An adaptive membership management algorithm for application layer multicast

Due to deployment difficulty of network layer multicast, application layer multicast is considered to be a good substitute for massive P2P video/audio streaming in large networks. However, in application layer multicast, the participating users join and leave the on-going session at will. Therefore, a scalable and reliable group membership management algorithm is necessary due to the highly dynamic nature of the overlay network, built on top of the Internet. Gossip-based algorithms seem to be a solution. However, most gossip-based membership management algorithms lack flexibility, and are unable to adapt to the everchanging network dynamics, imposing roughly the same amount of overhead on the network. A new adaptive gossip-based membership management algorithm is proposed to bridge the gap. This algorithm captures the changes of the network and adjusts the parameter settings dynamically, bringing adaptivity and reducing overhead. Simulation results indicate a maximum of 50% reduction can be achieved in terms of network overhead on core network components, such as backbone links and attached routers, without sacrificing reliability and scalabilit

Pendekatan konseling rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) dengan teknik dispute kognitif untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa kelas VII.F SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar

This study aims ro find out how to improve confidence of student's class  VII of SMP negeri 12 denpasar using a approach method konseling Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) with dispute/kognitif technique. This research was a act and guidence and conselling (PTBK). It was done for two time.This research was conducted at SMP N 12 denpasar the sample of this research took 40 participants.The data collection method was used is confidence Angket,data analysis technique was used are percentage analysis technique,where  all the quistionnaire is answered have been collected,than tabulated those answers. The research result showed that percentage of confidence of student's  class VII F was getting higher,average 35,21% is showed improvement skor.before sampling is been done from 40,5 become 58,33 after sampling have been done. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII.F SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar dengan menggunakan pendekatan konseling Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) dengan teknik Dispute kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan dalam bimbingan dan konseling (PTBK) dengan pelaksanaan dua siklus, Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 12 Denpasar. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 40 orang. Metode pengumpulan data berupa angket percaya diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis persentase, di mana setelah semua jawaban terkumpul kemudian ditabulasikan jawaban tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase peningkatan skor kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII F sebesar 35,21 % yang mana mengalami peningkatan skor sebelum dilakukan tindakan sebesar 40,5 menjadi 58,33 setelah dilakukan tindakan

Several adaptive technologies are very important, namely NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access), JAWS (Job Access With Speech), I-Chat (I Can hear and talk). Penerapan Konseling Behavioral dengan Teknik Penokohan (Modelling) untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VII A SMPK 2 Harapan Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Behavioral Counseling with modeling techniques to increase learning motivation of class VII A SMPK 2 Harapan students in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Research subjects in this study were 36 students. Through the observation questionnaire assessment conducted there were 5 students who have low learning motivation. The results of this study indicate that from 19.14% to 35.71% with an initial data score of 43.8%, an increase of 30.34% to 57% in the low category. Furthermore, the results of the second cycle (II) action, it is clear that there is an increase in the learning motivation of class VII A students of SMPK 2 Harapan for the 2019/2020 academic year from 22.03% to 36.36% with an initial data score of 57%, an increase of 29.95%. to 74% in the high category. This proves that behavioral counseling with modeling techniques is effective for increasing learning motivation of grade VII A students of SMK 2 Harapan for the 2019/2020 academic year

IMPLEMENTASI ALGORITMA CAT SWARM OPTIMIZATION DALAM MENYELESAIKAN JOB SHOP SCHEDULING PROBLEM (JSSP)

Cat Swarm Optimization (CSO) algorithm is a metaheuristic algorithm which is based on two behaviors of cat, seeking and tracing. CSO algorithm is used in solving optimization problems. One of the optimization problems which can be seen in daily life is Job Shop Scheduling Problem (JSSP). This study aimed to observe the performance of CSO algorithm in solving JSSP. This study focused on 5 job-12 machine cases. According to this study, CSO algorithm was effective in solving real case of JSSP in 5 jobs – 12 machines scheduling at CV Mitra Niaga Indonesia agriculture tools industry. In implementing CSO algorithm in JSSP, a correct parameter choosing could lead to an optimal result. On other hand, the greater the number of jobs or machines the more complex and difficult the JSSP that needed to be solved

PERAMALAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE BACKPROPAGATION NEURAL NETWORK

The purpose of the study is to forecast the price of rice in the city of Denpasar in 2017 using backpropagation neural network method. Backpropagation neural network is a model of artificial neural network by finding the optimal weight value. Artificial neural networks are information processing systems that have certain performance characteristics similar to that of human neural networks. This analysis uses time series data of rice prices in the city of Denpasar from January 2001 until December 2016. The results of this research, concludes that the lowest rice price is predicted in July 2017 at Rp9791.5 while the highest rice price in April 2017 for Rp9839.4

Indonesia’s Constitutional Court Decisions on Outsourcing Scheme: Balancing Protection and Efficiency?

This article explores the Indonesian Constitutional Court’s views through its decisions in shaping the practice of outsourcing in Indonesia based on the 1945 Constitution. The study was first conducted by analyzing Decision No. 012/PUU-I/2003 and later Decision No. 27/PUU-IX/2011. The novelty of this research is evident from the involvement of perspective in analyzing the outsourcing scheme in Indonesia as newly regulated in several laws, namely Job Creation Law and the Government Regulation in lieu of Job Creation Law. Using the normative legal research method, the authors used statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. Based on the research conducted, the authors found that the Constitutional Court aims to uphold the balance of companies’ efficiency and outsourced workers’ rights protection. The findings are evidenced by the Constitutional Court’s stance in a decision that implies that outsourcing is constitutional to enhance the State’s economy while simultaneously protecting the outsourced workers’ rights to ensure the fulfillment of their constitutional rights by setting two-fold models of protection. Therefore, even if new outsourcing scheme regulations are issued, the criterion of legality in future judicial reviews must involve determining whether such balance has been sufficiently met
