Face recognition from still and motion image has been an active and emerging research area in the field of image processing, pattern recognition and so on in the recent years . The challenges associated with discriminant face recognition can be attributed to the following factors such as pose, facial expression, occlusion, image orientation, image condition, presence or absence of structural component and many more. In this paper, we have tried to emphasize on the morphological analysis of images based on the behavior of the intensity value. Firstly images with various situations of a person are selected as training images. Based on the min, max and average characteristics of images, the training model has been built. Morphological analysis like binary image processing, erosion and dilation play the important role to identify the facial portion of an image from the whole one. Finally face recognition has been made for input images based on their intensity value measurement. The training images collected from various database such as YALE, ORL, and UMIST and others. The algorithm performed well and showed 80 percent accuracy on face predictio

Sisätiloissa suoritettiin pintakosteusmittauksia niissä tiloissa, joissa kosteuden esiintymisen todennäköisyys on verraten suuri. The purpose of this final project was to find out the condition of Ämmänsaari School and then to produce a service book. The school building was built in the early 1960's. With the help of the building technical estimate the aim was to find out the condition of the building at the moment and the need for possible renovation. A long-term timetable for the renovations was included in the technical estimate of the building. The timetable makes it possible to anticipate and organize the future repairs in a reasonable order. The School is a typical building built in the 1960's. The problems are in the isolation of the walls and in the condition or location of the complementary structures in the external walls. Examples of problems are windows and drainpipes. The service book was made to serve maintenance and service in the property. The proper use of the service book helps to put the inspection and service measures in a correct order. The service book was prepared to serve the needs of the property by drawing up valid instructions of the Property file (KH-kortisto). The service book is the first one made in a property owned by the municipality of Suomussalmi. The service book shows the municipality one way how to implement possible service books in the future

BACKGROUND: The main purpose of the study was to establish whether essential components of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) exist in the human aqueous humor. METHODS: Forty-five patients ≥ 60 (74±7) years of age undergoing cataract surgery at Tampere University Hospital were randomly selected for the prospective study. The exclusion criterion was the use of oral antihypertensive medicine acting via renin-angiotensin system. Aqueous humor samples were taken at the beginning of normal cataract extraction. The samples were frozen and stored at -80 °C. The concentrations of intraocular endogenous RAS components Ang(1-7), ACE2, and ACE1 were measured using ELISA. RESULTS: Concentration medians of Ang(1-7), ACE2, and ACE1 in the aqueous humor were: Ang(1-7) 4.08 ng/ml, ACE2 2.32 ng/ml and ACE1 0.35 ng/ml. The concentrations were significantly higher in glaucomatous than in non-glaucomatous eyes, ACE1 (p=0.014) and Ang(1-7) (p=0.026) vs non-glaucomatous eyes. CONCLUSIONS: Ang(1-7), ACE2 and ACE1 are found in the human aqueous humor. The observations are consistent with the conception that local tissue-RAS exists in the human eye and it might have a role in the control of intraocular pressure
