    Response of Soybean Cultivars Kipas Putih and Wilis to Soil Moistureon Growth and YieldABSTRACT. The research has been made to explain relationship between soil moisture and the growth and yield of soya bean variety Willis and Kipas Putih. Block randomized design with factor type 2x4 and three repetition has use to analize the effect of soil moisture on those variety. The parameter use in this research were hight of the plan, plan growing rate, number of pod, length of the root, drying biomassa, and dry seed per plan. The research result showed that variety have very significant difference on high of plan 45 days after planting and dry biomassa per plan , have significant difference on growing rate after 45 after planting, number of pod, and has unsignificant difference on high of the plan 14 and 28 after planting, growing rate 28 and 56 days after planting, number of pods,length of the root, and dry seed per plan. Variety willis gives better grow and yield than Kipas Putih. Soil moisture has very significant differency on high of the plan 14 and 28 after planting and growing rate 28,45,56 after planting, number of regume per plan, number of filling pods per plan, length of the root, and weight of dry seed per plan. Field capacity level of soil moisture gives growth and yield better than others. Relationship between variety and soil moisture is very significant on hight of the plan 45 days after planting, growth and yield the best showed by variety Willis and field capacity level of soil moisture

    Perencanaan Perlindungan Pantai Tanjung Nipah Kalimantan Tengah

    Permasalahan yang terjadi pada wilayah pesisir Pantai Tanjung Nipah meliputi mundurnya garis pantai, sedimentasi pada Muara Sungai dan kerusakan konstruksi bangunan pengaman pantai eksisting berupa jetty. Permasalahan tersebut diakibatkan tingginya gelombang. Penyusunan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan dan merencanakan pengaman pantai yang tepat terhadap bahaya erosi dan pengendalian sedimentasi muara sungai di Pantai Tanjung Nipah. Wilayah pantai yang direncanakan yaitu sekitar 1,2 km termasuk area muara Sungai. Hasil analisis dari data angin yang diolah selama 23 tahun didapat angin dominan dari arah selatan dengan prosentase kejadian 29,43%. Tinggi gelombang pecah yang didapat dari gelombang representatif yaitu 0,6 m dan dari gelombang signifikan yaitu 2,1 m. Pengolahan data pasang surut menggunakan metode admiralty. Kemudian dilakukan pemodelan arus pantai dan pasang surut menggunakan aplikasi MIKE 21 Flow Model FM dan pemodelan Perubahan garis pantai menggunakan aplikasi GENESIS (Generalized Model For Simulating Shoreline Change). Berdasarkan analisis perhitungan dan pemodelan disimpulkan bahwa bangunan perlindungan pantai yang dipilih yaitu jetty dan breakwater. Jetty yang direncanakan terbagi menjadi dua yaitu pada sisi timur dengan kedalaman 0,8 m – 1,1 m dan 1,1 m – 1,8 m dan sisi barat dengan kedalaman 0,8 m – 1,1 m. Breakwater direncanakan total 5 buah dengan panjang masing-masing 50 m, jarak antar breakwater 100 m, dan jarak dari garis pantai 100 m

    The discovery of micro RNA (miRNA) in 1993 by Ambros and colleagues has a huge influence in pathogenesis theory, diagnosis and treatment approach of some diseases. Some studies have conducted to seek the association alterations of miRNA expression to incidences and severity of preeclampsia (PE). We have reviewed some studies that conducted to seek the association of miRNA and PE and we discussed the role of various miRNAs in PE pathogenesis. In summary, we have shown that many researchers have given evident that the different placental and plasma miRNA expression is associated with PE. Some studies also identified the novel candidate of miRNAs (and their pathways) that may be of etiologic relevance in the pathogenesis of PE. Base on review, specific miRNA have a role to down regulate of anti apoptosis genes, regulate angiogenics growth factors such as angiogenin, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) B (VEGF-β), cysteine-rich 61 (CYR61), Placental growth factor (PlGF) and VEGF-A that have a role in angiogenesis. miRNA also have a role in survival, migration, and capillary tube formation of HUVEC by targeted of c-kit. Some miRNAs target genes that participate in immunologic dysfunction, cell adhesion, cell cycle, and signaling. miRNA also have a roles in endothelial cell response to hypoxia, cell differentiation, and survival. A miRNA influence calcium signaling through negative regulations of the calmodulin-coding mRNAs, Mef2a and Gata4, mainly in smooth muscle cells that contribute to PE pathogenesis. These investigations provide novel targets for further investigation of the pathogenesis of PE and these differential miRNAs may be potential markers for the diagnosis and provide a potential therapeutic target for PE.     Kaji teoretis dan eksperimental Turbin Crossflow pancaran ganda kapasitas 3kW-5kW bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa dimensi desain Turbin Crossflow yang sesuai dengan daya yang dihasilkan yang tidak hanya dapat digunakan sebagai alat uji, juga dapat diaplikasikan ke masyarakat serta untuk mengetahui hasil perhitungan secara teoretis dengan hasil eksperimental dari Turbin Crossflow. Perancangan dan pembuatan dilakukan dengan mengkaji secara teoretis Turbin Crossflow sehingga didapatkan dimensi desain turbin, rancangan turbin Crossflow, pembuatan komponen-komponen dan proses assembly alat uji. Hasil penelitian tugas akhir ini didapatkan dimensi desain turbin crossflow, dimana: Daya Turbin = 2,778 kW  2,8 kW, tinggi jatuh air (head) = 6 m, Diameter runner = 0,21 m, jumlah sudu = 21 buah, diameter pipa penstock = 6 Inchi, dan diameter poros = 18,87 mm. Selanjutnya dari hasil perhitungan tersebut dibuat komponen-komponen turbin. Adapun tegangan yang dihasilkan rata-rata 350 Volt

