(The object of research is becoming a new mode of identity – electronic nomadism, whose appearance is due to the intensive development of advanced technologies. A new form of identity has both positive and negative potentials. On the one hand, it helps the person to the electronic world, making it mobile, movable, equipped with technical devices. On the other hand, thanks to the electronics are multiple interference and simulacra, obscure the real life. Electronic nomad lose the fundamental basis of life, becoming homeless, compounding the crisis of its existence.

This article considers androgynous plot in fictional prose of Z.N. Gippius, exemplified with the short novel “The mirrors” (1896) and the novel “Roman-tzarevitch” (1913), within the frameworks of studying of creative life model of this prominent representative of Russian Silver Age. Androgynous plot as an creative life allusion by Z.N. Gippius created the base for so-called “History if Yasha Chernyshevskiy” , which from hearsay is retold by the main character of V.V. Effective resource management and workflow execution monitoring are essential for ensuring performance, stability, and minimal downtime in high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This dissertation presents the design and implementation of a modular, extensible monitoring dashboard tailored to the LISA Pipeline Runner infrastructure, which is responsible for executing complex scientific workflows within the context of the LISA mission. LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) is a space-based mission aimed at detecting gravitational waves generated by massive cosmic events such as merging black holes, supermassive black holes, and white dwarfs. To achieve this, a constellation of detectors will be deployed in space to capture these gravitational wave signals, which will then be transmitted back to Earth for analysis. This analysis will be carried out in dedicated Data Computing Centers (DCCs), each hosting a Pipeline Runner that orchestrates the data processing workflows. Given the computational demands and critical nature of the data, each Pipeline Runner must be supported by a dedicated monitoring dashboard to provide real-time visibility into system health and resource utilization during data analysis operations. A comparative analysis of existing open-source and research-developed technologies was conducted, focusing on their capabilities in collecting, processing, and visualizing telemetry data from multiple sources. Key metrics such as CPU, memory consumption and workflow execution data were identified as critical for effective monitoring in the context of the LISA mission. Based on this evaluation, a monitoring solution was implemented using Prometheus for metrics collection, Grafana for visualization, and Thanos for long-term storage of time-series data. Loki was also integrated to aggregate and query workflow logs. The system was deployed within a Kubernetes cluster, tightly coupled with the developed Pipeline Runner, with special attention to monitoring Argo Workflow executions and the overall health of the cluster. The resulting dashboard offers a centralized, intuitive interface for operators and developers, supporting observability, traceability, and future scalability within the LISA mission

Jungtinių Tautų Saugumo Tarybos (ne)veikimas Rusijos agresijos kontekste: ar naivu tikėtis permainų?

Russia’s aggression against sovereign Ukraine in February 2022 has once again highlighted the shortcomings of the UNSC mechanism. The UNSC, which continues the work of its predecessor, the League of Nations, and which has the mission of maintaining world peace and security, is incapable, in the context of the war in Ukraine, of adopting the necessary resolutions and other actions that would help to put an end to the ongoing aggression.   The planned reforms of the UNSC have not been implemented in the past, and therefore face the insurmountable obstacle of Russia, one of the 5 permanent members, being the aggressor state and constantly vetoing UNSC resolutions. Both the requirements for amending the UN Charter itself and the voting process legally make it impossible to remove Russia from the UNSC unless the aggressor itself votes to remove its delegation from the UNSC. Observing Russia’s actions during the war in Ukraine, it is safe to say that Russia will not give up the opportunity to continue to enjoy the place in the SC that it took over from the USSR after its collapse in 1991. An analysis of the practice of international law and the historical context in which the UNSC operates leads to the conclusion that the UNSC is currently functioning as an organisation that is unable to fulfil its core functions due to the limitations of the UN Charter. It is hardly possible to revive an organisation in which the aggressor state and the violator of international law have veto power. 2022 m. vasarį pradėta Rusijos agresija prieš suverenią Ukrainą dar kartą išryškino JT ST veikimo mechanizmo spragas. JT ST, kuri tęsia savo pirmtakės Tautų Sąjungos veiklą, ir turi misiją palaikyti taiką ir saugumą pasaulyje, Ukrainos karo kontekste yra nepajėgi priimti būtinų rezoliucijų ir imtis kitų veiksmų, kurie padėtų sustabdyti vykstančią agresiją.   Planuotos JT ST reformos anksčiau nebuvo įgyvendintos, todėl susiduriama su neįveikiama kliūtimi – viena iš 5 nuolatinių narių – Rusija – esanti yra valstybė agresorė, nuolat vetuoja ST rezoliucijas. JT Chartijoje įtvirtinti tiek pačios JT Chartijos keitimo reikalavimai, tiek balsavimo procedūros procesas teisiškai neleidžia pašalinti Rusiją iš JT ST, kol pati agresorė nebalsuotų už savo delegacijos pašalinimą iš ST. Stebint Rusijos veiksmus karo Ukrainoje metu, galima teigti, jog Rusija neatsisakys galimybės ir toliau mėgautis vieta ST, kuri buvo perimta iš SSRS, šiai 1991 m. žlugus. Išanalizavus tarptautinės teisės praktiką ir pasitelkiant istorinį JT ST veikimo kontekstą, daroma išvada, jog šiuo metu JT ST veikia kaip organizacija, dėl JT Chartijoje esančių apribojimų, nesugebanti vykdyti savo pagrindinių funkcijų. Vargu ar įmanoma atgaivinti organizaciją, kurioje valstybė agresorė ir tarptautinės teisės pažeidėja turi veto teisę.&nbsp

