Haptics and its effect on consumers' intentions using neuroscientific methods: Literature review

The haptic properties of a product have mostly been underestimated with most studies focusing on visual aspects of objects. Nonetheless, in the last years, it has been found that tactile stimuli are in some cases even more important than the visual ones. However, the traditional paper-based surveys cannot fully and objectively examine their effects on consumers. Therefore, neuroscientific methods, which overcome these obstacles, are becoming more used but there is still only a small number of studies focusing on the effect of haptics in marketing. Using the keywords haptics, tactile input, EEG, fMRI and tactile, seven relevant studies have been found and used in this literature review, out of which four have used EEG and three fMRI. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to review the research that has been already conducted and to identify the areas in which further research should be made and the neuroscientific methods which could be used.O

Testování bezmodelové samoseřizovací metody na laboratorním modelu kaskády tří nádrží

A newly developed model-free autotuning method based on frequency response analysis has been tested on a laboratory set-up that represents a physical model of a three-tank cascade. This laboratory model was chosen for the following reasons: a) the laboratory model was ready for computer control; b) simultaneously, computer simulation could be effectively utilized, because a mathematical description of the cascade based on quite exactly valid relations was available; c) the set-up provided the necessary degree of nonlinearity and changeable properties. The improvement of the laboratory set-up instrumentation presented here was necessary because the results obtained from the first experimental identification did not correspond to the results provided by the simulation. The data was evidently imprecise, because the available sensors and the conditions for process settling were inadequate.Pro testování nově vyvíjené bezmodelové samoseřizovací metody byl vybrán existující laboratorní model kaskády tří nádrží. Tento laboratorní model byl vybrán z následujících důvodů: a) laboratorní model je řiditelný pomocí počítače, b) jednoduchý matematický popis, c) dostatečný stupeň nelinearity a proměnnosti v čase. Prezentované rozšíření vybavení laboratorního modelu bylo nevyhnutelné, neboť výsledky získané z prvních experimentů nepříliš dobře odpovídaly výsledkům získaných pomocí simulace

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vytvoření podnikatelského záměru k založení baru v centru města Kyjova. Práce je složena ze tří částí. První obsahuje teoretická východiska, týkající se jednotlivých částí podnikatelského záměru, marketingového průzkumu a ekonomických výpočtů. Ve druhé, analytické části, je zpracován marketingový průzkum. A v poslední návrhové části, je vypracován podnikatelský záměr, který poslouží jako podklad pro úspěšné založení podniku.This bachelor thesis focuses on creating a business plan to establish a bar in center of Kyjov. The work is composed from three parts. The first one includes the theoretical background about each part of business plan, marketing research and economic calculations. In the second part, analytical part, marketing research is developed. And in the last part a business plan is created which will serve as basis for successfull business establishment.

It consists in the proposal of marketing communication, which will serve to extension of the brand Pierre Cardin. The first part of the thesis contains the theoretical starting points concerning the brand, its identity and value, communication and extension of the brand. In the second, analytical part, the aspects of Pierre Cardin's brand life have been analyzed. In the last, proposal section, the proposal of Pierre Cardin's communication has been drawn up, including a timetable and sales forecast in order to enhance competitiveness of the company IMI Partner a.s..

Design and Realization of Stable Generators of Harmonic Signals

Import 22/07/2015Diplomová práce se zabývá navržením stabilního generátoru harmonického signálu. Základní zapojení generátoru signálu vychází ze zapojení dvou operačních zesilovačů, které jsou zapojeny jako integrátor a komparátor. Rezistor na vstupu integrátoru byl nahrazen technologií spínaných kapacitorů, aby byl obvod laditelný na základě řídící frekvence. V práci je uvedeno i měření, kdy se měřily vlastnosti operačních zesilovačů, aby byl použit pro danou funkci ten nejoptimálnější. Dále je v práci popsán návrh filtru a volba konkrétního filtru od firmy MAXIM, který taktéž využívá technologii spínaných kapacitorů. Tím byla dosažena celková přeladitelnost obvodu. Celé zapojení bylo po odzkoušení na nepájivém poli navrženo na desku plošných spojů. Cílem práce bylo dosažení dlouhodobé stability a teplotní nezávislosti celého obvodu. Na tuto podmínku se vždy nahlíželo při volbě konkrétních řešení. V práci je obsaženo i několik výstupů z konkrétních měření.Master thesis is dealing with the design of stable generators of harmonic signals. The basic involvement of the periodic generator comes out of involvement of two operational amplifiers, which are integrated in the function of integrator and comparator. The resistor which is located at the input of the integrator was replaced by the technology which is using switched capacitors in order that the circuit could be debugged. In this thesis the measurement of the qualities of the operational amplifier was also mentioned and afterwards the most suitable operational amplifier for every single function was selected. Subsequently the design of the filter was described and then the concrete filter Maxim using the switched capacitors technology was chosen as the best one for this place. Thanks to that the circuit can be completely debugged. The whole involvement was tested on the breadboard and then it was designed on printed circuit board. The aim of this thesis was to achieve the long-lasting stability of the whole circuit and its independence on the temperature. Utilization Switching Capacitors by Realization of Periodic Generators

