Bima is one of the figures who is loved by Balinese Community. This matter indicates that there is a similar perception to that figure, namely he has a big, strong, solid, and very muscled body, and undefeated by enemies whoever his foes are. Bima is a figure who always wins, and is heroic, resolute, firm stand, tough, obeying his words, string in personality, and quite. Characters and physical pictures of the figures can understood in various fields of arts in Bali like in literature knows as mahakarya Mahabharata. His perceverance, courage, and rigidity appear in the Bimasuarga and Dewaruci. The depicted figure of Bima resembled like those conveyed in fine art, wayang art, and dance-drama. Thus, the figure of Bima in Bali has good image, a figure who is courageous, resolute, persistent, a protector of his brothers. His simple and frank utterance appears like arrogant, but soft hearted, especially to woman (his mother Dewi Kunti and wife Drupadi). In fine art, the figure of Bima becomes a popular idol to contemporary painter, Nyoman Gunarsa, in Klungkung. Bima as the right figure in wayang art is a symbol of kindness, truth, honesty, and victory. Dengan alat ini ahli kesehatan atau dokter dapat memonitor sinya1 ECG pasien dari ja.rak jauh kemudian mendiagnose penyakit jantung terhadap diri pasien melalui monitor atau kertas cetak khusus. Nan1UB melalui peralatan ini masih memerlukan peralalan lain untuk memon i tor dan menganalisanya yang telah diterima. Karena itu melalui tugas akhir ini direncanakan menginterfacekan Receiver HP 78101A ke kompu terun tuk memonitor dan mendeteksi arrhythmia sinyal ECG secara real time. melalui ADC, unit interface, dan menyirnpan data ke disket. kemudian dari data tersebut diolah dengancara menganalisa komponen sinyal ECG. yang berhubungan dengan bentuk gelombang P. Q. R. s. T. Menarnpilkan serta mencetak sinya1 ECG ke printer. Dengan rnenggunakan IBM PC un tuk rnemon i tor ser ta mengana1isa sinya1 ECG diharapkan dapat meningkalkan efisiensi kerja ahli kesehatan untuk mendiagnose penyakit jantung pasien

The Character Education Based on Local Wisdom in the Tradition of Materuna Nyoman in Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, Karangasem-Bali of Indonesia

The aim of this study was to reveal the character values that contained in the tradition of Materuna Nyoman in Tenganan Pegrisingan Village. The method used was qualitative. The data was collected through interview, observation, and document analysis techniques. Interviews were conducted with religious leaders, traditional leaders, youth, and communities who understand the Materuna Nyoman tradition. Observations were carried out by observing the process of the Materuna Nyoman tradition. The data is then given meaning by other written sources. Afterwards, it was analyzed interactively and described with a social science approach. The results indicated that the Materuna Nyoman tradition had character values contained in the procession of implementing this tradition and the values contained, including kinship, patience, responsibility, discipline, hard work and independence. The findings of this study can be used as a model of character education based on local wisdom in Balinese society in particular and Indonesia in general. Besides, it can be used as an alternative model for formal education in schools

This study aimed to describe the historical review of the formulation and ratification of the Pancasila and to analyze the flow of thought for the finalization of Pancasila in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. This study used ideological-historical methods with literature study techniques. The Panitia Sembilan formulated Pancasila's ideology at the Investigative Agency for the Preparatory Work for Independence (BPUPK) meeting on 29 May 1945 to 1 June 1945 and stipulated in the Jakarta Charter on 22 June 1945 and ratified by the Preparatory Committee for Indonesian Independence (PPKI) on 18 August 1945. FOLKLORE AND SOCIAL SCIENCE LEARNING MODEL IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN BALI

