Pensions in the French public sector: projections up to 2040 with the DESTINIE microsimulation model

The microsimulation model Destinie developed at INSEE is a privileged tool to assess the effect of pension schemes reforms since it projects the evolution of a representative sample of the French population up to 2040. Up to now, the model was exclusively devoted to the projection of pensions for wage earners in the private sector. A new module has been developed to project pensions for public sector employees. After having described this module, and the results it provides in projection by 2040, this paper presents its application to the simulation of the macroeconomic impacts of the French reform of 2003. Results that are obtained are consistent with other results already published: a decrease in the number of pensioners amounting to approximately 400.000 people in the long run, and a total burden of pensions reduced by about 19%.Pension system, microsimulation, Destinie, public sector, 2003 reform

The European Union, during its formation process, has built its own asylum system, which is related to its migratory policy. The present research seeks to understand the consequences of the migratory crisis of the 2010 decade in the European territory and the answers given by the European Union to tackle the crisis, especially the European Agenda on Migration. The Agenda has sought to harmonize the responsibilities of the member States to deal with the crisis. It has forwarded at certain points, promoting a more democratic character. However, it is clear that the agenda has found difficulties to be implemented due to different positions by the nation States. Faced with these difficulties, the European Union signed an agreement with Turkey to deal with the problem in the short term, which has not been foreseen in the Agenda.NenhumaA União Europeia, no seu processo de formação do bloco, construiu um próprio sistema de asilo, que está relacionado com sua política migratória. A presente pesquisa busca entender as consequências da crise migratória da década de 2010 no território europeu e as respostas dadas pela União Europeia para enfrentar a crise, em especial a Agenda Europeia de Migração. A Agenda procurou harmonizar as responsabilidades dos países membros do bloco para lidar com a crise. Ela avançou em certos pontos, buscando um caráter mais democrático. Contudo, é notório que a Agenda encontrou dificuldades para ser implementada, devido a posicionamentos diferentes por parte dos Estados nacionais. Diante dessas dificuldades, a União Europeia firmou um acordo com a Turquia para lidar com a problemática no curto prazo, não previsto na Agenda
