Digital Factory and Virtual Reality: Teaching Virtual Reality Principles with Game Engines

Virtual reality (VR) is widely used in various industrial applications. All leading industrial manufacturing companies today have a strategy called the ‘concept of a digital factory’ where all aspects of manufacturing are digitally verified on digital mock-ups prior to physical manufacturing. Other than that, it is a rapidly developing new medium and further development of VR and IT will open up new possibilities. The new concept of Industry 4.0 is based on using approaches like the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Cyber-Physical Systems and Virtual Reality. With the decreasing cost of VR devices, even smaller businesses are able to implement such technologies. It is therefore crucial that mechanical engineering graduates are familiar with these new technologies and trends. We had to use unconventional methods to educate mechanical engineering students in the latest trends in IT and VR. Back in 2010, there were almost no tools available for teaching how to create industry-themed VR environments, which did not require complicated coding, so we decided to make our own. To simplify the development, we used Source Engine as the core and enhanced it with a library of textures, models and scripts we called DigiTov. Although Source Engine is a game engine, the master logic of VR development is the same as for professional SW products. Tree-unitarity bounds for THDM Higgs masses revisited

We have reconsidered theoretical upper bounds on the scalar boson masses within the two-Higgs-doublet model (THDM), employing the well-known technical condition of tree-level unitarity. Our treatment provides a modest extension and generalization of some previous results of other authors. We present a rather detailed discussion of the solution of the relevant inequalities and offer some new analytic formulae as well as numerical values for the Higgs mass bounds in question. Triple gauge vertices at one-loop level in THDM

Renormalized triple gauge vertices (TGV) are examined within the two-Higgs-doublet model of electroweak interactions. Deviations of the TGV from their standard-model values are calculated at the one-loop level, in the on-shell renormalization scheme. As a consistency check, UV divergence cancellations anticipated on symmetry grounds are verified explicitly. Dependence of the TGV finite parts on the masses of possible heavy Higgs scalars is discussed briefly.Comment: 10pages, 13figure

Jiří Jančík ABSTRAKT: Předkládaná diplomový práce se zabývá etymologickou analýzou označení barev ve francouzském jazyce a úsloví barvy obsahujících. V teoretické části je představena základní lingvistická terminologie nutná pro provedení etymologické analýzy; praktická část se poté zabývá samotnou analýzou. Účelem práce je důkladně analyzovat šest základních barev jak po stránce etymologické, tak symbolické. Dále se práce věnuje etymologické analýze barev, jejichž označení jsou do značné míry specifická a nevšední. Jedná se o barvy typu liščí ocas, bonbón, berlínská modř, čaj, kaki, perla nebo sníh, které jsou rozděleny do podskupin dle toho, jaké slovo obsahují (např. barvy nesoucí název zvířete, potraviny, tekutiny, materiálu, místa původu apod.). U těchto barev je zkoumán jednak jejich původ, ale také konkrétní důvod, proč tyto barvy nesou takové označení. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá úslovími obsahující název barvy. Zde jsou popisovány idiomy typu bílá noc, žluté nebezpečí, být zlý jako červený osel, cordon bleu, nebo zelený jazyk. Jiří Jančík ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis concerns the etymological analyses of colour names in the French language and related idioms. In the theoretical part we present the basic linguistic terminology necessary for the accomplishment of the etymological analyses; the practical part concerns the analyses itself. The objective of the thesis is to deeply analyze the six basic colours both from the etymological and symbolic point of view. Furthermore, the thesis concerns the etymological analyses of colours the names of which are to some extend specific and remarkable. We talk about colours like: fox tail, bonbon, the Berlin blue, tea, khaki, pearl or snow, divided into groups according to the word they contain (colours containing a name of an animal, food, liquid, material, the place of origin, etc.). These colours are examined not only etymologically; we are also interested in the reason for which they are called so. In the last part of the thesis we scrutinize also idioms containing a name of a colour; we talk about idioms like white night, yellow danger, to be bad like a red donkey, cordon bleu or green tongue. Návrh architektonického řešení základní školy Rohanské nábřeží, Praha 8

Předmětem zadání je zpracování návrhu novostavby základní školy v Praze 8 v katastrálním území Karlín, která bude sloužit 810 žákům prvního a druhého stupně. Kromě 27 kmenových tříd a dalších odborných učeben záměr počítá se třemi tělocvičnami, školní jídelnou, družinou a dalšími nezbytnými provozy. Cílem je vytvořit kvalitní řešení kontaktu budov s okolím a venkovním prostředím - mimo jiné tedy propojení s veřejným prostranstvím a parkem. Základní škola a její areál jsou situovány do centra nově plánovaného administrativně - bytového souboru Rohan City, a mohla by tak sloužit jako místo setkávání obyvatel Karlína a dolní Libně. Počítá se tedy s přístupností pro veřejnost a také s celkovou multifunkčností prostor školyThe subject of the assignment is an elaboration of a design for a new primary school in Prague 8 in the cadastral area of Karlín, which will serve 810 pupils. In addition to 27 main classrooms and other professional classrooms, the plan envisages three gyms, a school canteen, childcare and other necessary facilities. The aim is to create a quality solution for the contact of buildings with the environment and the outdoor environment - among other things, the connection with public space and with the park. The primary school and its area are located in the center of a newly planned administrative and housing complex Rohan City, and could thus serve as a meeting place for the inhabitants of Karlín and lower Libeň. Accessibility for the public is taken into account, as well as the overall multifunctionality of the school premises
