    In the title organic–inorganic hybrid vanadate complex, [Cu2V6O17(C10H8N2)4]n, the CuII atom is six-coordinated by two chelating 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) ligands and two vanadate O atoms in a distorted octa­hedral geometry. Two [Cu(bipy)2V3O8] units are linked by a bridging O atom, which lies on an inversion center, forming a dimeric unit. The dimeric units are further connected by bridging vanadate O atoms into a two-dimensional layer parallel to (100). The layers are connected by weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds

    Experimental study and weighting analysis of factors influencing gas desorption

    Gas is one of the necessary contributing factors for coal and gas outburst accidents, and the gas desorbed in coal is the energy carrier in the outburst process. The study of gas desorption laws is the premise and basis for gas content determination and gas accident prevention. To solve the problem of inaccurate gas content measurement due to the unclear characteristics of rapid gas desorption in 0–10 s, the gas desorption experimental device was improved, the influence factors of gas desorption were studied experimentally, and a comprehensive analysis method was proposed based on the gas desorption rate, gas desorption efficiency, initial gas desorption amount and total desorbed gas. The experiment analysed five factors that affected gas desorption, including the degree of metamorphism, type of failure, particle size, pressure and temperature. The results show that there is a monotonically decreasing power function relationship between the initial gas desorption rate and time and a monotonically increasing logarithmic function relationship between the gas desorption amount and time; the curve has a limit value. The gas desorption amount is large in 0–10 s and increases slowly afterwards. Among the factors affecting gas desorption, their importance decreases in the order of pressure > metamorphism > particle size > failure type > temperature. This study is of great practical value for the calculation of gas losses in gas content determination, and the resulting gas desorption laws are of great importance in guiding gas control work

    The value of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy after extubation in patients with acute respiratory failure

    OBJECTIVE: To investigate the value of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy after extubation in patients with acute respiratory failure. METHODS: A single-center, prospective, randomized, controlled pilot trial was conducted between January 2013 and December 2014. Sixty enrolled patients were randomized immediately after extubation into either a high-flow nasal cannula group (n=30) or an air entrainment mask group (n=30) at a fixed inspired oxygen fraction (40%). The success rate of oxygen therapy, respiratory and hemodynamic parameters and subjective discomfort (using a visual analogue scale) were assessed at 24h after extubation. RESULTS: The two groups were comparable at extubation. A total of 46 patients were successfully treated including 27 patients in the high-flow nasal cannula group and 19 patients in the air entrainment mask group. Compared to the air entrainment mask group, the success rate of oxygen therapy and the partial pressure of arterial oxygen were significantly higher and the respiratory rate was lower in the high-flow nasal cannula group. In addition, less discomfort related to interface displacement and airway dryness was observed in the high-flow nasal cannula group than in the air entrainment mask group. CONCLUSIONS: At a fixed inspired oxygen fraction, the application of a high-flow nasal cannula after extubation achieves a higher success rate of oxygen therapy and less discomfort at 24h than an air entrainment mask in patients with acute respiratory failure

    INTERACTIONS AND INFLUENCES ON COAL MINERS' SAFETY ATTENTION: AN EVALUATION USING IMPROVED DEMATEL-ISM

    In coal mining, the myriad of factors influencing miners' attention to safety necessitates deeper exploration. Particularly, discerning the significance and interplay of these factors offers crucial insights into the actual disparities in miners' safety attentiveness. Yet, a limited number of comprehensive studies address this dimension. Thus, an advanced Decision Making Trial Evaluation Laboratory-Interpretive Structural Model (DEMATEL-ISM) has been employed to probe the determinants impacting coal miners' safety focus and the mechanisms underpinning these interactions. The objective is to provide strategies that could diminish the occurrence of minor accidents. Results revealed that there are 9 causative factors and 6 resultant factors shaping the coal miners' attention to safety. Within the structural model of these factors, three layers and seven levels were identified. Notably, the intricacy of relationships among these factors was found to be profound. Emphasis is recommended on the management of these intricate deep-level causative factors boasting high driving power, and mid-level resultant factors characterized by both substantial driving force and dependence

    Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome in children: a case report

    BACKGROUND: Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging infectious disease caused by a novel bunyavirus (SFTSV) in China. Humans of all ages living in endemic areas have high risk of acquiring SFTS. Most clinical data so far have been from adults and no clinical study was available from children yet. The present study identified four SFTSV infected children through hospital based surveillance. A prospective observational study was performed to obtain their clinical and laboratory characteristics. CASE PRESENTATION: The patients’ age ranged from 4–15 years old and two were male. On hospitalization, fever, malaise and gastrointestinal syndromes were the most commonly presenting symptoms. Hemorrhagic symptoms or neurological manifestation was not recorded in any of the four pediatric patients. Hematological abnormalities at admission into hospital included leucopenia (4 cases), thrombocytopenia (1 case) and bicytopenia (1 case). The abnormal parameters included elevated aminotransferase (1 case), alanine transaminase (2 case), and lactate dehydrogenase (3 case). Laboratory parameters indicative of renal damage was not observed during the hospitalization. All the patients recovered well without sequelae being observed. CONCLUSION: Compared with adults, pediatric patients with SFTSV infection seem to have less vague subjective complaints and less aggressive clinical course. Thrombocytopenia is suggested to be used less rigorously in recognizing SFTSV infection in pediatric patients, especially at early phase of disease

    Electronic structure of Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34)

    We report the electronic structure of the iron-chalcogenide superconductor, Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34), obtained with high resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and density functional calculations. In photoemission measurements, various photon energies and polarizations are exploited to study the Fermi surface topology and symmetry properties of the bands. The measured band structure and their symmetry characters qualitatively agree with our density function theory calculations of Fe(Te0.66Se0.34), although the band structure is renormalized by about a factor of three. We find that the electronic structures of this iron-chalcogenides and the iron-pnictides have many aspects in common, however, significant differences exist near the Gamma-point. For Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34), there are clearly separated three bands with distinct even or odd symmetry that cross the Fermi energy (EF) near the zone center, which contribute to three hole-like Fermi surfaces. Especially, both experiments and calculations show a hole-like elliptical Fermi surface at the zone center. Moreover, no sign of spin density wave was observed in the electronic structure and susceptibility measurements of this compound.Comment: 7 pages, 9 figures. submitted to PRB on November 15, 2009, and accepted on January 6, 201

The mol­ecules are linked via inter­molecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving water mol­ecules to form extended chains along [010], and there are short Cl⋯Cl contacts [3.153 (4) Å]

    Data-Centric Financial Large Language Models

    Large language models (LLMs) show promise for natural language tasks but struggle when applied directly to complex domains like finance. LLMs have difficulty reasoning about and integrating all relevant information. We propose a data-centric approach to enable LLMs to better handle financial tasks. Our key insight is that rather than overloading the LLM with everything at once, it is more effective to preprocess and pre-understand the data. We create a financial LLM (FLLM) using multitask prompt-based finetuning to achieve data pre-processing and pre-understanding. However, labeled data is scarce for each task. To overcome manual annotation costs, we employ abductive augmentation reasoning (AAR) to automatically generate training data by modifying the pseudo labels from FLLM's own outputs. Experiments show our data-centric FLLM with AAR substantially outperforms baseline financial LLMs designed for raw text, achieving state-of-the-art on financial analysis and interpretation tasks. We also open source a new benchmark for financial analysis and interpretation. Our methodology provides a promising path to unlock LLMs' potential for complex real-world domains
