Nonunion following diaphyseal forearm fracture is an uncommon complication in children. Compression plate fixation with bone grafting has been the standard method to treat this complication. We report a case of hypertrophic nonunion of the ulna in a child who was treated surgically using an elastic stable intramedullary nail (ESIN) without bone grafting. Penyelesaian masalah rutin dan bukan rutin dalam pendidikan matematik

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti tahap kemahiran dan strategi penyelesaian masalah rutin dan bukan rutin bagi Tajuk Ungkapan dan Persamaan Kuadratik. Kajian secara kualitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan reka bentuk deskriptif. Seramai 219 orang pelajar Tingkatan Empat yang dipilih secara rawak mudah dari tiga buah sekolah yang terdapat di Daerah Ledang telah dipilih di dalam kajian ini sebagai responden kajian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen berbentuk set ujian dan temubual. Seramai enam orang pelajar telah dipilih secara persampelan bertujuan bagi sesi temubual. Data daripada set ujian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Microsoft Excel telah digunakan bagi menterjemahkan data yang dianalisis ke dalam bentuk frekuensi dan peratusan. Manakala data temubual dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kandungan. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa tahap kemahiran penyelesaian masalah rutin berayat pelajar berada pada tahap yang rendah manakala tahap kemahiran penyelesaian masalah rutin tidak berayat berada pada tahap yang tinggi. Tahap kemahiran masalah bukan rutin pula berada pada tahap yang rendah. Dapatan juga menunjukkan strategi penyelesaian masalah bukan rutin lebih banyak berbanding strategi penyelesaian masalah rutin. Walaubagaimanapun, pelajar mempunyai tahap yang rendah dalam penggunaan Model Polya bagi menyelesaikan masalah rutin dan bukan rutin terutamanya bagi langkah empat iaitu menyemak semula jawapan. Pelajar tidak menggunakan teknik menyemak jawapan yang tepat sekali gus memberi kesan terhadap kebarangkalian mendapatkan jawapan yang tepat. Keseluruhannya, penekanan kepada penyelesaian masalah bukan rutin perlulah diberi perhatian di dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya di dalam subjek matematik. Guru-guru perlulah mahir dalam menyediakan dan mengajar pengajaran yang melibatkan masalah bukan rutin bagi menjana pemikiran aras tinggi pelajar

Characteristic of mobile device and factors of develop mobile application in education

Widespread ownership of mobile phone and tablet had created a new trend in education named Mobile Learning (M-Learning). Due to the functionality of mobile phone and tablet, mobile device can link several societies together and the learning environment is no longer restricted in the classroom with the help of technology. Thus, this study discusses the issue of implementation mobile device and mobile learning in education. The issues that discussed in this study are elicited from several article reviews based on the thematic analysis. There are two factor that discussed which are usability and technical for mobile. These issues are important to consider as the factor to develop a mobile application in education for teaching and learning purpose. Online Booking Services Assisted by Technology to Improve Customer Loyalty in Jordanian Five-Star Hotels

Purpose: This study's goal was to examine how customer satisfaction at Jordanian five-star hotels served as a mediator between the effects of website quality and e-trust on customer loyalty.   Design/methodology/approach: Questionnaires were the primary method used in the study for gathering data. The survey was created using data from earlier research and given to visitors staying at several five-star hotels in Amman, the country's capital. A convenience sample of 401 people received questionnaires from the researchers. The valid data was examined using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and SPSS V.25 (AMOS V.20).   Findings: The study found a favorable relationship between website quality and customer loyalty as well as a positive correlation between e-trust and consumer satisfaction. Additionally, there is a direct correlation between customer satisfaction and loyalty.   Research implications: Hotels should take steps to gain the public's trust if they want their websites to be regularly preferred by visitors. The website should also show a relationship between its target audience and the information and images about the hotel by consistently updating both. It has been demonstrated that users of online hotel booking websites exhibit higher levels of trust in websites. When a customer sees what to expect when staying at the hotel, their sense of risk reduces.   Originality/value: In order to research the marketing function of hotel services, which today heavily rely on online hotel reservations, this study is a ground-breaking endeavor to improve the worldwide tourism industry. The results should spur Jordanian hotels to research the factors that influence customer loyalty for online reservations

A social media services analysis

The growing adoption of social media services such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter have created opportunities for information dissemination practise that has not existed before. This practice improves situational awareness and eases dissemination of information. However, the major challenge is to efficiently extract relevant information from the large volumes of noises. It makes the social data analysis task is extremely labour intensive and time-consuming. To overcome these challenges, we propose a service-based approach to illustrate and analyse social media services. First, we assign social media as a service, called social media service. We also identify its functional and non- functional features. Secondly, we plan experiments on real- world datasets for a variety of topics. We analytically evaluate the functional and non-functional features of social media services. The analysis has depicted that classifying functional features and identifying non-functional features such as relatedness, preferences, and engagement of social media services is important regarding analysing social sensors data. This work demonstrates the competence of social media services regarding the Social Media Service- Based Analysis Model. The identified functional and non- functional features in this work help data analyst to understand and comprehend the nature of social media services particularly in the subject of Syria war, dengue outbreak and natural disaster. Furthermore, we have provided future research issues from where our work has ended

E-WAQF based CP scorecard for sustainability: Firm & stakeholder perception

Purpose - Companies are currently paying increasing attention to sustainability due to greater expectations for corporations to be invested in the local community and environment instead of being solely concerned with profits. It has been our national agenda when the government itself, through the strategy paper issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia titled “Value-Based Intermediation (VBI): Strengthening the Roles and Impact of Islamic Finance in July 2017”, has proposing four (4) strategies, in which part of it has highlighted on the “effective and constructive collaboration with wider stakeholders, including those with no direct business relationships such as NGOs, societies and government”. Corporate Philanthropy (CP) was intended as a measure to execute this strategy, by displaying a company’s dedication to enhancing societal welfare through sharing corporate resources and applying discretionary business operations. However, existing research and preliminary surveys among stakeholders reveal that corporations are still creating unsustainable impact due to the habit of executing CP on a project-to-project basis (short-term).As such, a comprehensive e-scorecard is designed for a corporation, to strategically plan, implement and assess the performance of their CP activities.This e-scorecard is distributed as part of a pilot study to ascertain how well the e-scorecard system is embraced and utilized, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) through the evaluation on user’s perceived usefulness as well perceived ease-of-use toward e-scorecard . This research is beneficial to understand the needs of user towards the product in order to ensure a strategic collaborative is built between firm and stakeholder to solve socio-economic well being issues for sustainability

Septic hip dislocation with a preserved femoral head: successful outcome following open reduction

Septic arthritis of the hip in children represents a serious disorder with unfavourable long-term sequelae. In neonates, a poor hip outcome is expected especially if the treatment was delayed. Late sequelae can lead to structural joint damage and instability, causing deformity and dislocations which ultimately may result in limb length discrepancy, early degenerative changes and limited range of motion. Surgery at the appropriate time can improve the hip condition and functional outcome. Previous classifications of post septic hip sequelae are useful guides for treatment, but did not discuss one particular group of patient. This group-septic hip dislocation with a preserved femoral head, has recently been described as a distinct entity. This report highlights an 11-year follow-up of a 2-year-old child who had a successful outcome following open reduction and varus derotation osteotomy for a septic hip dislocation with a preserved femoral head
