Utilizing of Cellulolytic Bacterium and Cellulolytic Fungi From Giraffe’s Feces as an Inoculum to Increase the Quality of Rice Straw
The research aimed to conduct the isolation of cellulolytic bacterium and cellulolytic fungi
from giraffe’s faeces, by selecting the cellulolytic bacteria and cellulolytic fungi, the to identify
isolation and chosen the isolate of cellulolytic bacterium and the best cellulolytic fungi to be used
on fermentation of rice straw.. The research was divided into 2 phases. The research including (a)
isolation of cellulolytic bacterium and cellulolytic fungi, taken from the faeces of giraffe from
Safari Park of Pandaan East Java, (b) selecting the isolates by conducting a test of the rice straw’s
fermentation. The best fungi and bacteria selected against the lowest crude fibre content and the
highest crude protein. The data analyzed by the Variant Analysis and for the difference of mean
among treatment, tested with the Duncans Multiple range Test. The results of the first phase
research were (a) for the isolation obtained 4 isolate of cellulolytic bacterium that were:
Acidophihurn facilis, Acetobacter liquefaciens, Cellulomonas Sp, and Acenitobacter sp. Two isolates of
cellulolytic yeast were Geotrichun sp, and Cryptas porium Sp. (b) The chosen selection for the isolate
of bacterium was Acetobacter liquefaciens, and for the isolate of yeast was Geotrichum sp

The Use of Recycle Soybean Fermented Cake (Tempe) with Aspergillus Niger and Lactobacillus as Corn Substitution to Carcass and Abdominal Fat Percentage of Broiler
An experiment was conducted to evaluate the use of fermentation by product sOybcafl
fermented cake (tempe) with Aspergillus niger and Loctobacitjus as corn substitutio,ì to
carcass and abdominal fat percentage of broiler. This experiment was carried out using 24
broilers, started at two weeks of age and finished at five weeks of age, divided into four type
treatment of three different level of fermentation by product soybean fermented cake
(tempe) and six replications. Experimental method was based on Completely Randomized
Design (CRD). The data obtained were analyzed by variance analysis and the difference
between treatments with Duncan’s test. P0 as a control, did not. use fernieiitation by
product soybean fermented cake (tempe), Pl was using 5 %, P2 was using 10 % and P3 was
using 15 %. The result of this research showed that the use of fermentation by product
soybean fermented cake (tempe) as corii substitution to carcass and abdominal fat.
percentage of broiler was not different significantly with control, so it can give a n effect as
good as control (Po). From the results, it can be concluded that fermentation by product
soybean fermented cake (tempe) could. use as substitution of corn on maximal percentage
mixed broiler feed.

Komposisi Bakteri dan Jamur Selulolitik Cairan Rumen Domba yang Diberi Pakan Jerami Padi yang Difermentasi Menggunakan Inokulum Bakteri dan Jamur Selulolitik Feces Jerapah
This research aim to know the effect of rice straw fermentation utilizing, using
inoculum bacteria Acetobacter liquefaciens and fungi Geotrichwn sp. towards the
amount of the fungi and bacteria, the cellulolytic fungi, and cellulolytic bacterium in
sheep s rumen liquid
The research was the main research, using 20 local sheep which were divided
into 4 treatments with 5 replications. P0 : rice straw + 3% urea + 3% molasses +
without isolate, PI isolate bacterium of Acetobacter liquefaciens, P2 isolate yeast of
Geotrichum sp, and P3 isolate Acetobacter liquefaciens and Geotrichum sp. The data
analysed by the Varians Analysis and for the difference of mean among treatment,
tested with the Duncan’s Multiple range Test.
The result of the main research was local sheep given feed of rice straw which
fermentated by bacterium suspension of Acetobacter liquefaciens, yeast of
Geotrichwn sp., and the mixture of Acetobacter liquefaciens and Geotrichum sp. were
able to optimalizing pH, and increasing the amount of the fungi and bacteria, the
cellulolytic fungi, and cellulolytic bacterium in sheep’s rumen liqui
Konsumsi dan Kecernaan Bahan Kering Serta Berat Akhir Ayam Pedaging Jantan yang Diberi Pakan Substitusi Biskuit Afkir Terfermentasi
The aim of this study was to understand the effect of fermented was biscuits in the commercial
feeding for consumption and the dry matters digesbility of feed and the last weight of the broiler. The study
used 40 male broiler and were divided in 4 kinds of treatment. In P0 treatment using commercial feeding in PI
treatment using commercial feeding and 10% of the fermented waste biscuits. In P2 treatment using commercial
feeding and 20% of the fermented waste biscuits. In P3 treatment using commercial feeding and 30 % of the
fermented waste biscuits. All treatment the feed were givcn ad libitum from 23 days of age until 44 days of
age. The results showed that the substitution had no effect of lamentai waste hiscutts ainst the dry matter
digestibility, but had effect against decrease of the dry matter consumption and the last weight of broiler at 10%
and 20% substitution. AI the 30% substitution had no significant effect against the commercial feeding dry matter consumption and last weight of broiler

Implementation of Meniran Extract (Phyllanthus Niruri Linn) on the Performance of Broiler Chickens Infected by Mycoplasma gallisepticum Caused Chronic Respiratory Disease
Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) of chicken is a disease that has great economic losses in poultry industry in the world. The losses are mainly due to the decrease of body weight gain, feed efficiencies, hatchabilities and increase conversion of the feed, of embryo mortality. The main causative agent of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) is Mycoplasma gallisepticum. Mycoplasma gallisepticum attacks the respiratory tract, especially in young broiler chickens with age ranged 3-5 weeks. CRD treatment usually uses macrolide antibiotics, because it has proven effective to inhibit protein synthesis. However, it is not recommended to continuously given because the chicken can be resistant to the medicineand leave a harmful reside to consumers. The development of herbal medicine utilization currently is mostly implemented for the treatment of diseases that infected livestock. Meniran plants (Phyllanthus niruri Linn) is one of the plants that can be used as prevention and alternative treatment caused by Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD). Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri Linn) has the content of bioactive compounds that have antibacterial activity, including terpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. The purpose of this study is to test and evaluate the effectiveness of Meniran extract (Phyllanthus Niruri Linn) on the performance of broiler chickens infected by Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), seen from the feed conversion. Keywords: Meniran, Mycoplasma galisepticum, Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), performance of Broiler Chickens, Feed Conversio
