Dealing with increasing number of criminal cases registered on photographs or video recordings, cases of missing persons and long-term wanted offenders, assessment of criminal responsibility or, on the other hand, the necessity of legal protection of minors, requires more precise in facial identification techniques. Forensic facial identification comprises especially of facial age estimation, facial age progression of long-term missing persons or facial reconstruction. All these methods require knowledge of facial development during growth, adolescence and senescence, including variability and sexual dimorphism. The knowledge about facial morphology has been useful also in different biomedical disciplines, as well as in the field of psychosocial sciences or in the study of morphological divergences among human populations. The presented thesis summarizes the results of research on the facial growth and development of juvenile individuals and on the analysis of the influence of senescence changes on facial morphology during aging. The first part is concerned with ontogenetic facial development during childhood and adolescence (7 to 17 years), with regard to puberty, based on longitudinal assessment. The main aims of the study were to describe the morphological variability of the face, analyse the..

In my thesis I summed up the basic theoretical and practical knowledge about adaptation/integration of immigrants, integration policy and social work in the process of integration od immigrants, which i took from actual professional literature. I was also engaged in the influence of arabic-islamic factors in the integration process and actual situation of islam in the Czech society. I came out of the presumption, that the members of the target group can be negatively influented by unfair attitudes of majority and media, which usually come from the lack of information and can have specific needs and problems, on which it is necessary to react in an adequate way. By controlled structured interviews I realized pilot study into the target group, with the goal to gain information, useful for other researches and to consult the integration history of individuals, focusing on their specific needs in process of integration and forms and measure of their satisfaction and to indicate other possible fields of creation and application of integration arrangements, connected with the utilization or creation of capacities from both the side of majority society and immigrants theirselves. Integration is a komplex, multidimensional and multilevel process, on which must actively and responsibly cooperate all subjects of..

Všechny tyto metody vyžadují znalosti morfologických změn obličeje v průběhu růstu, dospívání i stárnutí, včetně informací o variabilitě a pohlavním dimorfismu. Cílem práce bylo sledovat morfologickou variabilitu obličeje, analyzovat vývoj pohlavního dimorfismu v období puberty,...Katedra antropologie a genetiky člověkaDepartment of Anthropology and Human GeneticsFaculty of SciencePřírodovědecká fakult

Nejefektivnějšími klíči k integraci a očkováním proti sociálnímu vylučování...In my thesis I summed up the basic theoretical and practical knowledge about adaptation/integration of immigrants, integration policy and social work in the process of integration od immigrants, which i took from actual professional literature. Simulation of facial growth based on longitudinal data: Age progression and age regression between 7 and 17 years of age using 3D surface data.

Modelling of the development of facial morphology during childhood and adolescence is highly useful in forensic and biomedical practice. However, most studies in this area fail to capture the essence of the face as a three-dimensional structure. The main aims of our present study were (1) to construct ageing trajectories for the female and male face between 7 and 17 years of age and (2) to propose a three-dimensional age progression (age -regression) system focused on real growth-related facial changes. Our approach was based on an assessment of a total of 522 three-dimensional (3D) facial scans of Czech children (39 boys, 48 girls) that were longitudinally studied between the ages of 7 to 12 and 12 to 17 years. Facial surface scans were obtained using a Vectra-3D scanner and evaluated using geometric morphometric methods (CPD-DCA, PCA, Hotelling's T2 tests). We observed very similar growth rates between 7 and 10 years in both sexes, followed by an increase in growth velocity in both sexes, with maxima between 11 and 12 years in girls and 11 to 13 years in boys, which are connected with the different timing of the onset of puberty. Based on these partly different ageing trajectories for girls and boys, we simulated the effects of age progression (age regression) on facial scans. In girls, the mean error was 1.81 mm at 12 years and 1.7 mm at 17 years. In boys, the prediction system was slightly less successful: 2.0 mm at 12 years and 1.94 mm at 17 years. The areas with the greatest deviations between predicted and real facial morphology were not important for facial recognition. Changes of body mass index percentiles in children throughout the observation period had no significant influence on the accuracy of the age progression models for both sexes
