Decompositions in direct sum of seminormed vector spaces and Mazur-Ulam theorem
It was proved by S. Mazur and S. Ulam in 1932 that every isometric surjection
between normed real vector spaces is affine. We generalize the Mazur--Ulam
theorem and find necessary and sufficient conditions under which
distance-preserving mappings between seminormed real vector spaces are linear.Comment: 7 page
Review of fluid flow and convective heat transfer within rotating disk cavities with impinging jet
International audienceFluid flow and convective heat transfer in rotor-stator configurations, which are of great importance in different engineering applications, are treated in details in this review. The review focuses on convective heat transfer in predominantly outward air flow in the rotor-stator geometries with and without impinging jets and incorporates two main parts, namely, experimental / theoretical methodologies and geometries/results. Experimental methodologies include naphthalene sublimation techniques, steadystate (thin layer) and transient (thermochromic liquid crystals) thermal measurements, thermocouples and infra-red cameras, hot-wire anemometry, laser Doppler and particle image velocimetry, laser plane and smoke generator. Theoretical approaches incorporate modern CFD computational tools (DNS, LES, RANS etc). Geometries and results part being mentioned starting from simple to complex elucidates cases of a free rotating disk, a single disk in the crossflow, single jets impinging onto stationary and rotating disk, rotor-stator systems without and with impinging single jets, as well as multiple jets. Conclusions to the review outline perspectives of the further extension of the investigations of different kinds of the rotor-stator systems and their applications in engineering practice
Methodics of investigation of incitement to suicide of military personnel: problems of formation and implementation
Actual problems of formation of a methodics of investigation of incitement to suicide of military personnel are investigated. It`s substantiated that incitement to suicide of military personnel is a crime with a high level of latency, which causes certain difficulties in the investigation of such crimes. The list of circumstances to be established is offered, features of nomination and check of investigative versions during investigation of such criminal offenses are considered, the analysis of typical investigative situations and algorithms of their decision, the organization and planning of investigation is carried out, tactics of carrying out separate investigative (search) actions, unspoken (search) actions, as well as the application of special knowledge are considered. It`s noted that now there is an urgent need for criminalistic opposition to these criminal manifestations, which necessitates theoretical development of the problem of forming a criminalistic methodics for investigating of sincitement to suicide of military personnel
Reproductive health and human rights: concept, features and classification
The article explores the features of reproductive health legal regulation in Ukraine. The concept of “reproductive rights” is proposed, their basic principles are revealed, elements of the system of such human rights and criteria for their classification are introduced. Legal norms don`t fully provide opportunities for individuals` reproductive rights realization and preservation of their reproductive health.
The purpose of the article is to disclose the features of legal regulation of reproductive rights implementation when studying the concepts of “health and human rights” and “the concept of reproductive rights”. The methodology of this research is based on use of general scientific and special cognitical methods. Comparative legal and comparative methods have allowed studying of laws governing the human right to access “assisted reproductive technologies”. The formal logical method was used to differentiate the criteria for distinguishing between legal structures “reproductive health”, “protection of reproductive health” and “reproductive rights”. The modeling, analysis and synthesis methods made it possible to identify the legal basis for human rights protection in reproductive health field, the principles for reproductive rights implementation, the reproductive rights system and their classification, and deficiencies in legal regulation. The results of this work allowed us to identify the legal problems of legislation that arise in the reproductive human rights implementation. It was proposed the adoption of a single legislative act in Ukraine, which would comprehensively regulate the reproductive health protection, consolidate reproductive human rights and provide guarantees for their implementation
SPECIFICS OF THE FORMING OF THE COMPETENCIES OF THE FUTURE HISTORY TEACHERS
The aim of the article is to define the specifics of formation of future history teachers’ professional competencies. Research competencies are seen among preferential ones, which are to be acquired by higher education applicants of the educational qualification Master in Secondary Education (History). The empirical basis of the research is the results obtained by instructors of the Department during teaching the special courses “History of Stalinism” and “History of New Independent States”. The article highlights methodological techniques and practices, implemented by educationalists in the process of teaching the mentioned special courses, aiming at forming professional competencies of students obtaining Master’s degree. Using the materials of the laboratory “Studying the Soviet Past of the Stalin’s Era” (audio and video recordings of interviews with women from villages in Zhytomyr Region, who were raised in the conditions of the Stalin’s regime) is the peculiarity of the educational process. The focus of attention is the methodology of organization of students’ work with archive sources, scientific literature and narrative texts
Geomagnetic Survey Interpolation with the Machine Learning Approach
This paper portrays the method of UAV magnetometry survey data interpolation.
The method accommodates the fact that this kind of data has a spatial
distribution of the samples along a series of straight lines (similar to
maritime tacks), which is a prominent characteristic of many kinds of UAV
surveys. The interpolation relies on the very basic Nearest Neighbours
algorithm, although augmented with a Machine Learning approach. Such an
approach enables the error of less than 5 percent by intelligently adjusting
the Nearest Neighbour algorithm parameters. The method was pilot tested on
geomagnetic data with Borok Geomagnetic Observatory UAV aeromagnetic survey
data
