Effet des champs électriques continus sur la brillance de substances luminescentes maintenues sous excitation
Application of DC fields to .U. V. excited ZnS CdS phosphors results in a rapid light pulse and a subsequent quenching. A second pulse and quenching are observed on shortcircuiting the phosphor cell. The dependence of the amplitudes of these pulses on the applied voltage, on the polarity of the illuminated electrode and on the past history of the cell is investigated. Explanations of these effects are given
