nadali, w II połowie XIX wieku, od dawna uprawianym zainteresowaniom poznawczym, kształt dyscypliny naukowej

Pieśń i gra obrzędowa „Zelman” u Oskara Kolberga i innych. Materiały i interpretacje

The folk song and ritual play known under the name of Zelman was recorded and documented in the Ukraine in more than ten varieties by Oskar Kolberg in the 19th century. It may be interpreted from two perspectives: historical and mythological. In the former, its context is the practice of Orthodox churches being leased out to Jews. In the latter, it is related to the gods of ancient mythology. Scholars, like M. Hruszewski, have long dismissed any link between the ritual “Zelman” with Zelman Wolfowicz, who lived in the 18th Century in the town of Drohobych. They believed the practice of Jews taking churches in lease to be no more than a legend. The author presents the social, religious and political background of this legend and examines its parallels both with ‘haijwka’, an Easter ritual, and the forms of the legend which exist to this day. He considers this tradition part of enduring legacy in the relations between Ukrainians, Poles and Jews, which even today is not without significanceW XIX wieku Oskar Kolberg zapisał i udokumentował na Rusi ponad dziesięć wersji pieśni ludowej i gry obrzędowej znanej pod nazwą „Zelman”. W pierwszym przypadku ich kontekstem jestlegenda odzierżawieniucerkwi prawosławnych przez Żydów, natomiast w drugim ujęciu Zelman wiązany jest z bóstwami starożytnej mitologii. Badacze, jak M. Hruszewski, od dawnaodrzucali wszelkie powiązania między pieśnią i obrzędem „Zelman” a Zelmanem Wolfowiczem, który żył w XVIII wieku w Drohobyczu. Ich zdaniem, opowieść o przejmowaniuświątyń przez Żydów jest jedynie legendą.Autor artykułu przedstawia społeczne, religijne i polityczne tło tej legendy i analizuje jej związek z„haijówką”, obrzędem wielkanocnym, oraz omawia wersje legendy, pieśni i zabawy, które istnieją do dnia dzisiejszego.Tradycję tęuznał za część trwałej spuścizny ukraińsko-polsko-żydowskiej, którado dziś zachowała swoje znaczeni

Inverse solution to the heat transfer coeffcient for the oxidized ARMCO steel plate cooling by the air nozzle from high temperature

[EN] The inverse solution tests have been performed to the experimental data obtained during the oxidised Armco steel plate cooling by the air nozzle. The three-dimensional numerical model of heat transfer during the plate cooling has been considered. Steel products cooled in the air from high temperatures are covered with the oxide layer having significantly lower conductivity and a different surface structure comparing to the non-oxidised metal surface. The Armco steel has been selected as the experimental material because it oxidised in a similar way to carbon steels but there is no microstructure evolution process in Armco steel below 900oC. It eliminates in the inverse solutions serious problems caused by a latent heat of microstructure evolutions encountered during carbon steel cooling. In the present study the steel plate has been heated to about 900℃ and cooled by the circular air jet. The plate temperature has been measured by 36 thermocouples. The test of the selected inverse solution models involving a different number of degrees of freedom have been performed.
