Hemodialysis is a treatment that must be done by patients with chronic renal failure. Hemodialysis can changes the various aspects of life of patients, and it cause anxiety. One of the method that can used to reduce anxiety is Benson relaxation techniques. This technique is a combination of relaxation and elements of religious beliefs espoused. To determine the effect of Benson relaxation techniques for anxiety in patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy. Quasi Experiment pre post test design with comparison groups with simple randomization tech- niques conducted, the number of respondents is 30 people were di- vided into intervention group (n = 14) were given relaxation Benson for 2 weeks every day at 6 am and 5 pm and the comparison group (n = 16) were not given the intervention. Anxiety measurements performed twice pretest and posttest with Analog Anxiety Scale (AAS). The average of respondent's anxiety pre dan post relaxation tecnic Benson in the inter- vention group 21,93 and 13,59. And in the comparison group 17,19 and 12,94. This study showed that there was a significant decrease in anxiety scores in the intervention group p=0.001 (p<0.05) and com- parison group p=0,014 (p<0,05). The study showed that the interven- tion group obtained a average difference of 8.36, while in the control group obtained a average difference of 4.25 with p value 0.118 (p> 0.05). There are no significant differences in the average difference of anxiety in both groups. Benson relaxation techniques have no effect to the de- crease anxiety scores of hemodialysis patients

Hypertension is a common health problem in the community. Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to degenerative diseases, such as congestive heart failure, kidney failure, and vascular disease. Hypertension is called the "silent killer" because it is symptomatic that cause strokes and heart disease. Therefore, patients with hypertension should have adherence to effectively control and obtain regular double intervention either farmako and other alternatives such as complementary therapies. The purpose of this study was to determine the star fruit (Averrhoacarambola) as a complementary therapy is effective in reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. This study begins with empirical studies and phytochemical test on star fruit in a laboratory Pharmacy Polytechnic Bandung, and worthy of ethics and the MoU between the Ministry of Health Polytechnic Yogyakarta and Bandung. This research method using experimental design, the type of Quasi experimental, with "Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design without" 80 respondents in Community Health Centre Sleman Yogyakarta and Sukajadi Bandung. The results of the analysis of different test by Mann-Whitney that there was no significant difference to the decrease in blood pressure between the groups and slices of star fruit juice in systolic blood pressure p = 0.197 (> 0.05) and diastolic p = 0.061 (> 0.05). Results Wilcoxcon analysis, significantly there is a decrease in systolic blood pressure p = 0.000 (<0.05) and diastolic p = 0.000 (<0.05) after given juice and slices of starfruit. Phytochemical screening observed in the flavonoid as an amplifier arrangement of capillaries, decrease the permeability and fragility of blood vessels, as well as having bioactive compounds such as diuretics which can promote blood circulation, and thus can reduce the risk of heart and cardiovascular disease as well as preventing hypertensive disorders. Starfruit juice as a complementary therapy known to be effective in lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension.

WHO estimates that global prevalence of type II diabetes will increase from 171 million in 2000 to 366 million in 2030, and Indonesia was ranked fourth (Soegondo , 2007) . According to records at the health center Gamping II that the number of people with diabetes in the working area in 2014 there were about 400 people , average visit of 106 people for blood sugar control with most of the blood sugar levels while above normal ( > 200 mg / dl ) . Government efforts that have been made to combat the disease is to provide services at the hospital level and community health centers. Services close to the people is needed to sensitize them to conduct disease management at home as well so that complications can be delayed or prevented . The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Posyandu PTM - DM compliance diabetes management at home with the type II diabetes patient. This study was a quasi experimental design with pre test - posttest design with control group The number of samples in this study were 64 respondents were divided into two group 32 respondents as a treatment group and 32 respondents as a comparison group . Consecutive sampling is used as technic sampling. Analysis of data using Mc Nemar and Chi square test . In the treatment group, compliance management of diabetes at home before the activity at Posyandu PTM - DM obedient and after activity obedient were 18 respondents , before the activities at Posyandu PTM - DM obedient and activity at Posyandu PTM - DM not obedient were 2 respondents , before and after the activity at Posyandu PTM - DM is not obedient were 10 respondents , before activity at Posyandu PTM – DM not obedient and after activities obedient were 2 respondents. Mc Nemar test results α 0.039 ( p < 0.05) . Respondents with compliance management of diabetes at home after PTM - DM Posyandu activities adhere to the treatment group there were 28 respondents and a comparison group of 20 respondents . Respondents with compliance after Posyandu activities PTM - DM does not adhere to the treatment group there were 4 respondents , 12 respondents comparison group . Chi square test results α 0.021 ( p < 0.05 ). Posyandu PTM - DM affect the compliance of diabetes management at home in the type II diabetes patient

Operating or surgery act is a tense complex event, because beside having a physical disorder it will be able to generate psychological problems for the patients. Surgery can cause anxiety when it comes to dealing with it. Therapeutic communication actions involving patients can identify the problems. Interaction between the nurse and the therapeutic patient will produce information for the nurses about the condition of the patient and the nurse can provide information on how to solve the problem (preoperative anxiety) by helping the patient to clarify and reduce the burden of the mind and is expected to eliminate anxiety related to surgery act.To determine the effect of therapeutic communication on anxiety in preoperatingpatients. This study used experimental quasi. The design of the research is group pre test and post test with control. The technique of sampling uses consecutive sampling. The amount of sample of this research is 58 respondents. The data was collected using Independent T-Test.There was a difference anxiety before and after in the intervention group that was giving therapeutic communication through health education. The result of Independent T-Test was obtained p value = 0.000 (<0.05).There is a therapeutic communication reduce anxietypreoperative patient. Hypertension is a common public health problem. Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to degenerative diseases, such as congestive heart failure, kidney failure, and vascular disease. Althoug not curable, prevention and appropriate treatment can reduce the incidence of hypertension and accompanying diseases. The study aims to determine the effect of celery juice (Apium graveolens) on systolic blood pressure of Wistar rat ( Rattus Strain) with NaCl-induced hypertention. The study was a true experimental study with pre – post tes with control design. The study enrolled 18 Rattus Wistar strain devided into tree groups were experiment 1 (6 rats), experiment group 2 (6 rats) and control group (6 rats). Sampling technisque used random sampling. Celery juice in experimental animals given twice daily at 10:00 and 15:00 for two weeks. In treatmet group 1 celery juice given 0.009 gram/grams of weight, in treatment group 2 given 0.0225 grams/ grams of weight, while control group given distilled water ad libium. Data were analyzed by one – way ANOVA test. This study found a decrease in mean of systolic blood pressure in treatment group 1 and 2 in the first and second week (post- test) after administration of celery juice, whereas in the control group tended to increase. Conclusion: there is a decrease effect of systolic blood pressure to Rattus strain Wistar with hypertension NaCl – induced given celery juice.
