En cierto sentido, el escrito es una manera de explorar las formas y procesos de institucionalización desde la perspectiva de los mitos racionales de Meyer y Rowan (2001), quienes estipulan que esta tipología puede asociarse a procesos coercitivos, miméticos o normativos. En este escrito se considera que el elemento coercitivo, coligado a las formas de poder institucional, es el que más efectos tiene en el proceso mitopoiético. Al cuerpo académico se le considera un actor importante y poderoso, integrado principalmente por profesores-investigadores, quienes interactúan en un mundo de vida académico que los hace cada vez más importantes en las actividades de gestión académica para el desarrollo en las instituciones de educación superior (IES) públicas estatales. ABSTRACT: This document sets out the association between the Academic Corp and the mythopoiesis process constructing a narrative and how this is institutionalized. In a certain way, this document is an exploratory form of institutionalization processes and ways from the Meyer and Rowan (2001) rational myths perspective; they stipulate that these myths typology may be associated to coercive, mimetic and normative processes. The coercive element, institutional power inter-related, is the most effects contributor to the mythopoiesis process. The Academic Corp is considered as a relevant and powerful actor, mainly integrated by Teachers-Researchers, who interface and act in the academic world, and so they are playing up the importance of the growth of the management academic stuffs in state-public high Superior institutions (IES, Spanish initials). Using a Gridded Global Dataset to Characterize Regional Hydroclimate in Central Chile

Central Chile is facing dramatic projections of climate change, with a consensus for declining precipitation, negatively affecting hydropower generation and irrigated agriculture. Rising from sea level to 6000 m within a distance of 200 km, precipitation characterization is difficult because of a lack of long-term observations, especially at higher elevations. For understanding current mean and extreme conditions and recent hydroclimatological change, as well as to provide a baseline for downscaling climate model projections, a temporally and spatially complete dataset of daily meteorology is essential. The authors use a gridded global daily meteorological dataset at 0.25° resolution for the period 1948–2008, adjusted by monthly precipitation observations interpolated to the same grid using a cokriging method with elevation as a covariate. For validation, daily statistics of the adjusted gridded precipitation are compared to station observations. For further validation, a hydrology model is driven with the gridded 0.25° meteorology and streamflow statistics are compared with observed flow. The high elevation precipitation is validated by comparing the simulated snow extent to Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) images. Results show that the daily meteorology with the adjusted precipitation can accurately capture the statistical properties of extreme events as well as the sequence of wet and dry events, with hydrological model results displaying reasonable agreement with observed streamflow and snow extent. This demonstrates the successful use of a global gridded data product in a relatively data-sparse region to capture hydroclimatological characteristics and extremes

La conexión discursiva en textos escritos descriptivos

En este trabajo se estudia, a partir de un corpus de 383 textos, la función de los conectores discursivos en la construcción de escritos redactados sobre la base de una secuencia dominante de naturaleza descriptiva. En primer lugar, se valora cómo afecta al uso de los enlaces la naturaleza conceptual de la descripción según se fije esta en seres humanos o en espacios físicos tales como viviendas. A continuación, se centra en la función de los enlaces temporales y los ordenadores discursivos en la confi guración de perspectivas dinámicas de descripción. En tercer término, se evalúa el uso de los relacionantes locativos como enlaces textuales que establecen un tipo de relación entre un objeto base y un objeto figura ubicados en unidades textuales distintas. Por último, se clasifican los conectores espaciales identificados sobre siete ejes básicos de organización y se analiza la coaparición de enlaces correspondientes a ejes distintos.This study analyzes a corpus of 383 texts in order to study the function of discourse connectors in the creation of written texts with a fundamentally descriptive structure. Firstly, this study assesses the extent to which the conceptual nature of description affects the use of discourse connectors depending on whether it deals with humans or with physical spaces such as houses. Next, the study focuses on the function of discourse and temporal connectors in the configuration of dynamic description perspectives. The third part of the study analyzes the use of locative connectors as linking elements which establish a relationship between a concrete object and a figurative one which are located in different text units. Finally, the spatial connectors found during the study are classified into seven basic organizational categories and the instances of connectors which appear in more than one category are analyzed

The REMSDB Macroeconomic Database of The Spanish Economy

This paper presents a new macroeconomic database for the Spanish economy, REMSDB. The construction of this database has been oriented to conducting medium-term simulations for policy evaluation with the REMS model, a large Rational Expectations macroeconomic Model for Spain. The paper provides a detailed description of the data and documents its main statistical properties.
