Analysis of Handoff Latency in Advanced Wireless Networks

    Get PDF
The association of different wireless communication technologies on the way to advanced wireless networks had better face with the developing systems resource utilization and user authentication. Mobility management is vital to omnipresent computing which can be established by location management and distinctive of the mobility management modules. In this work the new protocol is proposed which includes the integration of FHMIPv6 and MIH. The proposed protocol performance is analysed using NS2 simulation. It shows the reduction of handoff latency for video streaming. The cost is also being reduced by the handoff latency while transmitting the signal from one mobile user to another. Further the proposed protocol is compared with the previous protocols

The Political Postulates Constructed in the Epic Perunkathai

During Sangam era, petty kings those who were ruling small territories or emperors who conquered many countries and built empires have followed monarchy. This was told in verses of Purananuru (400 heroic poems about kings). It said that, kingdom is hereditary; after a king, only his son has the right to rule his empire. Elderly son takes the crown and his siblings govern and support him in ruling the kingdom. The eldest one who got the right to rule differ themselves according to their mind-set. It will be a burden for those who just depend on tax collection from the people of his kingdom. Whereas it will be as easy as carrying a weight less cork for those who has nobility and excellence. Similarly, an epic King named Udhayanan, who has the right and qualities of a King was crowned by his uncle Vikkiran to rule Vaishali in his young age. This article researches and analyses the political ethics of King Udhayanan through the Tamil poem Perungathai (A Tamil poem that portraits history of King Udhayaṇan)

Hydraulics, Dimensional Analysis and Visualization of Flow through Unpressurized Gating Systems Using Water Models

During recent years, foundry industry has witnessed an increasing awareness about the importance of the filling stage for the production of metallurgically sound and dimensionally stable castings. The metallurgical soundness of a casting is strongly influenced by the way the liquid metal flows through various parts of the gating system and fills the mould cavity. Owing to the importance of filling stage, extensive research has been directed towards the determination of optimum filling conditions as well as on the influence of gating parameters. In this study, the hydraulics and flow behaviour of an aluminium alloy in a pressurized, horizontal gating system with a gating ratio of 1 : 2 : 1 incorporating multiple ingates attached to a horizontally cast plate mould is investigated using transparent water models. Similitude considerations between water and aluminium were invoked in the design of water models so that the conclusions drawn from water model experiments become applicable to real casting. Runners with two different aspect ratios and four different types of ingates were examined for their influence on hydraulics and flow behaviour. Flow behaviour was visualized using a high speed camera capable of capturing images up to 10,000 frames per second. Comparison of the filling patterns between water model experiments and real time experiments with molten metal in sand moulds provided useful insights into the performance of pressurized, horizontal gating system with multiple ingates and on the utility of flow visualization using water models

‘Otha padhithru pathu’ It is the Book belongs to the ‘Etthu Thogai’ literature and it tells about the outer life. In this literature it denotes the special about the ancient tamilians ruling power, war victories and donations. This book is a historical document only about the King’s of cherans. Kadalpiragottiya Senguttuvan is the son of Immayavaramban Neduncheralathan is the song leader of Second of the ten songs.  In this Padhitru Pathu fifth ten part songs tells about the personality traits, straight forward way of victories, good rule for the people and they donated every thing to the people without saying the word No. Both of the leader for father and son did above thing. They lead the country for the people like the light house. It is the description’s of above research

Unique case of inverted papilloma of septum with nasopharyngeal carcinoma:Is it a metachronous tumour?

    Get PDF
Inverted papilloma is a rare and benign tumour. It affects the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, has a high rate of recurrence and is associated with malignant transformation. Only few cases of a poorly differentiated carcinoma arising from inverted papilloma have been reported, none of which in the nasopharynx. We report a case of a 37-year-old female, who presented originally in 2012 with inverted papilloma of the nasal septum which was surgically resected. Nasopharyngeal biopsy from 2014 was reported as carcinoma in situ and treated with local endoscopic resection. Three years later she presented with a solitary lesion of the right Eustachian tube opening, confirmed as invasive poorly differentiated carcinoma. Imaging revealed T4 N2b M0 malignancy with skull base and prevertebral space invasion, likely extension into right temporal lobe and malignant adenopathy. Although rare, malignant transformation of inverted papilloma in unusual places should be considered during workup and monitoring of patients

Spontaneous renal subcapsular hematoma; a case report and reviewing management options

    Get PDF
Spontaneous subcapsular renal hematoma is a rare complication with potentially fatal effects in clinical practice. We discuss a case of a patient who arrived at the emergency room with abrupt onset flank discomfort and hematuria. The damaged kidney was effectively embolized by interventional radiology, and the patient quickly recovered. Follow-up tests revealed that the hematoma had shrunk in size. We believe that early arterial embolization should be explored in the care of patients with renal bleeding because it may enhance outcomes

Association Between Smoking and Oral Lichen Planus in Males - A Retrospective study

    Get PDF
Oral lichen planus affects one to two percent of the general adult population and is the most common non‐infectious oral mucosal disease. Tobacco smoking increases the risk of OLP malignant transformation as cigarette smoke contains substances that induce chronic inflammation at mucosal surfaces. The aim of this study was to assess the association between smoking and oral lichen planus in males. A retrospective study was conducted using the case records of patients visiting a private dental college in Chennai from June 2019 - March 2020. The study population included case records of male patients with oral lichen planus, selected by non-probability purposive sampling. Data regarding their smoking habit were collected. Descriptive and inferential statistics were done using SPSS software. Among the study population, 43.59% of patients were below 40 years and 56.41% were above 40 years of age. About 53.8% of male patients with oral lichen planus had a smoking habit. Erosive lichen planus was the most common variant followed by the reticular type.Within the limits of the study, there was a significant association between smoking and oral lichen planus in males, with an increased incidence of erosive lichen planus among smokers

Among the major perches landed at Chennai Fisheries Harbour, snappers and rock cods formed dominant groups followed by pigface breams. Among snappers, more than 15 species were recorded at Chennai Fisheries Harbour during 2009 (Table 1). In trawlnet, Lutjanus lutjanus (29.9%) formed the dominant catch followed by L. rivulatus and L. malabaricus. In mechanised gillnet, L. rivulatus (33.7%) formed the major catch followed by L. malabaricus and Pinjalo pinjalo. In hooks and line, L. rivulatus (34.4%) formed the major catch followed by L. lutjanus, L. malabaricus and L. argentimaculatus. The other lutjanids landed were Aphareus rutilans, Aprion virescens and Pristipomoides filamentosus. Lutjanus lutjanus was landed throughout the year by trawl nets. Unusually heavy catch of big eye snapper (L. lutjanus) was landed, about 8.5 t, 3.2 t, and 2 t by multiday thangal trawlers during July, August and September, 2009, respectivel
