Peasant farming had been seen for many years as a means of fighting rural poverty in the Sub-Saharan zone of Africa. With the passing of time, new researches had shown that the notion is fading off since studies have established that only a small percentage of those farms have seen expansion and intensification leaving the rest stagnated with lowing productivity, decrease in size and low output. Alternative sources of rural income are therefore important to determine for specific locations. This paper looks at the effects of shea picking on rural household income in four (4) communities in the Sumbrungu area of the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region of Ghana. Regression analysis performed indicated that shea picking activity in the selected communities is a signification source of income as compared to the official minimum dairy wage in Ghana. The main factors that influence income of shea-picker household are the age of the picker and the quantity of shea fruits picked per day and an interaction between shea quantity and location of community with respect to Bokom community. Income distribution among interested households under this work appeared to be well distributed which indication that a common taughtfully designed poverty reduction strategy could be rolled out in all the communities in the area and among all shea-picker households

The article outlines the new technologies of the multilevel approach in the application of neuro-acoustic and photodynamic stimulation in the protocols of correction of the psychophysiological state of the footballers at the stage of rehabilitation and in the process of preparation for the game. This protocol is based on the application of general and zonal stimulation of the neuromuscular system at individually selected frequencies in combination with the psychological state correction by physiotherapy methods

The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of sanation of oral cavity in young athletes on the course of adaptation of the cardiovascular system to the condition of sports activities. According to the research results, it was revealed that the optimal period for sanation of periapical odontogenic foci in athletes with clinical signs of impairment (dysfunction) of cardiovascular system adaptation to exercise stress was a preparatory training period, while carious lesion sanation required preparatory or postcompetition periods.

The shea tree is found in the wild, it is therefore in no dought that the major factor that determines total actual yield is the weather, precisely the rainfall pattern. On the other hand, the total collected fruits are determined by both the weather and the financial position of the collector since most of them rely on it as a supplement to household income. Likewise, the total shea nuts produced is depends on the availability of sunshine for drying the nuts. Also shea butter is considered as substitute to cocoa butter, implying that its demand is most likely negatively tide to the price of cocoa. The effect of these factors was therefore evaluated on the export of shea nuts. The study showed that there is weak negative correlation for current year rainfall at the north, past year rainfall at the south and cocoa price (-0.10812, -0.23174 and -0.05151) respectively whiles past year rainfall at the north, real GDP percentage growth, cocoa price have weak positive correlation (0.07643, 0.31749, and 0.19056) respectively. The study also revealed that temperature has a stronger positive correlation (0.53055) with shea export. The study concluded that with an annual average temperature of 29°C and average annual rainfall in the northern part of Ghana (between 937 mm and 1136 mm) and dedicated attention given to the shea industry, it will contribute immensely to the GDP growth of Ghana

Improving the efficiency of induction heating of parts in the air gap of the magnetic circuit is associated with the use of surface and edge effects. Through modeling in ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite 19.2 and experimental studies identified patterns of edge effect in the heated parts. To ensure the uniformity of induction heating of small parts and reduce the soldering time, the electrical switch of soldered parts is used, which with the help of device controller forms a secondary circuit with low electrical resistance and high density of eddy currents