Folklore is a strategic media for the educational process, namely expository and humanistic for children. Through folklore, children have a rational, realistic perspective, values and orientation in accordance with the culture they have. However, the development of digital media with all its sophistication often removes the cultural values of children. Children lose their idol character that can be used as role models, alienated from their own cultural values and lose their identity amidst massive developments in digital information. As Bourdieu's view of habitus as a set of values, practices and inner tendencies, both structured and structured, where habitus can continue to develop (generative) and transferred from one domain to anotheR. In practice the presence of digital media turned out to have an impact on the uprooting of cultural values that should be accepted by children at an early age, because it was replaced by technological developments. Understanding this phenomenon, reinforces the ideas of Borg and Gall, in this study the development of education by utilizing folklore, not only developing an existing educational model, but also finding knowledge to solve existing problems. The learning model applied by the teacher is a learning model created by foreign experts which is often not relevant to students' cultural values. This condition is caused by the lack of local culture-based learning models, the absence of innovative efforts by teachers to develop local culture-based learning models and the lack of teachers' ability to organize and implement local culture-based learning models. By this research, Balinese folklore has a very strategic value for the development, empowerment, and preservation of Balinese customs and traditions

Vaspin in Developing Obesity (Vande-Ob); the Correlation of Waist Circumference and Visceral Fat Percentage with Vaspin Levels in Patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus

BACKGROUND: Vaspin concentration was thought to be associated with obesity, impaired insulin sensitivity, and fitness level. The correlation of vaspin and leptin supports the theory of vaspin associated with body fat mass. AIM: To determine the correlation between visceral fat distributions and serum vaspin level in type II DM patients. METHODS: We conduct an observational, analytical cross-sectional study. Sixty subjects with type II diabetes mellitus who came to Diabetes Center of Sanglah General Hospital were included consecutively. Each subject has to sign an informed consent before physical and laboratory examination took place. Spearman correlation test was used to analyse the correlation between waist circumference and visceral fat percentage with serum vaspin level since the data were not distributed normally. RESULTS: Mean laboratory results in all subjects of vaspin levels was 2.389 ± 3.586 ng/ml, mean waist circumference was 94.95 ± 11.78 cm and mean visceral fat percentage was 18.05 ± 23.63%. We found we found no significant correlation between between vaspin with waist circumference (r = -0.044; p = 0.738) and visceral fat percentage (r = -0.103; p = 0.435). CONCLUSIONS: The vaspin level did not significantly correlate with waist circumference and visceral fat percentage in type II diabetes patients

Sidemen, Karangasem. The rise of counterfeiting, piracy, due to unfair competition between employers or artisans indeed lead to conflict and losses for other parties. The issue of legal protection (Copyright) in the field of trade or business is necessary. Therefore the author will discuss "How to Process Copyright Registration and Complaints Regarding Copyright Infringement Motifs Weaving Endek and Songket." The objectives and benefits to be achieved are helping community empowerment and obtaining thought and knowledge assistance in planning and implementing development. In connection with the discussion above, we provide Weaving Counseling on Copyright Protection according to Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyrights, which intended, so that weaving artisans understand related to copyright protection of their woven motifs. So that in the future, it expected that copyright registration related to weaving themes in Telagatawang Village would increase, and the craftsmen can complain and follow up on copyright-related violations such as plagiarism

An Ecological Aspect Of The Text Kuttara Kṇḍa Dewa Purāna Bangsul Concerning Mount Batukaru

This article is intended to reveal the ecological aspect of Kuttara Kandha Dewa Purana Bangsul, a text in which it is described that Mount Batukaru is one of the holy areas in Bali Island. It is considered a place where the god of fertility resides; therefore, its ecosystem needs to be maintained. Such a signification is interesting and important to be investigated. The other reason is that, physically, the Mount Batukaru area is a water absorbing area as well as a nature reserve area. The problem of the study is how Mount Batukaru is pictured and signified in the text. The data were collected using the observation, reading, note taking, transliterating, and translating techniques. The theory of Semiotics proposed by Roland Barthes was employed. The result of the study shows that Mount Batukaru is considered the center of the energy of plants; therefore, it is recommended that plants be maintained and respected as the God’s physical form. It is expected that the result of the study may be used as one of the references to save the environment as one of the world’s current strategic issues.</p
