    Impact of Communication to Culture Values of Buton Sultanate in the Coastal Communities in Buton Regency Southeast Sulawesi Province Indonesia

    The research was conducted in two sub district of Buton regency namely Pasar Wajo and Siotapina. The major objective of the research was to determine impact of communication to culture values of Buton sultanate in the coastal communities in Buton regency Southeast Sulawesi Province – Indonesia. Specifically, the research to determine impact of television to the knowledge of respondent used to obtain culture values of Buton sultanate messages among the coastal people in Buton regency, to determine the frequency and duration of media used to obtain knowledge of culture value messages among the coastal people in Buton regency. The differentiation between selected of interpersonal communication variable with the knowledge on culture values of Buton sultanate of respondents both of sub district in Buton regency were also included as the objective of this research. The sub district were selected base on their population density. Respondents were personally interview using structured questionnaires. Samples of 99 respondents from the area namely 50 respondents of Pasar Wajo sub district and 49 repondents from Siotapina sub district , which the both sub district were in coastal area , exposed mass media , interpersonal communication, group communication to the knowledge on culture values of Buton sultanate . The result indicated that most of the respondent in both sub district in Buton regency have high level of knowledge in receiving culture values of Buton sultanate messages . Status of knowledge which was supposed to be highly influenced by the degree of exposed to the various television channel used was also proven in this research

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jaringan komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh elit politik dalam revitalisasi nilai – nilai budaya kesultanan Buton sarapataanguna di masyarakat agraris kabupaten Buton. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini adalah: Bupati, anggota DPR, penyuluh dinas pertanian, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata, Kepala Seksi Kebudayaan dan Cagar Alam, Tokoh Adat, Tokoh Sejarah, Tokoh Pemuda, Petani dan Akademisi yang ditetapkan secara purposive dengan menetapkan sampel wilayah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan studi dokumentasi. Tahapan analisis data dilakukan, sebelum dilapangan, selama dilapangan, dan selesai dilapangan melalui domain analysis dan taxsonomi analysis.     Environmental Factors and Students\u27 Learning Approaches: a Survey on Malaysian Polytechnics Students

    Several studies have shown the impact of environmental factors on student learning approaches. Despite the importance of such studies, studies on technical learners are few. Thus, this study aimed to determine the influence of learning environment on Polytechnics students\u27 learning approaches in Malaysia. Learning environment plays an important role in the cognitive, effective and social domains of students because it could improve students\u27 learning outcomes. Learning approaches refer to the ways students deal with academic tasks that are related to learning outcomes. This study used Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and Revised Two-Factor Study Process Questionnaire (RSPQ-2F) to collect the research data. Data were analyzed using AMOS Version 18. Multiple regressions were conducted to predict learning environment factors that influenced the level of students\u27 learning approaches. The result shows that effective teaching is a major factor that influences students\u27 deep approach followed by the assessment, learning resources and clear objectives

    Epidemiological and Clinical Features of COVID-19 Patients at National Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta,Indonesia

    The emergency hospital is intended to prevent transmission of COVID-19 in the community by isolating patients without symptoms, with mild or moderate symptoms. This study evaluated the clinical characteristics and outcomes of COVID-19 patients who were admitted to this facility. This retrospective study reviewed data of patients treated at the National Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran in Jakarta, Indonesia, from March 23 to April 30, 2020. Patient characteristics (clinical symptoms, laboratory test results, Chest X-Ray, SARS-CoV-2 immunoserology, and RT-PCR results from nasopharyngeal/ oropharyngeal preparations) were compared between severity groups. There were 413 COVID-19 cases analyzed, of which 190 (46%) were asymptomatic, 93 (22.5%) were mild, and 130 (31.5%) were moderate cases. Most asymptomatic cases were male, with young age, and without comorbidity. Mild cases were dominated by female and young patients, while most moderate cases were male and older patients. The number of patients with comorbidities was higher in mild and moderate cases. The patient’s overall outcome was good and did not differ based on the severity of symptoms. Despite the many challenges, patients with moderate symptoms can be safely treated in the emergency hospital

    Early Marriage Phenomena in Pandemic Era at Luwu Utara, Indonesia

    The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of life. Not only the decline in the economic situation, but it has also had an impact on the emergence of social problems such as the high rate of early marriage. Early marriage has been a scientific concern for a long time. However, scientific studies have not been able to reduce the rate of increase in the number of children marrying early. The loss of the rights of children who should receive proper education, play and the right to protection are forced to be “bound” in a marriage. The purpose of this article is to add references to solving the problem of early marriage which has been long problematic on an international, national and regional scale. This article discusses the objective conditions of early marriage during a pandemic and criticizes the implementation of strategies for preventing and handling cases of the early child marriage. The data in this study were taken from the main data in the form of in-depth interviews with competent informants. Additional data was taken from existing data at the related office in North Luwu Regency along with the news from online sites, became a reference in this article. This study establish that the number of early marriages has rising due to the widespread use of social networks and changes in daily activity patterns. For future studies, it is recommended to consider the determinant factors in different locations and in a wider scope
