    The Non Linear Finite Element Model for Characterization of Brick Masonry Infill Wall under Cyclic Lateral Forces

    Brick masonries as the infill walls between columns, for some degree of horizontal loading, are capable of resisting the horizontal load as shear walls. The different behavior of the structure due to the existence of the brick masonries in this case will change the stiffness as well as the strength of the structure. Ignoring this contribution of the brick masonries develops a misleading concept and design for the structure. In this study, a mathematical model representing the relationship between uniaxial stress vs. strain and the failure envelope of the infill brick wall masonry is developed. The implementation of the model is expected to be capable for analyzing the behavior of the structures subjected to external load in particular under cyclic loading. The model assumes that the contribution of the infill walls are taken into account for the analysis and the brick material used is considered as a compression dominated material. Analysis was carried out using non-linear discrete finite element method. Eight nodal isoparametric elements are developed representing concrete and brick masonry elements. Steel reinforcement and linkage elements are modeled as three nodal plane truss element. The variables studied in the analysis are degree of energy dissipation and stiffness degradation. The result showed that the model gives satisfactory results. However, some improvement needs to be considered in the linkage element model

    CALCULATION OF EARTHQUAKE RESISTANT STRUCTURE OF MEDICAL CENTER BUILDING RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH (RSUD) SOEDARSO PONTIANAK USING PUSHOVER ANALYSIS

    Hospitals are essential in providing health services and must withstand the forces that may occur, even due to an earthquake. RSUD Soedarso is a hospital in Pontianak City that has been around for a long time. However, because it is already quite old, various problems must be addressed. The step taken by the government is to build a new building, namely the Medical Centre and Inpatient Building.The purpose of writing this final project is to evaluate the performance of the earthquake-resistant structure of the Soedarso Hospital Medical Centre building using the pushover analysis method. This method analyses the inelastic behaviour of the system due to the earthquake, where the result is a curve of the relationship between the shear force and the displacement of the roof that occurs. The guidelines for pushover rules used are based on the provisions of ATC-40 and FEMA 356. Further research was carried out on the dilation between the Medical Centre Building and the IRNA Building.The results are that both buildings are still in elastic condition when the performance point is reached. Based on ATC-40 and FEMA 356, the building is classified as in the Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance level, regarding drift ratio and from plastic hinges that occur in column and beam elements. Then the dilatation that arises due to pushover is smaller than the design dilation of 150 mm. Both buildings are protected from potential collisions, which is a relief

     Persimpangan Empat tak bersinyal di simpang Jalan Sompak – Jalan Bengkayang – Jalan Pontianak, Jalan Kampung Baru di kecamatan Mempawah Hulu kabupaten Landak ini merupakan persimpangan empat lengan yang tak bersinyal dimana pada Jalan ini setiap harinya dilewati berbagai macam kendaraan baik bermotor maupun tidak bermotor seperti sepeda, sepeda motor, angkutan umum pedesaan dan mobil pribadi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisa kinerja simpang untuk kondisi saat ini. Memproyeksi/prediksi arus lalu` lintas yang melewati simpang pada 5 dan 10 tahun mendatang. Setelah dilakukan analisis menggunakan metode pedoman Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia 1997 memperlihatkan bahwa kinerja simpang masih dalam kondisi baik dengan derajat kejenuhan (DS) kurang dari 0,85 untuk arus lalu lintas sebanyak 3,083 smp/jam. Pada proyeksi tahun (2022) DSnya sebanyak 0,06 untuk tahun (2027) sebanyak 0,18 dan pada tahun (2032) DSnya sebanyak 0,71, Pada persimpangan Jalan Sompak – Jalan Bengkayang - Jalan Pontianak - Jalan Kampung Baru perlu Penambahan rambu arus lalu lintas seperti rambu rambu penunjuk arah di simpang Jalan Sompak–Jalan Bengkayang-Jalan Pontianak-Jalan Kampung Baru serta, Perlu dilakukan evaluasi lebih lanjut terhadap kinerja simpang dengan menggunakan metode yang lain.Kata kunci : Derajat kejenuhan (DS), Kapasitas (C), Kinerja simpang dengan menggunakan metode MKJI 1997,  Peluang antrian dan tingkat pelayanan (LOS), Tundaan (D)

    Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang nilai pendidikan karakter dalam perspektif islam pada sebuah legenda Batu Menangis yang berasal dari Kalimantan Barat. Karakter merupakan tabiat, watak, akhlak atau menyangkut baik buruknya budi pekerti seseorang. Setiap ajaran agama mengajarkan seseorang memiliki karakter yang baik, salah satunya dalam pandangan islam. Untuk mengajarkan kepada anak-anak akan pentingnya nilai karakter dapat melalui cerita. Pesan yang dikandung dalam cerita sangat bermanfaat bagi pembentukan karakter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai karakter yang seharusnya dimiliki oleh anak terhadap orang tua pada khususnya dan orang lain pada umumnya dalam perspektif islam. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan dari penelitian ini meliputi empat nilai karakter yang muncul yakni Darmi, Ibu Darmi, dan para perempuan. Darmi digambarkan memiliki watak pemalas, kasar, dan pembohong. Ibu Darmi memiliki watak penyabar dan baik hati. Para perempuan memiliki watak peduli. Abstract:  This study discusses the value of education character in an Islamic perspective in a legend of Batu Menangis originating from West Kalimantan. Character is a character, character, morals or concerns the good and bad character of a person. Every religious teaching teaches a person to have a good character, one of which is in the view of Islam. To teach children the importance of character values can be through stories. The message contained in the story is very useful for character building. The purpose of this study is to describe the character values that children should have towards parents in particular and other people in general in an Islamic perspective. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study found that there were four character values that emerged, namely Darmi, Ibu Darmi, and women. Darmi is described as lazy, rude, and a liar. Mrs. Darmi has a patient and kind character. Women have a caring disposition
