The vehicle had canard surfaces and a swept clipped-delta wing with twin tip-mounted vertical tails

An Ontological Approach to XBRL Financial Statement Reporting

As a standard for the exchange, transmission, and reporting of accounting and financial data, XRBL goes a long way towardstandardization. However, as the extent of contemporary financial markets is now global, XBRL reporting must transcend oraccommodate differences in reporting standards. While XBRL has been of great help in standardizing the presentation of theU.S. GAAP and IASB standards, reconciling meaning between these standards is still a manual and error-prone affair. As awide variety of stakeholders, spanning countries and cultures, will likely take part in digesting XBRL-formatted financialreports; how will they participate at an appropriate level that is meaningful for them? This paper focuses on an ontologicalapproach towards solving this problem by offering an XBRL ontology architecture for translation between XBRL formats.The architecture is explained, evaluation criteria offered, and future research towards realizing artifacts which use thisarchitecture are proffered

PRIVACY ASSURANCE AND NETWORK EFFECTS IN THE ADOPTION OF LOCATION-BASED SERVICES: AN IPHONE EXPERIMENT

The use of geospatially aware mobile devices and applications is increasing, along with the potential for the unethical use of personal location information. For example, iPhone apps often ask users if they can collect location data in order to make the program more useful. The purpose of this research is to empirically examine the significance of this new and increasingly relevant privacy dimension. Through a simulation experiment, we examine how the assurance of location information privacy (as well as mobile app quality and network size) influences users\u27 perceptions of location privacy risk and the utility associated with the app which, in turn, affects their adoption intentions and willingness-to-pay for the app. The results indicate that location privacy assurance is of great concern and that assurance is particularly important when the app’s network size is low or if its quality cannot be verified
