    Generalised Fourier Transform and Perturbations to Soliton Equations

    A brief survey of the theory of soliton perturbations is presented. The focus is on the usefulness of the so-called Generalised Fourier Transform (GFT). This is a method that involves expansions over the complete basis of `squared olutions` of the spectral problem, associated to the soliton equation. The Inverse Scattering Transform for the corresponding hierarchy of soliton equations can be viewed as a GFT where the expansions of the solutions have generalised Fourier coefficients given by the scattering data. The GFT provides a natural setting for the analysis of small perturbations to an integrable equation: starting from a purely soliton solution one can `modify` the soliton parameters such as to incorporate the changes caused by the perturbation. As illustrative examples the perturbed equations of the KdV hierarchy, in particular the Ostrovsky equation, followed by the perturbation theory for the Camassa- Holm hierarchy are presented.Comment: 20 pages, no figures, to appear in: Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems

    The photographic series Ideal Cities that I started in 2011 is inspired by the conflict between my idea of the “west” and my evolving experience in the United States. What struck me was the popularity of what I see as model experience – a spatial experience controlled by the Spectacle. In the terms of the Situationist International and its most prominent figure Guy Debord, the Spectacle is the collapse of reality into the streams of images, products and activities sanctioned by centralized monopolist business or state bureaucracy.     Crowdfunding In Norway: Empirical Study Examining Entrepreneurs' Intentions to Use Crowdfunding

    This master's thesis investigates the drivers and inhibitors influencing the intention of entrepreneurs to use crowdfunding as a financing method, with a focus on the potential distinctions between native and immigrant entrepreneurs in Norway. Crowdfunding has emerged as an inclusive alternative source of finance, enabling individuals and businesses to overcome traditional funding limitations. Immigrant entrepreneurs, in particular, face unique challenges when seeking financial capital from conventional sources. However, research exploring the intention to adopt crowdfunding by entrepreneurs is limited. Using an empirical analysis based on online survey data from 231 entrepreneurs in Norway, this study aims to bridge the research gap by identifying the factors shaping entrepreneurs' intentions to use crowdfunding. The study reveals that there are three key drivers positively impacting the intention to use crowdfunding by entrepreneurs in Norway: (1) being an immigrant, (2) perceived trust in the crowdfunding platform, and (3) the perceived usefulness of crowdfunding for their business venture. On the other hand, immigrant entrepreneurs demonstrated a higher intention to use crowdfunding, while native Norwegian entrepreneurs exhibited greater trust in the platform, stronger social capital within Norway, and increased access to financing through public grants and private investors. The thesis begins with a literature review of existing research on crowdfunding, focusing on entrepreneurs' motivations. Subsequently, 13 hypotheses were presented and tested using the quantitative research method. The thesis concludes by summarizing key contributions, acknowledging limitations, and providing insights for further research and implications for crowdfunding platforms and entrepreneurs in Norway

    The damage from weeds in the cultivation of agricultural crops is ubiquitous and they adversely affect the yields of agricultural production. The soil conditions of the places where the crops are grown deteriorate. Contribute to the development of diseases and the enemies on them. Apart from this, it is difficult to carry out mechanized processing and harvesting activities. Weeds also worsen the very quality of the harvested produce. That is why the availability of a recognition system to the agricultural robot is essential to reduce the adverse influence. It is part of a system of control and destruction. In this weed recognition system, an essential element is a robotic arm to enable a camera to perform video surveillance.The aim of this paper is to modelling only the mechanical anchorage system for weed recognition elements that it does not interfere with the other elements with which it interacts. To be as effective as possible, this system must be as close as possible to the plants and at the same time close to the weed eradication system in agricultural robot.A three-dimensional model of the weed recognition mechanical parts from system is discussed in the paper. It is designed in a 3D Experience environment, taking into account the parameters necessary for the movement of the system. Strength sizing of the structure and working simulations of the model were made.