    OPTIMIZATION OF ANNEALING TEMPERATURE FOR COI GENE AMPLIFICATION ON EXTRIMOPHIL FISH USING REAL-TIME PCR

    Extremophilic fish require genetic characterization to determine the identity of their species, their kinship, and the potential for genetic variation due to extreme environmental adaptation. DNA barcoding using Fish-F2 and Fish-R2 primers at an annealing temperature of 52oC for 15 seconds showed qualitative failure results in most fish species. For this reason, optimizing the annealing temperature in the PCR process is necessary to obtain DNA bands that correlate with successful identification. Fish samples were obtained from Ruai Silip, Bangka Island, Membalong, Belitung Island, and Way Kanan, Lampung, Sumatra Island. The annealing temperature optimization was set at 50, 50.4, 51.1, 52.3, 53.7, 54.8, 55.5, and 56°C. Five species of extremophile fish were tested, namely Brevibora sp, Barbodes binotatus, Rasbora bankanensis, Anabas testudineus, and Aplocheilus panchax. Extremophile fish showed differences in the appearance of DNA bands in PCR with different annealing temperatures. Brevibora sp showed a visualization of DNA bands at 54.8°C, Barbodes binotatus at 53.7, 54.8, 55.5, and 56°C, Anabas testudineus at 50 and 50.4°C, and Aplocheilus panchax produced clearly visible band on annealing temperatures

    Islamic Banks' Financial Stability and Its Determinants: a Comparison Study with Conventional Banks in Indonesia

    The research aimed to analyze the stability of Islamic banking industry and its determinants in Indonesia. The same analysis was also done to the conventional banking industry as Indonesia practices dual banking systems. Using monthly data on Indonesian Banking Statistics for 2008-2013, this research implemented the Banking Stability Index (BSI) model for predicting the bank's stability. The analysis began with measuring BSI then using VECM to examine the effect of variables on BSI. The result showed that the BSI of both banking system was exhibiting the moderate level of stability though Islamic banking is more stable and safe way of financing than conventional banking. The shocks of inflation, exchange rate, efficiency, income diversity, liquidity, and Industrial Production Index responded positively by Islamic Bank' stability, while interest rate and market share responded negatively. In another hand, conventional bank' stability responded positively the shock of the exchange rate, income diversity, interest rate, liquidity, and market share, while other variables responded negatively. The results of shocking variables strongly indicated that the conventional banking is more vulnerable than Islamic banking. Islamic banking looked tend to the shock resistance and less volatile. This conclusion, however, might be still questioned as the BSI was not designed specifically for Islamic banking. Therefore, constructing an Islamic BSI (under Islamic banking characters) was important to measure the banking stability more appropriate and to develop a proper early warning system for Islamic banking industry

    Authentic Assessment on Fiqh Subjects at Class XI IIk 2 MA Al Ma'had An-Nur Bantul

    This research aimed to find out how the implementation of authentic assessment in online learning for fiqh subjects in class XI IIK 2 MA Al Ma'had An-Nur Bantul. This research was qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis method used the theory of Miles and Huberman. Not only that, the checking technique of the data validity used several criteria. The research results revealed that (1) includes competency assessment during the online learning process, the teacher saw student activity when participating in learning through Google Meet. (2) Knowledge Competence using written assessment instrument techniques and assignments or projects. (3) The psychomotor competence of students to practice creative and innovative skills. The assessment results could be seen from two things, namely, students were able to understand the material provided, and students were trained in honest behavior. The supporting factors were teachers, school facilities, and quota assistance. While the inhibiting factors were that the assessment was not very effective during the pandemic, learning was not conducive, and the lack of communication between teachers and students so that the administrators were overwhelmed in dealing with existing problem
