Investigation of Ρomputational intelligence methods in forecasting problems at stock exchanges
In this paper, the forecasting problem of share prices at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) was considered and investigated. For its solution the alternative methods of computational intelligence were suggested and investigated: LSTM networks, GRU, simple recurrent neural networks (RNN) and Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH). The experimental investigations of intelligent methods for the problem of CISCO share prices were carried out and the efficiency of forecasting methods was estimated and compared. It was established that method GMDH had the best forecasting accuracy compared to other methods in the problem of share prices forecasting
Productivity and disease resistance of primary hexaploid synthetic wheat lines and their crosses with bread wheat
Hexaploid synthetic wheat, derived from crosses between durum wheat and Aegilops tauschii, is widely accepted as an important source of useful traits for wheat breeding. During 2015 and 2016, three groups of synthetics were studied in Azerbaijan (3 sites) and Russia (1 site). Group 1 comprised CIMMYT primary synthetics derived from eastern European winter durum wheats crossed to Ae. tauschii accessions from the Caspian Sea basin. Group 2 included lines derived from CIMMYT synthetics Γ bread wheat crosses. Group 3 consisted of synthetics developed in Japan by crossing durum variety Langdon with a diverse collection of Ae. tauschii accessions. Varieties Bezostaya-1 and Seri were used as checks. Group 1 synthetics were better adapted and more productive than those in group 3, indicating that the durum parent plays an important role in the adaptation of synthetics. Compared to Bezostaya-1 synthetics produced fewer spikes per unit area, an important consideration for selecting bread wheat parents for maintenance of productivity. Synthetics had longer spikes but were not generally free-threshing. All synthetics and derivatives had 1000-kernel weights comparable to Bezostya-1 and significantly higher than Seri. All primary synthetics were resistant to leaf rust, several to stem rust, and few to stripe rust. Superior genotypes from all three groups that combine high expression of spike productivity traits and stress tolerance index were identified
Preyention and treatment of pyoinflammatori complications of the bed of adenoma by suching out the wound after transuretra resection
Benignant hyperplasia of prostatic gland is the most extensive disease among adults and old men. Epidemiologic investigation shows that this disease is observed of 50% men at the age of 60 and 90-100% at the age of 80. At present the main methods of treatment of BHP6 are surgical: trans-, extracystic adenomaectomy of prostatic gland. But nevertheless all the associated with great number of complications and with high fatal outcome. The reason of arising of pyoinflammatory complications after TURP-adenoma is associated inflammatory diseases; prostatitis, vesiculitis, adenomitis which can cause inflammatory complications in postoperative period. For effective treatment of inflammation of the bed adenoma after TURP-prostatic gland, we apply the method which enabled to introduce medicinal remedies to the focus of inflammation in the bed of adenoma for dialysis. For this purpose we carried out intraoperative intubation semioflowing passages with child subclavian catheter. And then introduce the galenical to the bed of adenoma.ΠΠΎΠ±ΡΠΎΠΊΠ°ΡΠ΅ΡΡΠ²Π΅Π½Π½Π°Ρ Π³ΠΈΠΏΠ΅ΡΠΏΠ»Π°Π·ΠΈΡ ΠΏΡΠ΅Π΄ΡΡΠ°ΡΠ΅Π»ΡΠ½ΠΎΠΉ ΠΆΠ΅Π»Π΅Π·Ρ - Π½Π°ΠΈΠ±ΠΎΠ»Π΅Π΅ ΡΠ°ΡΠΏΡΠΎΡΡΡΠ°Π½Π΅Π½Π½ΠΎΠ΅ Π·Π°Π±ΠΎΠ»Π΅Π²Π°Π½ΠΈΠ΅ Ρ ΠΌΡΠΆΡΠΈΠ½ ΠΏΠΎΠΆΠΈΠ»ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΠΈ ΡΡΠ°ΡΠΎΠ³ΠΎ Π²ΠΎΠ·ΡΠ°ΡΡΠ°. Adapting agricultural water use to climate change in a post-Soviet context: challenges and opportunities in southeast Kazakhstan
The convergence of climate change and post-Soviet
socio-economic and institutional transformations has been
underexplored so far, as have the consequences of such convergence on crop agriculture in Central Asia. This paper provides a place-based analysis of constraints and opportunities for adaptation to climate change, with a specific focus on water use, in two districts in southeast Kazakhstan. Data were collected by 2 multi-stakeholder participatory workshops, 21 semi-structured in-depth interviews, and secondary statistical data. The present-day agricultural system is characterised by
enduring Soviet-era management structures, but without state inputs that previously sustained agricultural productivity. Low margins of profitability on many privatised farms mean that attempts to implement integrated water management have produced water users associations unable to maintain and upgrade a deteriorating irrigation infrastructure. Although actors
engage in tactical adaptation measures, necessary structural adaptation of the irrigation system remains difficult without significant public or private investments. Market-based water management models have been translated ambiguously to this region, which fails to encourage efficient water use and hinders adaptation to water stress. In addition, a mutual interdependence of informal networks and formal institutions characterises both state governance and everyday life in Kazakhstan. Such interdependence simultaneously facilitates
operational and tactical adaptation, but hinders structural adaptation, as informal networks exist as a parallel system that achieves substantive outcomes while perpetuating the inertia and incapacity of the state bureaucracy. This article has relevance for critical understanding of integrated water management in practice and adaptation to climate change in post-Soviet institutional settings more broadly
Impacts of Climate Change Adaptation Options in Agriculture on Soil Functions: Examples from European Case Studies
Soil functions are fundamental for food security and for provision of ecosystem services for sustainable development. Climate change affects soil functions directly through changes in temperature, rainfall and moisture regimes, and indirectly via adapted management practices. While comprehensive evidence exists for the direct effects such as increased soil erosion risks, accelerated nutrient turnover and gas fluxes, less is known about how agricultural adaptation pathways may affect soil functions. The objective of this study was to analyze the evidence from European case studies about the possible impacts of climate change adaptations on soil threats and soil functions, and link soil functions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We analyzed 20 regional case studies across Europe using Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) framework. Our major findings were (1) adaptation pathways reflected local conditions, (2) reduced soil erosion threats and decelerated organic matter decline were anticipated in more than half of the cases, but soil compaction risks may increase in some areas, (3) the majority of adaptation pathways were expected to improve three soil functions, namely food and biomass production, carbon sequestration, and storing, filtering, transforming and recycling capacities, with little evidence about possible implications for soil biodiversity, (4) the linkage between soil functions and SDGs suggest improvements regarding SDG 2 (food security and sustainable agriculture) and SDG 13 (climate action), whereas SDG 15 (terrestrial ecosystems) requires attention. In conclusion: while direct climate change effects are expected to increase soil degradation, agricultural adaptation may counteract this process in many regions in Europe
