Pemeliharaan Kendaraan PKP-PK di Bandar Udara Hang Nadim-Batam

Bandar Udara Hang Nadim Batam merupakan Bandar Udara Kelas Utama yang terletak di Pulau Batam, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Pergerakan pesawat udara di Bandar Udara Hang Nadim pada tahun 2012 tercatat telah mencapai 31.541 kali pergerakan, naik sebesar 10,92% dari tahun 2011 yang sebanyak 28.436 kali pergerakan. Untuk menunjang peningkatan jumlah pergerakan pesawat udara tersebut, maka dibutuhkan kesiapan operasional fasilitas Bandar udara yang memenuhi persyaratan keselamatan dan keamanan penerbangan. Berdasarkan KP 420 tahun 2011, setiap Bandar udara wajib menyediakan dan memberikan pelayanan pertolongan kecelakaan pesawat dan pemadam kebakaran (PKP-PK) sesuai dengan kategori Bandar udara untuk PKP-PK yang dipersyaratkan. Metode yang digunaka adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil observasi SOP pemeliharaan fasilitas kendaraan dan peralatan operasional yang dimiliki oleh Unit PKPPK Bandar Udara Hang Nadim-Batam pada dasarnya telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku dalam KP 420 tahun 2011. Kendala yang dihadapi Unit PKP-PK Bandar Udara Hang Nadim-Batam adalah umur kendaraan dan peralatan operasional PKP-PK yang rata-rata melebihi 20 tahun dan lamanya proses pengajuan pengadaan kendaraan dan peralatan operasional yang baru. Untuk mengatasi hal itu pemeliharaan preventif telah rutin dilakukan guna menjaga agar kendaraan tetap dapat diandalkan dalam operasional PKP-PK. [Maintenance of Fire Fighting Vehicle in Hang Nadim Airport Batam] The Hang Nadim Airport is one of airport hub that located in Batam Island of Riau Islands Province. The aircraft movement in this airport was recorded for 10.92% growth from 28,436 movements in 2011 to 31.541 movements in 2012. In order to support the aircraft movement growth, the readiness of airport operational facilities that comply to safety and security requirements is needed. With regard to KP 420 Year 2011, each airport have the obligation to provide rescue and fire fighting service in accordance to the category of the airport. In addition, the rescue and fire fighting service must fulfill the operational and technical requirements. Descriptive qualitative analysis method is used to determine the conformity of rescue and fire fighting operational vehicle of Hand Nadim Airport to the assigned regulation. The results indicate that the regulation are applied accordingly. However, the rescue and fire fighting unit in this airport facing certain hindrance where the average age of vehicle and equipment is more than 20 years and the procurement of new vehicle and equipment can not be processed quickly. In order to minimize the occurrence of any problems related to the aging vehicle and equipment, preventive measures have been taken to regularly maintain the realibility of those rescue and fire fighting vehicle and equipment

Ah, ahora vas a estudiar a los traidores : Reflexiones sobre las categorías identitarias operantes en torno a la práctica de la natación master

Esta ponencia se presenta como un avance de una investigación en curso sobre los modos de sociabilidad de las clases medias en la ciudad de La Plata a partir de un estudio de sus prácticas deportivas. Específicamente, la investigación aborda la práctica de la "natación master" a partir del trabajo de campo etnográfico llevado a cabo en distintos clubes de la ciudad. Aquí nos interesa indagar en torno a ciertas categorías identitarias que los actores ponen en juego en sus representaciones sobre la práctica de la natación master. A partir del análisis de algunos materiales de campo, se buscará reflexionar acerca de los múltiples sentidos nativos que operan en torno a "los master" y la manera en que los actores se identifican colectivamente a partir de las interacciones que tienen lugar alrededor de esta práctica deportiva. A Jury of One: Opinion Formation, Conformity, and Dissent on Juries

Approximately 6 percent of criminal juries hang. But, how many dissenters carry the jury, hang the jury, or conform to the majority’s wishes? This article examines the formation of individual verdict preferences, the impact of deliberation, and the role of the dissenter using data from nearly 3,500 jurors who decided felony cases. Jurors were asked: “If it were entirely up to you as a one-person jury, what would your verdict have been in this case?” Over one-third of jurors, privately, would have voted against their jury’s decision. Analyses identify the characteristics of jurors who dissent, and distinguish dissenters who hang the jury from dissenters who acquiesce. Deliberation procedures, juror role expectations, their evidentiary views, and their sense of fairness affected the likelihood of dissent. Contrary to previous research, deliberations play a vital role in generating juror consensus and shed new light on the debate over the requirement that juries be unanimous in their verdict

On Monotone Sequences of Directed Flips, Triangulations of Polyhedra, and Structural Properties of a Directed Flip Graph

This paper studied the geometric and combinatorial aspects of the classical Lawson's flip algorithm in 1972. Let A be a finite set of points in R2, omega be a height function which lifts the vertices of A into R3. Every flip in triangulations of A can be associated with a direction. We first established a relatively obvious relation between monotone sequences of directed flips between triangulations of A and triangulations of the lifted point set of A in R3. We then studied the structural properties of a directed flip graph (a poset) on the set of all triangulations of A. We proved several general properties of this poset which clearly explain when Lawson's algorithm works and why it may fail in general. We further characterised the triangulations which cause failure of Lawson's algorithm, and showed that they must contain redundant interior vertices which are not removable by directed flips. A special case if this result in 3d has been shown by B.Joe in 1989. As an application, we described a simple algorithm to triangulate a special class of 3d non-convex polyhedra. We proved sufficient conditions for the termination of this algorithm and show that it runs in O(n3) time.Comment: 40 pages, 35 figure

Rigidity of compact Riemannian spin Manifolds with Boundary

In this article, we prove new rigidity results for compact Riemannian spin manifolds with boundary whose scalar curvature is bounded from below by a non-positive constant. EPSILON DICHOTOMY FOR LINEAR MODELS (Analytic, geometric and pp-adic aspects of automorphic forms and LL-functions)

This is an expanded version of my talk at the RIMS conference "Analytic, geometric and p-adic aspects of automorphic forms and L-functions". It surveys some recent work towards a conjecture of Prasad and Takloo-Bighash on epsilon dichotomy for linear models. I thank the organizers of the conference for their hospitality. Note on log-periodic description of 2008 financial crash

We analyze the financial crash in 2008 for different financial markets from the point of view of log-periodic function model. In particular, we consider Dow Jones index, DAX index and Hang Seng index.
