Potassium hexafluorophosphate KPF6 has been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, calorimetry and Brillouin spectroscopy. With decreasing temperature, the crystal shows a sequence of phases: NaCl-type cubic-monoclinic-monoclinic with two-phase coexistence regions in between.
