    東京農業大学農学部にて開講されている,農業ビジネスデザインの受講学生を対象に,学生が学外農業研修で感じた「良かった点」の特徴を明らかにすることを目的として,自由記述によるアンケートを実施した。データ化した自由記述回答にテキストマイニングを施し,抽出した名詞の出現件数のデータに数量化Ⅲ類解析を施した。その結果,研修を主催する個人農家・企業,自治体,大学,の3属性によって,良かった点の内容が異なる1軸を含む3つの有効軸が算出された。本研究により,研修を受けた学生が現地に対して感じた良かった点は,‘人’および‘農家’の要素によって説明できると考えられた。これらの要素は同時に,農業志向の高い若者が農業研修に対して期待するものとして解釈することができると考えられ,今後,研修先との情報共有,意思疎通および研修内容の改善を通して,研修生と受け入れ先とのマッチングに役立てるなど,日本農業の担い手育成のためのPDCAサイクル化に大いに役立つと考えられた。A questionnaire based on free description was conducted with the aim of clarifying the features of “positive characteristics of the agricultural training course” that students felt through participating in agricultural training held outside the campus as part of “Studies for agricultural career design”, held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture. The obtained responses were typed up and analyzed by text-mining method and multivariate analysis of the quantification theory type 3 was demonstrated on converted category (1/0) data based on the appearance of extracted nouns in answerers’ responses. As results, 3 axes including 1 axis where the mean value of the score according to the classification of the promoter mediating agricultural training courses significantly differed, were calculated. According to these results, the “positive characteristics of the agricultural training courses” that students felt, were might be summarized as the experience of “person” and “farmer”. It was also thought that these components could be interpreted as what expected of an agricultural experience program by the agriculture-minded young. In conclusion, findings in this study could be utilized as information sharing and communication tools in the training place for improvements in training contents, and would be useful for PDCA cycling, such as helping the match between students and training places, in developing agricultural human resources

    JASMINE: Near-infrared astrometry and time-series photometry science

    The Japan Astrometry Satellite Mission for INfrared Exploration (JASMINE) is a planned M-class science space mission by the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. JASMINE has two main science goals. One is Galactic archaeology with a Galactic Center survey, which aims to reveal the Milky Way’s central core structure and formation history from Gaia-level (∼25 μ{\mu} as) astrometry in the near-infrared (NIR) Hw band (1.0–1.6 μ{\mu} m). The other is an exoplanet survey, which aims to discover transiting Earth-like exoplanets in the habitable zone from NIR time-series photometry of M dwarfs when the Galactic Center is not accessible. We introduce the mission, review many science objectives, and present the instrument concept. JASMINE will be the first dedicated NIR astrometry space mission and provide precise astrometric information on the stars in the Galactic Center, taking advantage of the significantly lower extinction in the NIR. The precise astrometry is obtained by taking many short-exposure images. Hence, the JASMINE Galactic Center survey data will be valuable for studies of exoplanet transits, asteroseismology, variable stars, and microlensing studies, including discovery of (intermediate-mass) black holes. We highlight a swath of such potential science, and also describe synergies with other missions

    Adipose-derived stem cells versus bone marrow-derived stem cells for vocal fold regeneration.

    [Objectives/Hypothesis]Vocal fold scarring presents therapeutic challenges. Recently, cell therapy with mesenchymal stromal cells has become a promising approach. The aim of this study was to compare the therapeutic potential of adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) with bone marrow-derived stem cells (BMSC) for vocal fold regeneration. [Study Design]Prospective animal experiments with controls. [Methods]The vocal folds of Sprague-Dawley rats were unilaterally injured. Two months after injury, rats were treated with a local injection of ASC (ASC group), BMSC (BMSC group), or saline (sham-treated group). The GFP-labeled ASC and BMSC were extracted from CAG-EGFP rats. Larynges were harvested for histological and immunohistochemical examinations 1 and 3 months posttransplantation and for quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) 1 month posttransplantation. [Results] After 1 month, no surviving cells from the transplant were detected. Histological examination showed significantly increased hyaluronic acid (HA) and decreased dense collagen deposition in both ASC and BMSC groups compared to shams 1 and 3 months after treatment. Real-time PCR revealed that hyaluronan synthase 1 (Has1) and Has2 were upregulated in only the ASC group compared with the sham-treated group. Fibroblast growth factor 2 (basic) (Fgf2), hepatocyte growth factor (Hgf) and Has3 were upregulated in both cell transplantation groups. ASC seemed to upregulate Hgf more than did BMSC. [Conclusions]The regenerative effects of ASC and BMSC transplantation were found to be similar for the restoration. It is suggested that ASC might have more potential because of better recovery of HA, a superior antifibrotic effect, and the upregulation of Hgf

