Modelling of aldol addition catalyzing by D-fructose-6-phosphate aldolase A129G
U ovom radu prouÄavana je reakcija aldolne adicije dihidroksiacetona (DHA) na N-Cbz-3-aminopropanal katalizirana D-fruktoza-6-fosfat aldolazom A129G, Äiji produkt je prekursor za sintezu D-fagomina, prirodnog iminoÅ”eÄera izvanrednih bioloÅ”kih svojstava te je iz tog razloga reakcija od interesa. Za ovu reakciju napravljeni su modeli u kotlastom, cijevnom i protoÄno kotlastom reaktoru. PomoÄu tih modela predviÄene su konverzije, pri razliÄitim procesnim uvjetima u reaktorima. Kao najbolji reaktor za provedbu ove reakcije se pokazao kotlasti reaktor.The reaction of aldol addition of dihydroxyacetone (DHA) on the N-Cbz-3-D-aminopropanal catalyzed by fructose-6-phosphate aldolase A129G, which reaction product is precursor for the synthesis of D-fagomine, natural iminosugar with remarkable biological properties is investigated in this paper. Because of the very interesting product the reaction is of high interest. The reaction is modelled in batch, plug flow and continuous stirred tank reactor. The conversion of reactants is predicted using the models at various process conditions. The best reactor for this reaction is batch reactor
Efficiency of activated sludge in municipal wastewater treatment
Äista voda i kanalizacijski sustav potrebe su danaÅ”njice, a proÄiÅ”Äavanje otpadnih voda je neophodno. BioloÅ”ki postupci proÄiÅ”Äavanja komunalnih otpadnih voda najÄeÅ”Äe ukljuÄuju proces s aktivnim muljem. Aktivni mulj je zajednica mikroorganizama odgovornih za razgradnju razliÄitih oneÄiÅ”ÄujuÄih tvari prisutnih u komunalnoj otpadnoj vodi. Prisutna mikrobna zajednica pokazatelj je uÄinkovitosti rada ureÄaja za proÄiÅ”Äavanje otpadnih voda zbog povezanosti s fizikalno-kemijskim i operativnim parametrima procesa. U ovom je radu praÄena uÄinkovitost aktivnog mulja tijekom 2019. godine na ureÄaju za proÄiÅ”Äavanje komunalnih otpadnih voda grada Zagreba. UÄinkovitosti uklanjanja taložive krute tvari, ukupne suspendirane tvari, KPK i BPK5 iznosile su viÅ”e od 90 % u prosjeku, a koncentracija ukupnog duÅ”ika i ukupnog fosfora smanjila se za 44 %, odnosno 45 %. Mikroskopska analiza omoguÄuje brzi uvid u sustav s aktivnim muljem i pridonosi boljem voÄenju procesa obrade komunalne otpadne vode.Clean water and sewage system are the needs of today, and wastewater treatment is necessary. Biological processes for municipal wastewater treatment most often involve sludge process. Activated sludge is a community of microorganisms responsible for the decomposition of various pollutants present in municipal wastewater. The present microbial community is an indicator of wastewater treatment plant efficiency due to connection with physico-chemical and operational parameters of the process. In this paper, the efficiency of activated sludge process of municipal wastewater treatment plant of city of Zagreb during the year 2019 was monitored. The removal efficiencies of the settleable solids, total suspended solids, COD and BOD5 were more than 90 % in average, and the concentration of total nitrogen and total phosphorus decreased by 44 % and 45 %, respectively. Microscopic analysis provides quick insight into the activated sludge system and contributes to better process control of municipal wastewater treatment
