Synthesis of Ni/NiO Nanopowder by Thermal Decomposition of Nickel Acetate Amine

    Get PDF
Ni/NiO nanopowders have been synthesized using thermal decomposition of nickel acetate hexaammine in air. Obtained powders have been characterized by IR-spectroscopy, XRD and TG, DTA, DTG and HR TEM. Thermal decomposition of nickel ammine complexes occurs with forming nickel hydroxide, carbonate and hydroxocarbonate ammines precursors. Mean particle size of nickel and nickel oxide phases in powders depends on temperature. In the temperature range from 350 to 500 degrees Celsius the particle size of nickel oxide has grown from 5 to 25 nm and nickel from 50 to 55 nm. Particle size of 5 nm for nickel hydroxide ammine remained unchanged with temperature. When you are citing the document, use the following link http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/3481

Social and psychological features of inter-cultural adaptation of Russian students in different universities

    Get PDF
Modern globalisation processes, the rapid entry of Russia into the world community, have given more opportunities to interact with various ethnic groups ranging from short-term tourist and business contacts to complex processes of migration and emigration. Migrants and visitors have different goals for staying in a new country, meanwhile the researchers note a lot in common within the adaptation processes of both groups. In particular, tension, stresses and experience of cultural shock during adaptation are observed. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct psychological studies not only of migrants who come for a long time to a new country, but also of visitors, i.e., interns, students who come to study in foreign universitie

Etiquette Behavior in the Context of University Organizational Culture

    Get PDF
The aim of this study is to reveal interrelationship between the notions of etiquette behavior of students and teachers and the characteristics of organizational culture at universities. Methods. The research is based on a survey. The sample included 141 students and 69 teachers from Russian universities. A set of diagnostic methods was used to gather the empirical data. Data on teachers’ and students’ attitude to institutionalization of etiquette rules and dress code as well as students’ compliance with etiquette rules were collected using the author’s questionnaire; data on evaluation of etiquette functions were obtained through the questionnaire Subjective Evaluation of Etiquette Functions’ Significance by O.I. Danilenko, data on existing and preferred organizational culture in the respondents’ universities – through Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) by K. Cameron and R. Quinn. Results. Correlations between indicators, characterizing etiquette behavior and current organizational culture type, were identified in both groups: positive for clan and adhocracy culture type, negative – for hierarchical. Statistically significant positive correlations between evaluation of etiquette functions' significance and evaluation of students’ compliance with etiquette rules and clan culture, negative correlations between the same indicators of etiquette behavior and hierarchical culture were revealed in the students’ group. In teachers’ group, evaluation of etiquette functions' significance, positive attitude to institutionalization of etiquette rules and dress code are correlated positively with clan and adhocracy organizational culture, negatively – with hierarchical. Conclusion. The gathered data indicate: the higher both students and teachers evaluate characteristics of clan and adhocracy culture, the higher is their evaluation of the importance of etiquette behavior. The higher are values of hierarchical culture characteristics, the lower is evaluation of etiquette importance

Evaluation of grain yield and quality in maize hybrids of various origin under the conditions of Primorsky Territory

Background. This study was dedicated to the evaluation and selection of maize hybrids of different origin for important agronomic traits and for protein and oil accumulation in grain under the conditions of Primorsky Territory, as well as for their possible use as source material for breeding.Materials and methods. Twenty-two grain maize hybrids of various geographic origin were studied at the Federal Scientific Center of Agricultural Biotechnology of the Far East named after A.K. Chaika” in 2017–2020. Useful agronomic characters and biochemical indications were assessed, correlations between parameters were established, and an integrated evaluation of maize hybrids was made. The hybrids were ranked relative to a predetermined ideal model.Results. Based on the results of the integrated assessment, maize hybrids Р 7709, Р 8688 and Р 8523 (Pioneer Corporation) and Si Rotango (Syngenta) had the highest scores for a set of important agronomic traits under the conditions of Primorsky Territory. Higher protein content levels were detected in maize grain when the combination of temperature and moisture was optimal (Selyaninov’s hydrothermal coefficient = 1.1). The highest oil content was observed at an enhanced level of soil moisture (HTC = 3.1). The Si Rotango hybrid had the maximum protein content. The NUR, Ladozhsky 181 MV and P 7054 hybrids showed the maximum in oil content. Strong direct correlations were discovered between the yield and the weight of 1000 kernels and one ear, and between grain yield and the height of the lower ear position. Weak reverse correlations were observed between biochemical parameters and yield, and between a FAO maturity group and grain yield

Spectral multiplicity for powers of weakly mixing automorphisms

We study the behavior of maximal multiplicities mm(Rn)mm (R^n) for the powers of a weakly mixing automorphism RR. For some special infinite set AA we show the existence of a weakly mixing rank-one automorphism RR such that mm(Rn)=nmm (R^n)=n and mm(Rn+1)=1mm(R^{n+1}) =1 for all nAn\in A. Moreover, the cardinality cardm(Rn)cardm(R^n) of the set of spectral multiplicities for RnR^n is not bounded. We have cardm(Rn+1)=1cardm(R^{n+1})=1 and cardm(Rn)=2m(n)cardm(R^n)=2^{m(n)}, m(n)m(n)\to\infty, nAn\in A. We also construct another weakly mixing automorphism RR with the following properties: mm(Rn)=nmm(R^{n}) =n for n=1,2,3,...,2009,2010n=1,2,3,..., 2009, 2010 but mm(T2011)=1mm(T^{2011}) =1, all powers (Rn)(R^{n}) have homogeneous spectrum, and the set of limit points of the sequence {mm(Rn)n:nN}\{\frac{mm (R^n)}{n} : n\in \N \} is infinite