    <症例>肝原発性悪性線維組織球腫の1例

    Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a rare disease. We describe a 68-year-old man admitted to the hospital because of malaise. On admission, hematologic and serum chemical examinations showed no abnormalities. A tumor measuring 6.0×6.0×5.5 cm was found in segment S6 of the right lobe of the liver. A computed tomographic scan of the abdomen revealed a mass surrounded by a capsule-like region with a nonuniform shadow at its margin. The mass contained a nonuniform low density area. A magnetic resonance imaging scan showed low intensity on T1-weighted images and high intensity on T2-weighted images. An angiograrn of the abdomen revealed a tumor with a darkly stained margin during the venous phase. Partial resection of the liver, including S6 and part of S7, was performed. On histopathological examination, this case was characterized by a storiform pattern. The inside of the tumor showed a storiform-pleomorphic pattern with inflammatory cell infiltration and partial mucinous degeneration. On immunohistochemical studies, the tumor cells stained positively for CD6. The diagnosis was MFH.肝原発の悪性線維性組織球(MFH)はまれな疾患である. 患者は68歳の男性. 主訴は倦怠感. 入院時検査では血液検査で異常を認めなかった. 腫瘍は肝右葉 S6 にあり大きさは 6.0×6.0×5.5cm 大であった. 腹部CT検査で辺縁部は不均一な造影効果を伴う被膜状のものを認め, 内部は不均一な low density area であった. MRI検査ではT1強調画像で low intensity, T2 強調画像で high intensity として描出された. 腹部血管造影は, 辺縁が静脈相で濃染される腫瘍像を認めた. S6 と S7 の一部を含む肝部分切除を施行した. 病理組織学的検査は, 線維芽細胞様細胞と組織球様細胞とからなる特徴的な storiform pattern (花むしろ模様)が見られ, 腫瘍内には炎症性細胞浸潤や一部粘液変性を伴う storiform pleomorphic type (花むしろ多形型)であった. 免疫組織化学的検査は CD68 に陽性を示したことより MFH と診断した

    Septic shock-related acute esophageal necrosis and stenosis : three cases of acquired esophageal stenosis presenting a similar clinical course

    We present a case of acute esophageal necrosis (AEN) and two acquired esophageal stenosis cases which showed a similar clinical course after an episode of septic shock. Extensive stenosis of the distal esophagus developed in all cases, which were refractory to dilation therapy and required surgical intervention. The etiology of the latter two cases was deduced from the stenosis after septic shock-induced AEN. Since the diagnosis of AEN is based on its characteristic endoscopic findings which can only be confirmed at the onset of the disease, we therefore called these cases "septic shock-related esophageal stenosis" or abbreviated to "septic esophageal stenosis". Further study of similar cases is required for understanding the etiology and management of AEN and the relevant disorder which may cause esophageal stenosis

    Bis(amido)argentate (TMP)2Ag(CN)Li2 (3, TMP-Ag-ate; TMP = 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidido) was designed as a tool for chemoselective aromatic functionalization via unprecedented directed ortho argentation (DoAg). X-Ray crystallographic analysis showed that 3 takes a structure analogous to that of the corresponding Lipshutz cuprate. DoAg with this TMP-Ag-ate afforded multifunctional aromatics in high yields in processes that exhibited high chemoselectivity and compatibility with a wide range of functional groups. These included organometallics- and transition metal-susceptible substituents such as methyl ester, aldehyde, vinyl, iodo, (trifluoromethanesulfonyl)oxy and nitro groups. The arylargentates displayed good reactivity with various electrophiles. Chalcogen (S, Se, and Te) installation and azo coupling reactions also proceeded efficiently
