Papua Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia which is currently experiencing rapid infrastructure development. The capital of Papua Province is Jayapura City, where currently Jayapura City is one of the cities that is developing the provision of green open space (RTH) in the form of a City Park. The availability of City Parks in Jayapura City is in fact empirically the use or interest of the community towards city parks is lacking. This is what encourages the author to examine how the distribution of City Parks to Jayapura City Spatial Planning. The purpose of this study was to describe the condition of RTH in the form of City Parks in Jayapura City, to find out the distribution of City Parks in Jayapura City and to analyze the needs of City Parks in Jayapura City. The method used is descriptive quantitative which aims to describe the need for green open space (City Park) in Jayapura City through the calculation of a simple mathematical formula. The results of the analysis will be the basis for the study in determining the area needed to provide green open space at the research location by comparing the available green open space. The results obtained are that there are 5 (five) city parks in North Jayapura District, Jayapura City that are inadequate, the availability of RTH for city parks is 282,000 ha and to achieve the standard requirements for the ideal area of green open space in the city, Jayapura City must fulfill 280,795 ha

A Robust Frequency Control Approach in PV-Diesel Hybrid Power System

    Get PDF
Hybrid power generation system such as photovoltaic (PV)-diesel is one of the solution to reduce operational cost of the conventional diesel generation system. However, fluctuation of PV power due to uncertainty in weather condition may generate an unstable frequency of system. Further, it may reduce the reliability of the power utility, especially when the penetration of PV power is large. Therefore, a frequency control approach that involving PV with battery supervised by neural network algorithm is proposed to generate a stable system frequency. This method can reduce the frequency deviation without smoothing PV output power. The PV panels can generate maximum power according to the weather condition and frequency deviation. The PV output power and battery output power is controlled by neural network algorithm control. The neural network algorithm control is considering frequency deviation, average insolation and change of insolation as input. The proposed method is compared with similar system but without the existence of battery as energy storage system. The simulation results show that the proposed method can generate small frequency deviation compared with system without battery

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kampung Maribu, Distrik Sentani Barat, Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua Melalui Pembuatan Media Tanam Hidroponik

    Get PDF

Potensi Pemanfaatan Sumber Energi Alternatif Gas Metana untuk Pembangkit Listrik 3 MW Menggunakan Pemodelan Landgem (Studi Kasus: TPA Koya Koso Kota Jayapura)

The volume of waste will continue to increase with increasing time, population, and economic growth in a city, district, or province. The city of Jayapura, as the center of the economy of the land of Papua, is the same way. The Koya Koso TPA management system for Jayapura City is currently landfill control, where the waste that has been collected at the TPA is stockpiled using layers of soil so that the piles are increasing in number day by day and causing problems including air pollution by methane gas, CO2, and other gases and limited land, thereby reducing the age of TPA Koya Koso Jayapura City. This study aims to determine the potential content of methane gas by modeling it using Landgem software and the potential capacity of electrical energy that can be generated. The results showed that the potential content of methane gas generated from Landgem modeling is 13,134,026 m3/year, or 8,762 tons/year, resulting in a potential capacity of electrical energy of 2,797.22 kW, or 2.8 MW

Analisis Keandalan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mini Hidro Orya-Genyem Berdasarkan Load of Loss Probability

Electricity is crucial for supporting development, the economy, and human well-being, thus leading to an increasing demand for electrical energy. Therefore, power plants are planned and constructed to be as economically viable as possible. In line with the principles of affordability, security of supply, and acceptability, to ensure long-term capacity demand and reliability. The reliability of the power plant is measured using the Load of Loss Probability (LOLP) index, which assesses the probability of components functioning satisfactorily to meet demand. The objective of this research is to analyze the reliability of PLTM Orya-Genyem based on the Load of Loss Probability (LOLP) index. The research methodology is qualitative, commencing with the collection of secondary data, followed by LOLP calculations to obtain reliability information. LOLP index for PLTM Orya-GGenyem is 0,4204%, equivalent to 1,5346 days per year, exceeding the PLN standard of 1 day per year. This indicates a lack of reliability in the power plant. Research findings reveal that daily power demand increases by 0,054 MW for every 1% increase in time. Assessment indicates that peak load surge factor is not the cause of the high LOLP value in PLTM Orya-Genyem. Instead, outages are the cause. The assessment shows that there were 72 disturbances of maintenance outages for PLOG-TA-01 and 145 disturbances of system adjustment outages for PLOG-TA-02. Other outages that happen include low water elevation, water storage duration, floods (accumulated debris), transmission work, blackouts, network disturbances, forced outages, planned outages, sedimentation dredging, water drainage, water filling, performance testing, and maintenance during plant operation