Complete gonadal dysgenesis or Swyer syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by 46,XY karyotype and female phenotype with undeveloped streak gonads and high malignancy risk. The condition usually manifests in teenage and young adults with delayed puberty and primary amenorrhea. The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence and potential malignant outcomes of complete gonadal dysgenesis in Latvia. Methods. 37 patients were included in a retrospective study from 1996 to 2016. In fifteen cases, additional patient information was available. Information from medical records was collected on age at the time of diagnosis: anamnesis data, laboratory results, histology of gonads, and treatment. Results. Complete gonadal dysgenesis with karyotype 46,XY was proven in 36 (97.3%) cases and one (2.7%) case with karyotype 47,XY,+21. The average age of patients at the time of diagnosis was 15.4 ± 8.0 years. The study included 15 cases: eight patients (53.3%) were investigated for primary amenorrhea, and incomplete development of secondary sexual characteristics, 5 patients (33.3%) with abdominal pain and lower abdominal mass, 2 patients (13.3%) were diagnosed at birth. Gonadectomy was performed in 12 cases (80%). The median time between diagnosis and gonadectomy was 0.4 ± 4.3 years. The histopathology results from the gonadal biopsy showed malignancy in 7 cases (58.3%). The most commonly diagnosed tumors were dysgerminoma and gonadoblastoma. Conclusion. Early diagnosis of Swyer syndrome is necessary in view of the risk of malignancy that can develop at a young age. In several cases, the diagnosis of the syndrome was made only after the malignant process development. The study showed the median time between diagnosis and gonadectomy was suboptimal.publishersversionPeer reviewe

The Human Document : The History of a Notion

    Get PDF
This study is a historical and semantic description of the notion of the human document (document humain), borrowed by Russian critics from the literary theory of French Naturalism. To this day the term remains current in the Russian language in fictional and scholarly texts, mostly in the humanities. Becoming something of a cliché, however, it has lost its strict, narrow sense. This book details the evolution of the notion over the relatively long period of its existence. The term itself was invented by two French writers the Goncourt brothers, whose works were less known to Russian readers than, for instance, the ideas of Hyppolite Taine, where one could find semantically similar formulas. Meanwhile the texts of Emile Zola achieved particular popularity in Russia, and the human document played a key role in Zola s aesthetics, especially in his theory of the experimental novel . For Zola the human document rejected the ideology of Romanticism with its orientation on inventive and captivating fictions. It is a noteworthy fact that Zola s works devoted to the experimental novel were first published in Russian, since the French writer was collaborating with Russian periodicals. At the same time, similar expressions were wide spread in Russian critical discourse: for example, the prominent and influential critic Nikolay Mikhaylovsky oft en used synonyms like documents about the human, and one can find other derivatives like female document or Parisian document . On the other hand, Russian reception of Zola s declared interest in psychic physiology and human degradation was also negative, and in the end of the nineteenth century the human document acquired a range of pejorative connotations. As Naturalist theories were gradually becoming obsolete and disappearing, the term s semantic associations were markedly transformed. The 1910s were a crucial period in its history. Although one can find the term in the texts of Russian Naturalists like the prolific writer Aleksandr Amfiteatrov, it was no longer strictly connected with this aesthetical and intellectual tradition. Displaced and half-forgotten, human document appears in the contexts of women s literature , memoirs, and even autobiographies about the 1905 revolution. Now it was associated with different documentary genres, such as diaries and confessions, as with the literary strategy of frank or true expression. This suggests that the term was becoming a part of the rhetoric of anti-literature . As a result, the positive ideal of frank testimony was combined with psychic physiology s negative associations, and this ambiguity allowed the application of the term to a certain set of specific subjects. For example, it was connected with the marginal hero of the age , i.e. the time of decadence and social decline (the revolutionary, the scoundrel, the cynic, and so on). The 1920s and 1930s were the heyday of the human document . The term was rarely used in early Soviet literature but flourished among Russian emigre writers. Thanks to the older generation, who actively took part in pre-revolutionary literary discussions, this cliche gradually returned to the pages of émigré periodicals. In the 1930s, as in Zola s time, it assumed the form of a literary manifesto and united different circles of young Russian writers, mostly in France. Human document became a keyword in the famous discussion between two prominent figures of the Paris emigration, Vladislav Khodasevich and Georgy Adamovich, who considered the goal of a new literature to be the return to raw, frank self-expression. This new development in the history of the term was partly supported by the interest of contemporary French writers like Louis-Ferdinand Celine in naturalistic literary devices. In this period human document became a kind of synonym for a certain sort of poetry which was called the Parisian note . It is not unusual that this cliché sometimes appeared in Soviet criticism as a means of describing and then belittling émigré literature. It arose in the mid-1960s, probably after the polemics about frankness in literature and then was borrowed by literary scholar Lydia Ginzburg, who worked on the history of documentary genres in Russian literature
