The work is focused on the characteristic, properties and uses of artificial stone (category Solid surface) in furniture manufacturing. Beside other things, work deals with the process of machining, circular saw blades, water jet machining and methods for evaluating the kerf quality. The main goal is to assess the kerf quality for both different technologies of cutting and different Solid surface materials. Finally, the work is focused on assessing the significance of the circular saw blades geometry and their impact on the quality of machined surface

Analysis of functioning of Destination Management

The goal of this diploma thesis is a comparative analysis of the functioning of the Central Bohemia destination management and theoretical principles. Based on the study of specialised domestic and foreign literature the theoretical part of the thesis describes the functioning of destination management and marketing. In the practical part of the thesis the chosen tourist region and destination management company situated in this region are introduced. Based on the collection of primary and secondary data activity of destination management Center of Tourism of Eastern Moravia is analyzed and compared with the theoretical principles derived in the first part of the thesis. The results of the analysis show the differences between theory and practice therefore recommendations for destination management of East Moravia are suggested.Cílem této diplomové práce je provést komparativní analýzu fungování destinačního managementu Východní Morava a teoretických principů. Teoretická část práce popisuje na základě studia odborné tuzemské i zahraniční literatury teoretická vý-chodiska fungování destinačního managementu a marketingu. Praktická část práce představuje zvolený turistický region a v něm působící destinační společnost. Na základě sběru primárních a sekundárních dat analyzuje činnost destinačního managementu Centrály cestovního ruchu Východní Moravy a komparuje jej s teoretickými principy z první části práce. Výsledky analýzy ukazují rozdílnosti mezi teorií a praxí, na jejich základě jsou navrhnuta doporučení pro destinační management Východní Moravy

Prerequisites for the Development of Religious Tourism in a chosen Area

The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to analyse the hypotheses for a development of religious and pilgrimage tourist industry in the area of Northern Slovácko region. The theoretical part deals with the demarcation and characteristics of this kind tourism in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The practical part focuses on the selected region of East Moravia and explores assumptions for the development of religious and pilgrimage tourist industry. There are also suggested arrangements which could make contributions to tourists' interest increase in this region in connection with the given kind of tourism if meeting the follow-up conditions

HOW TO MOVE ON WHEN THE STATION IS GONE?

The diploma thesis is based on the pre-diploma project, which deals with the vacant buildings after the railway is moved from the center of Brno to the newly proposed location of the transport hub according to the KAM study. The diploma project focuses specifically on the heritage-listed building of the Brno main railway station. The aim is to find a suitable function for this building and to integrate it into the context between the historic center and the newly built southern quarter. The proposal also solves the building's surroundings, which include the area of the vacant railway track and the station forecourt with its complex traffic situation, which has been one of the least popular public spaces in the city for many years
