    We live immersed in a world that pulsates with the transforming rhythm of the communications ecosys-tem and with multiple interfaces between the virtual and the real time. Each individual is increasingly influenced by new technologies (information and communication systems) and globalization, where education plays a vital important sense. It is a world that becomes emancipated by the designation of the future world and imposes geography free of spatial patterns but instead uses time patterns. It is a geography where cities are transformed into events and technologies into time with interfaces between the virtual and real, which aims the ubiquitous to answer to the dreams of happiness. Within this scenario, the city fulfils in the imaginary of the education of the future a place of participatory opportunity for all individuals (regardless of age) in entrepreneurship, social inclusion, in order to live in harmony with each other and with quality of life. The city presents itself as the protagonist of education of the future, driven by technology, believing to be able to counteract the marginalization, the development of ghettos, uncritical identities, emptiness generated by the loneliness, alienation, poverty, violence and exclusion. The city presents itself as able to participate in the adaptive development of new lifestyles that arise within the demand of the knowledge society, even when technologized.Vivimos inmersos en un mundo que pulsa al ritmo del transformador ecosistema de comunicaciones y con interfaces múltiples entre el tiempo real y el virtual. Cada individuo es cada vez más influenciado por las nuevas tecnologías (sistemas de información y comunicación) y por la globalización, donde la educación juega un sentido de vital importancia. Es un mundo que se ha emancipado en la designación de un mundo del futuro a imponer a nosotros una geografía libre de los patrones espaciales para imponer los temporales. Se trata de una geografía donde las ciudades se transforman en hechos y las tecnologías en tiempo con las interfaces entre lo virtual y lo real, que quieren el ubicuo para responder a los sueños de felicidad. En este escenario, la ciudad ocupa en imaginario de la educación del futuro un lugar de oportunidades compartidas por todas las personas (Sin importar la edad) en el espíritu empresarial, en la inclusión social, con el fin de vivir en armonía unos con otros, con calidad de vida. La ciudad se presenta como protagonista de la educación del futuro, apalancada por las tecnologías, a creerse capaz de contrariar la marginalidad, el desarrollo de guetos, identidades acríticas, vacíos generados por la soledad, la alienación, la pobreza, la violencia, la exclusión. Se presenta hábil para participar en el desarrollo adaptativo de los nuevos estilos de vida que van surgiendo en la demanda de la sociedad del conocimiento, inclusive si tecnologizada

No use, distribution or reproduction is permitted which does not comply with these terms.Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is characterized clinically by parkinsonism, cerebellar, autonomic, and corticospinal features of variable severity. When the presentation is only parkinsonism, the disease might be difficult to differentiate from Parkinson's disease (PD). We present a case of an 80-year-old man with previous diagnosis of PD. One year after the diagnosis, he had a whiplash cervical trauma due to a tricycle accident caused by a hole in the road. This low-energy trauma caused an unstable C4-C5 cervical fracture with spinal cord injury, which required surgical decompression and stabilization. Neurological examination showed marked postural instability, no rest and postural tremor, finger tapping slowed on the right, spastic tetraparesis (ASIA D) - predominantly on the left side, brisk deep tendon reflexes in the upper and lower extremities, and bilateral extensor plantar response. He also presented with vertical gaze restriction, mild hypometria in horizontal saccades, moderate dysphagia, and dysphonia. As atypical parkinsonism was suspected, he underwent an MRI that revealed conjunction of findings suggestive of parkinsonian-type MSA. In our case, we hypothesize that the loss of postural reflexes, as an early manifestation of MSA, did not allow the patient to have an effective reaction response to a low-energy trauma, resulting in a more severe injury. With this case report, we speculate that the severe spinal lesions caused by minor accidents can be an early sign of postural instability, which may lead to clinical suspicion of neurodegenerative disorder manifested by postural reflexes impairment.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

    Entre as principais dificuldades para se incrementar a produtividade das espécies comerciais está a escolha de genitores. Uma técnica amplamente utilizada para a escolha de parentais é a de cruzamentos dialélicos. O objetivo do estudo foi utilizar o método de cruzamentos dialélicos para auxiliar na escolha de genótipos de feijão-caupi visando a melhoraria na produtividade. Foram utilizados oito genótipos parentais, que foram avaliados na geração F2 para sete caracteres relacionados à produtividade, sob o delineamento de blocos completos causalizados, se utilizou um dialelo meia tabela. Os genótipos parentais e os cruzamentos mais promissores para a maioria dos caracteres avaliados foram: BRS Xiquexique, TE97-304G-4, BRS Xiquexique x Pretinho e TE97-304G-4 x MNC99-541F-15

    A cultura do feijão caupi, vem desempenhando um forte papel socioeconômico, principalmente em países em desenvolvimento. Os estudos de correlação são importantes para determinar a associação entre caracteres quantitativos e a produtividade para direcionar a forma de seleção, ou seja, seleção indireta ou seleção direta. Objetivou-se estimar as correlações entre sete caracteres agronômicos em feijão-caupi. Indivíduos com elevado peso de vagem (PV), comprimento de vagem(COMPV), elevado peso de cem grãos (P100G) e número de grãos por vagem (NGV) devem ser usados para melhorar a produção.     The continuous delivery of a levodopa/carbidopa gel suspension (Duodopa®) into the small bowel through a jejunal tube inserted via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy represents a new treatment method in advanced Parkinson disease. Some severe device-related complications have been described in the last few years. Some of them are associated with phytobezoar formation at the pigtail of the catheter. We present the case of a Parkinson disease patient treated with the Duodopa infusion system complicated by jejunal tube fistulization into the colon.     Influence of Cellulose Ether Mixtures on Ibuprofen Release: MC25, HPC and HPMC K100M

    The influence of cellulose ether derivatives on ibuprofen release from matrix tablets was investigated. Raman spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiments were used, in order to examine the compatibility between the matrix components: both excipients and ibuprofen. While both the DSC and Raman results did not detect any incompatibilities, DSC revealed the existence of some drug:excipient interactions, reflected by variations in the hydration/dehydration processes. Formulations containing mixtures of polymers with both low and high viscosity grades—methylcellulose (MC25) or hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC), and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC K100M), respectively—were prepared by a direct compression method (using 20, 25, and 30% of either MC25 or HPC). The tablets were evaluated for their drug content, weight uniformity, hardness, thickness, tensile strength, friability, porosity, surface area, and volume. Parameters such as the mean dissolution time (MDT) and the dissolution efficiency (DE) were calculated in all cases.