Import 03/08/2012Bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím spínaných kapacitorů při realizaci generátorů periodického signálu. Hlavním tématem práce je navržení frekvenčně laditelného generátoru harmonických průběhů. Po navržení klasického generátoru byl kritický prvek nahrazen technologií spínaných kapacitorů a následně bylo ověřeno několik různých druhů zapojení. V poslední části byl navržen filtr pro získání sinusového napětí. Konečný filtr byl realizován opět za pomocí flitru s technologií spínaných kapacitorů. Konkrétně byl využit filtr od firmy Maxim. Všechny tři hlavní průběhy signálů, jsou tedy laditelné za pomocí vnějšího signálu. Bylo odměřeno několik možných zapojení spínaných kapacitorů a bylo zvoleno nejlepší řešení daného problému. Cílem mé práce bylo teoretické popsání problému, změření několika různých zapojení na nepájivém poli a stanovit nejlepší řešení zapojení daného problému. Součástí práce je několik ukázek signálů z průběhu měření a tabulky naměřených hodnot, pro demonstraci správné funkce navrženého generátoru.Bachelor thesis is dealing with utilization switching capacitors by realization of periodic generators. The main topic of the thesis is to design periodic generators, which changes its output frequency while the input frequency is changed. First the classic generator was designed and then the critical element was replaced by a technology of switched capacitors. Afterwards various kinds of involvements were verified. In the very last part of the thesis the filter for attaining the sinus voltage was designed. The ultimate filter was realized by utilization of a filter with technology of switched capacitors. Specifically the filter which is produced by a firm called Maxim was used. All three main signal processes can be debugged by means of external signal. Various involvements of the switched capacitors were measured and the best way round a problem was chosen. The aim of my thesis was to describe the problem theoretically, to measure various kinds of involvement on breadboard and to prescribe the best way round a problem of involvement. Předmětem této bakalářské práce je zpracování stavební části projektové dokumentace pro novostavbu rodinného domu s kadeřnictvím ve městě Rajhrad. Objekt je navržen jako dvoupodlažní pro bydlení čtyř osob a zároveň bude sloužit jako provozovna kadeřnictví. Hlavní hmota objektu v úrovni 1.NP zaujímá půdorysný tvar obráceného písmene T. Ve 2.NP pak ze středové části objektu vystupuje hmota nepravidelného kvádru. Druhé nadzemní podlaží je zastřešeno sedlovou střechou o sklonu střešních rovin 20°, zbylé části objektu jsou řešeny vegetační jednoplášťovou plochou střechou s extenzivní zelení. Svislé nosné konstrukce jsou tvořeny keramickými tvárnicemi s kontaktním zateplovacím systémem, stropní konstrukce jsou z předpjatých stropních panelů.The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is processing of building – technical part of project documentation for realization of new building of detached house with hairdresser service in town Rajhrad. The building is designed as a two-floor for living four people and will also serve as a hairdressing business. The main mass of the object in the level 1.NP takes the grand plan shape of an inverted letter T. In 2.NP then from the central part of the building stick out mass of irregular block. The second floor is covered by a saddle roof with a slope of 20° roof planes, the remaining parts of the building are designed by green warm flat roof with extensive greenery. The vertical structures are made of ceramic blocks with contact thermal insulating system, floor structures are made of prestressed concrete floor slab.

Vanadium redox flow battery - membrane selection and characterization

The increasing share of renewable energy sources in the total energy production emphasizes the need for a reliable and cheap stationary energy storage. Such a tool allows to baffle hardly predictable non-stabilities in output power of photovoltaics or wind turbines on the power transmission level. Vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) appears as a promising solution for the stationary energy storage as it offers high efficiency (80% DC-DC), foolproof arrangement of decoupled power (kW) to capacity (kWh), extended durability and fast demand response. However, the broader commercialization of the technology is still obstructed by relatively high investment costs. In redox flow batteries, electrolytes are not stored in the battery construction but in an external tank and are continuously pumped through the battery stack where electrical energy is transformed on inert electrodes into chemical during charging and conversely during discharging. Battery stack is composed of several serially connected cells. Each cell consists of positive and negative half-cells which are mutually separated typically by ion-exchange membrane. In VRFB, both electrolytes comprises vanadium salts dissolved in diluted sulfuric acid (i.e., (VO2)2SO4 and VOSO4 in positive electrolyte and VSO4 and V2(SO4)3 in negative electrolyte). Price of the ion-exchange membrane, one of the key components of the battery stack, represents 5 - 15 % of the overall costs typically. Advances in plant chromosome genomics

AbstractNext generation sequencing (NGS) is revolutionizing genomics and is providing novel insights into genome organization, evolution and function. The number of plant genomes targeted for sequencing is rising. For the moment, however, the acquisition of full genome sequences in large genome species remains difficult, largely because the short reads produced by NGS platforms are inadequate to cope with repeat-rich DNA, which forms a large part of these genomes. The problem of sequence redundancy is compounded in polyploids, which dominate the plant kingdom. An approach to overcoming some of these difficulties is to reduce the full nuclear genome to its individual chromosomes using flow-sorting. The DNA acquired in this way has proven to be suitable for many applications, including PCR-based physical mapping, in situ hybridization, forming DNA arrays, the development of DNA markers, the construction of BAC libraries and positional cloning. Coupling chromosome sorting with NGS offers opportunities for the study of genome organization at the single chromosomal level, for comparative analyses between related species and for the validation of whole genome assemblies. Apart from the primary aim of reducing the complexity of the template, taking a chromosome-based approach enables independent teams to work in parallel, each tasked with the analysis of a different chromosome(s). Given that the number of plant species tractable for chromosome sorting is increasing, the likelihood is that chromosome genomics – the marriage of cytology and genomics – will make a significant contribution to the field of plant genetics
