In the context of today ‘s business world the multinational companies use as managerial instruments the intercultural working teams (IWT). The performance management seems to be problematically within this kind of teams. Their members are liable to bring on a large scale different points of view related to proper ways of reward, recognize, estimate as well as train and develop the working team members. IWT are the interaction's expression between people with different values and behaviors, derived from various national and/or organizational cultures. This document is an introduction of an extensive study that is ongoing and aims to clarify if and why the intercultural teams are differently managed as the monocultural teams and what does this difference consist of. Ensuing from bibliographical research, I have identified up to now various performance management models applied to the working teams. Now I will follow how these models could be applied, improved or combined, in the context of intercultural component of working teams.management, performance, interculturality, work team, models

This article is based on research result that was financed by DP2M DIKTI on 2009 budgeting year with contract number 123/H47.C1/PL/2009.the research aimed to desain a craft souvenir by utilizing the potential of culture and art of Gorontalo as source of idea and the potential of wood waste as the material.the method was experiment method.the procedure of the research was done through.1)exploration,to find the idea or concept in creating the craft souvenir that came from culture and art of Gorontalo also considering the characteristic of wood waste.while the visual product was 43 alternative sketches, the 20 sketches as the best designing, and 20 work picture as the representation of 18 ideas or concept.that design included the original and had a cleary source, this it has a potential to get copyright (HKI)and competitiveness.that product is useful in supporting the development of creative industry, especially in providing the craft design that innovative, unique and prospective. Keywords:culture and art of Gorontalo, wood waste, carft ,and creative industry

INTERCULTURAL WORK TEAMS, A CHALLENGE IN THE NEW CONTEXT OF ROMANIA’S EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

In the context of globalization, organizations proceed to adapt to exploit new opportunities by creating intercultural work teams (IWT). Consequently, their management acquires new dimensions. To be successful, international companies should adapt to cultural norms of the host country, without neglecting their own organizational cultural values that have ensured their success. IWT are the main instrument used currently to achieve this fit. IWT are the basic unit for performance in any global organization. We analyze the situation of IWT in Siemens VDO Romania and Alcatel-Lucent Romania, as promoters of teamwork and intercultural knowledge transfer inside them.work teams, intercultural, globalization, management

A Review of Recent Solar Type III Imaging Spectroscopy

Solar type III radio bursts are the most common impulsive radio signatures from the Sun, stimulated by electron beams traveling through the solar corona and solar wind. Type III burst analysis provides us with a powerful remote sensing diagnostic tool for both the electron beams and the plasma they travel through. Advanced radio telescopes like the LOw Frequency ARray (LOFAR), the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) and the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) are now giving us type III imaging spectroscopy with orders of magnitude better resolution than before. In this review, the recent observational progress provided by the new observations is discussed for type III bursts at GHz and MHz frequencies, including how this enhanced resolution has facilitated study of type III burst fine structure. The new results require more detailed theoretical understanding of how type III bursts are produced. Consequently, recent numerical work is discussed which improves our understanding of how electron beams, Langmuir waves and radio waves evolve through the turbulent solar system plasma. Looking toward the future, some theoretical challenges are discussed that we need to overcome on our quest to understand type III bursts and the electron beams that drive them
