    : Background In the interpersonal communication, confidence is needed because the recognition and appreciation of communication we will have if we have the confidence..Purpose to know The Relationship Between Interpersonal Communication with Confidence for Student class 2013 at Nursing Department, Sam Ratulangi University Manado. Design is observational analytic with approach cross sectional. Population entire student class of 2013 at Nursing Department, Sam Ratulangi University, with number 109 students and Sample use purposive sampling, with number 57 students. The data collected were processed using SPSS computer assistance (Statistical Programme For Social Science) version 20 using the chi-square test at 95% significance level (á 0.05).Result obtained value of P =0,152 more than á = 0,05 (p 0,05).Conclusion there is not relationship between interpersonal communication with confidence for student class 2013 at Nursing Department, Sam Ratulangi University Manado. Suggestion consideration for the department as teaching materials for courses Psychiatric Nursing, and the student is expected to improve the knowledge about confidence and interpersonal communication

    The aim of this study is to develop policies of organization culture (OC). The policies analysis cover management process and its changing in Bank Indonesia, including direction and substance of OC, developing ideal models, methods, dynamic change and its management. Awareness about the importance of OC in improving the performance of the organization had been recognized by management of Bank Indonesia in the surface, but when examined the dynamics of the changes, the implementation seem fluctuated. Using a system approach, this research employ three main tools: Analytical Network Process (ANP), Strategic Assumption Surfacing and Testing (SAST), and Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The knowledge base data are compiled using combination of several methods: survey, focus group discussion (FGD), statistics of secondary data, and structured in depth interviews. This research has found the new values which should be adopted for BI are integrity professional, visionary, competence, and transparent. Besides, it also delevelop models to implement a new organization culture management. In terms of organization culture change program, this research uncovers several important phenomena such as: the central role of the board of governor, the function of performance management and assessment, and the role of director in every unit

    Inflammasome signaling proteins as biomarkers of COVID-19

    IntroductionOne of the main characteristics of COVID-19 is an exacerbated inflammatory response that results in cardiometabolic complications and dysfunction in the nervous system. Moreover, these complications may extend beyond the period of active SARS-CoV2 infection and even extend over a year. Thus, it is important to better understand the contribution of the inflammatory responses in COVID-19 patients, not just in the acute phase but also after the infection has subsided.MethodsWe measured the protein levels of inflammasome signaling proteins using Simple Plex microfluidics technology in patients with an active SARS-CoV2 infection and in recovered patients to determine their potential use as biomarkers of COVID-19. We carried out statistical analyses to identify which proteins were increased in COVID-19 patients with active infection and in recovered patients. The receiver operating characteristics (ROC) were calculated for each analyte to determine their potential fit as biomarkers.ResultsThe inflammasome proteins caspase-1, apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain (ASC), interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 were elevated in the plasma of patients with active infection and remained elevated after the infection was resolved for approximately 2 months after. Levels of caspase-1 and ASC continued to increase long after patients had recovered from the infection. Furthermore, when measuring biomarkers of inflammation during active infection, analyses with area under the curve (AUC) values above 0.75 indicated that caspase-1, ASC, IL-1β and IL-18 are reliable biomarkers of the inflammatory response during active COVID-19 infection. Moreover, when measuring biomarkers of inflammation after recovery from active infection, caspase-1 and ASC presented AUC values above 0.9.DiscussionThese findings indicate that inflammasome signaling proteins can be used to reliably monitor the inflammatory innate immune response in COVID-19 patients

    Individual differences in cognitive decline during normal aging and Alzheimer\u27s disease (AD) are common, but the molecular mechanisms underlying these distinct outcomes are not fully understood. We utilized a combination of genetic, molecular, and behavioral data from a mouse population designed to model human variation in cognitive outcomes to search for the molecular mechanisms behind this population-wide variation. Specifically, we used a systems genetics approach to relate gene expression to cognitive outcomes during AD and normal aging. Statistical causal-inference Bayesian modeling was used to model systematic genetic perturbations matched with cognitive data that identified astrocyte and microglia molecular networks as drivers of cognitive resilience to AD.     Properties of electrons scattered on a strong plane electromagnetic wave with a linear polarization: classical treatment

    The relations among the components of the exit momenta of ultrarelativistic electrons scattered on a strong electromagnetic wave of a low (optical) frequency and linear polarization are established using the exact solutions to the equations of motion with radiation reaction included (the Landau-Lifshitz equation). It is found that the momentum components of the electrons traversed the electromagnetic wave depend weakly on the initial values of the momenta. These electrons are mostly scattered at the small angles to the direction of propagation of the electromagnetic wave. The maximum Lorentz factor of the electrons crossed the electromagnetic wave is proportional to the work done by the electromagnetic field and is independent of the initial momenta. The momentum component parallel to the electric field strength vector of the electromagnetic wave is determined only by the diameter of the laser beam measured in the units of the classical electron radius. As for the reflected electrons, they for the most part lose the energy, but remain relativistic.     MAGE-A cancer/testis antigens inhibit MDM2 ubiquitylation function and promote increased levels of MDM4

    Melanoma antigen A (MAGE-A) proteins comprise a structurally and biochemically similar sub-family of Cancer/Testis antigens that are expressed in many cancer types and are thought to contribute actively to malignancy. MAGE-A proteins are established regulators of certain cancer-associated transcription factors, including p53, and are activators of several RING finger-dependent ubiquitin E3 ligases. Here, we show that MAGE-A2 associates with MDM2, a ubiquitin E3 ligase that mediates ubiquitylation of more than 20 substrates including mainly p53, MDM2 itself, and MDM4, a potent p53 inhibitor and MDM2 partner that is structurally related to MDM2. We find that MAGE-A2 interacts with MDM2 via the N-terminal p53-binding pocket and the RING finger domain of MDM2 that is required for homo/hetero-dimerization and for E2 ligase interaction. Consistent with these data, we show that MAGE-A2 is a potent inhibitor of the E3 ubiquitin ligase activity of MDM2, yet it does not have any significant effect on p53 turnover mediated by MDM2. Strikingly, however, increased MAGE-A2 expression leads to reduced ubiquitylation and increased levels of MDM4. Similarly, silencing of endogenous MAGE-A expression diminishes MDM4 levels in a manner that can be rescued by the proteasomal inhibitor, bortezomid, and permits increased MDM2/MDM4 association. These data suggest that MAGE-A proteins can: (i) uncouple the ubiquitin ligase and degradation functions of MDM2; (ii) act as potent inhibitors of E3 ligase function; and (iii) regulate the turnover of MDM4. We also find an association between the presence of MAGE-A and increased MDM4 levels in primary breast cancer, suggesting that MAGE-A-dependent control of MDM4 levels has relevance to cancer clinically
