The basic AB problem is to determine how an unshielded tube of magnetic flux $\Phi$ affects arbitrarily long-wavelength charged particles impinging on it. For spin-1 at almost all $\Phi$ the particles do not penetrate the tube, so the interaction essentially is periodic in $\Phi$ (AB effect). Below-threshold bound states move freely only along the tube axis, and consequent induced vacuum currents supplement rather than screen $\Phi$. A Phenomenological Study of Pastors Who Were Mentored and the Perceived Value of the Mentor Relationship

The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological research study was to explore the value of a mentor in the life and ministry of a pastor who began pastoring with less than thirty (30) regular attendees and surpassed one hundred (100) regular attenders. The following research questions (RQ1-3) were used to guide this study. RQ1.: What perceived effect does the use of a mentor have on a pastor’s overall leadership and congregational growth of regular attendees? RQ2.: How did the participating pastors describe the value of having a mentor or coach? RQ3.: What coaching or mentorship models exist for pastors who lead a congregation of fewer than thirty members? The sample for this study included interviews with seventeen pastors who met these requirements. A phenomenology descriptive study was used for exploring how pastors of Evangelical Christian churches describe the value of a mentor and their church leadership style. Obstructive sleep apnoea is a common and serious breathing problem that is caused by effects of sleep on pharyngeal muscle tone in individuals with narrow upper airways. There has been increasing focus on delineating the brain mechanisms that modulate pharyngeal muscle activity in the awake and asleep states in order to understand the pathogenesis of obstructive apnoeas and to develop novel neurochemical treatments. Although initial clinical studies have met with only limited success, it is proposed that more rational and realistic approaches may be devised for neurochemical modulation of pharyngeal muscle tone as the relevant neurotransmitters and receptors that are involved in sleep-dependent modulation are identified following basic experiments

THE DERIVED DEMAND FOR IRRIGATION SCHEDULING SERVICES

Scientific irrigation scheduling is a technique for systematically determining the proper date and quantity of each irrigation in individual fields. This technique is presently being used by government agencies and private companies in the Western United States to assist farmers in planning irrigations. This paper presents the results of a case study of the regional economic effects of scheduling the A & B District in Idaho. The analysis indicated that substantial reductions in total water use resulted from implementation of the service. However, the acreage of scheduled irrigation actively was found to be sensitive to the cost of the service and the cost of irrigation water.Farm Management,
