The expected cosmic ray density and stream distributions at the heliolatitudinal asymmetry of solar wind
The results of the spatial distribution of cosmic ray density, gradients, and anisotropy obtained on the basis of the numerical solution of the anisotropic diffusion equation with an account of solar wind velocity change depending on the latitudinal angle theta of the form U=u sub oe sup alpha theta and the diffusion coefficient depending on the spatial coordinates and the particle rigidity are presented. It is shown that the increase of the solar wind velocity and the diffusion coefficient with heliolatitude leads to gradient distributions that are in accord with experimental data observed in space. The results of the energetic spectrum of 11 and 22-year cosmic ray variations obtained with an account of direction of the general magnetic field of the Sun are presented are given
Dynamics of open quantum systems
The coupling between the states of a system and the continuum into which it
is embedded, induces correlations that are especially large in the short time
scale. These correlations cannot be calculated by using a statistical or
perturbational approach. They are, however, involved in an approach describing
structure and reaction aspects in a unified manner. Such a model is the SMEC
(shell model embedded in the continuum). Some characteristic results obtained
from SMEC as well as some aspects of the correlations induced by the coupling

U graditeljstvu je Cibala osnovni građevinski materijal opeka,. koja se pojavila zajedno s Rimljanima. Pečena glinena ploča postaje, zahvaljujući bogatstvu sirovina, vrlo tražen i omiljen građevinski materijal, a ujedno i vrlo značajan proizvod u keramičarskoj djelatnosti Cibala. Zbog vrlo široke upotrebe izrađivala se u raznim veličinama i oblicima. Od pojave u 2. stoljeću pa do danas opeka nije izgubila svoj primat u graditeljstvu
Arheološka iskopavanja na srednjovjekovnom lokalitetu Meraja u Vinkovcima
Tijekom mjeseca svibnja i lipnja 1997. izvršeno je arheološko iskopavanje na srednjovjekovnom lokalitetu Meraja u Vinkovcima. Iskopavanja su vršena u sklopu programa obnove i revitalizacije gotičke crkve sv. Ilije na Meraji, te rješavanja prezentacije temelja ranoromaničke crkve i kompletnoga izgleda parka. Odabir sondi i veličina iskopa dogovorena je sa stručnjacima Instituta za povijest umjetnosti iz Zagreba, koji su željeli provjeriti temelje gotičke crkve i riješiti pitanje sakristije i zvonika. S arheološke strane to je značilo istraživanje groblja koje je bilo u upotrebi od XI. Do druge polovice XVIII. stoljeća
Collective narcissism moderates the effect of in-group image threat on intergroup hostility
WOS:000319485100005 (Nº de Acesso Web of Science)Results of 4 experiments demonstrated that under in-group image threat collective narcissism predicts retaliatory intergroup hostility. Under in-group criticism (vs. praise) collective narcissists expressed intention to harm the offending out-group but not other, nonoffending out-groups. This effect was specific to collective narcissism and was replicated in studies that accounted for the overlap between collective narcissism and individual narcissism, in-group positivity (in-group identification, blind and constructive patriotism), social dominance orientation, and right wing authoritarianism. The link between collective narcissism and retaliatory intergroup hostility under in-group image threat was found in the context of national identity and international relations and in the context of a social identity defined by university affiliation. Study 4 demonstrated that the relationship between collective narcissism and intergroup hostility was mediated by the perception of in-group criticism as personally threatening. The results advance our understanding of the mechanism driving the link between collective narcissism and intergroup hostility. They indicate that threatened egotism theory can be extended into the intergroup domain

PROSPECT OF USING BIOTECHNOLOGIES FOR CORRECTION OF LIVER FAILURE (Review of literature)
The review presents and discusses modern conceptions about causes of development, existing ways of prevention and correction of liver failure. Unsatisfactory effectiveness of traditional infusion and medicinal therapy, as well as low availability of extracorporal detoxification and liver transplantation methods generates a need for search of brand new patogeneticaly substantiated methods of treatment of liver failure. The data about pathogenesis of liver failure and about sanogenesis and regeneration processes are presented. Hepatocite growth factor plays leading role in that processes, most important effects of present cytokine are considered. Next part of the article describes principles, mechanism of action and results of experimental use of cell therapy method. This method has shown effectiveness in animal models and it is perspective for further improvement, but not allowed for clinical use.
