The rapid development of the times and sophisticated technology create a limitless space that ultimately leads to a variety of positive and negative impacts, the positive impact is very easy to get information, while the negative side is a lot of information that can not be answered so that a lot of lies spread. This type of research is library research, namely research whose main object is books or other sources of literature. That is, data are sought and found through literature reviews from books that are relevant to the discussion. Educational institutions have a great responsibility in shaping the ethics and personality of their students. The Qur'an as a source of scientific excavation has offered concepts to humans, especially student education through learning materials for Islamic religious education. The results build on formulations on how to build personalities for honest students and avoid the lies of Islamic educational institutions. Keywords: Education, Hoax News, Qur'a

Early Detection of Suspected Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in Community-Dwellings in West Java Indonesia

    Get PDF
Background: Prevalence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has been known in almost all countries around the world.  Contrary to this, in Indonesia, neither a national epidemiologic study on SLE nor any direct study on SLE in the general population has been conducted. Early detection of SLE is needed as a first step to determine prevalence of SLE in Indonesia as well as to prevent further complications. This study aimed to obtain the prevalence of suspected SLE in community-dwellings.Methods: This study was conducted in the period September to November 2015 and used the descriptive cross-sectional method. The respondents were people who were at least 18 years old and lived in selected blocks in three different villages in Jatinangor, West Java. Data were obtained from secondary sources of a previous SLE screening study that was incorporated in a study on “Epidemiology of hypertension and albuminuria in Jatinangor” in 2014, using the multistage sampling method. Suspected SLE was based on the Liang screening questionnaire. The collected data were presented in tables. Results: There were 72 respondents (8%) suspected to have SLE. Most of the cases were female (Odds ratio:1.47) and 51–60 years old.  The most clinical manifestation was painful swollen joints >3 months. Conclusions: The existence of suspected SLE cases in Jatinangor’s population, as an example of Indonesian population should be a concern so that examinations could be carried out to make sure that  respondents with SLE can be provided  prompt interventions  to prevent further complications.

Second- harmonic generation improved of hybrid nanostructures

We provide the synthesis and characterization of semiconductor nanowire attached with metallic nanoparticles. The wires consist of zinc sulfide (ZnS) attached with gold nanoparticles (Au NPs). The nonlinear optical properties of the semiconductor nanowires are combined with the plasmonic of metallic nanoparticles (Au NPs) and offer an improved optical signal in the near infrared spectral range. The plasmonic of a metallic (Au NPs) offers the effect of locally improving the electric field of the incident light on the nanowire and consequently inducing a much stronger second harmonic generation (SHG) signal. By comparing SHG signals measured from bare ZnS NWs  and  ZnS –Au hybrid nanostructures we obtain  6 time improvement of the SHG intensity It is demonstrated that is ZnS NWs is an ideal candidate for nanolasers, nanoprobes especially for the ultraviolet region, nonlinear optical microscopy and nanophotonic. Keywords: plasmonic nanostructures. Chemical synthesis, ZnS NWs,  Second - Harmonic generation (SHG)

Analisis dan Perencanaan Pengembangan Sistem Distribusi Air Terhadap Pertumbuhan Proyek Pembangunan Apartemen Di Zona 2 PDAM Kota Surabaya

    Get PDF

    Neural Contractive Dynamical Systems

Stability guarantees are crucial when ensuring a fully autonomous robot does not take undesirable or potentially harmful actions. Unfortunately, global stability guarantees are hard to provide in dynamical systems learned from data, especially when the learned dynamics are governed by neural networks. We propose a novel methodology to learn neural contractive dynamical systems, where our neural architecture ensures contraction, and hence, global stability. To efficiently scale the method to high-dimensional dynamical systems, we develop a variant of the variational autoencoder that learns dynamics in a low-dimensional latent representation space while retaining contractive stability after decoding. We further extend our approach to learning contractive systems on the Lie group of rotations to account for full-pose end-effector dynamic motions. The result is the first highly flexible learning architecture that provides contractive stability guarantees with capability to perform obstacle avoidance. Empirically, we demonstrate that our approach encodes the desired dynamics more accurately than the current state-of-the-art, which provides less strong stability guarantees

Non-growers’ perspectives on home gardening: Exploring for future attraction

    Get PDF
To achieve urban sustainability, growing vegetables at home is a practical necessity. Understanding why people are hesitant to participate in urban vegetable growing is vital to reviving this practice. An in-person survey was conducted among 244 people who do not garden at home in Sri Lanka’s Colombo district to determine their perception of not gardening. Analysis was performed with exploratory factor analysis followed by binary logistic regression. According to the study, unrealized benefits and knowledge and experience challenges cause demotivation. The respondents had favorable attitudes toward urban agriculture; their interests appear to be aligned with urban agriculture and motivation should be able to entice them. The most viable way to attract them and ensure that they reap the economic and social benefits of urban home gardening appears to be to provide knowledge and hands-on experience. Younger people, private sector workers, and single homeowners are specific population segments that can be targeted for this motivation effort. The analysis further revealed that agriculture demonstrations in an urban setting inspire non-growers to practice urban agriculture
