Particles and strings in a (2+1)-D integrable quantum model

We give a review of some recent work on generalization of the Bethe ansatz in the case of 2+12+1-dimensional models of quantum field theory. As such a model, we consider one associated with the tetrahedron equation, i.e. the 2+12+1-dimensional generalization of the famous Yang--Baxter equation. We construct some eigenstates of the transfer matrix of that model. There arise, together with states composed of point-like particles analogous to those in the usual 1+11+1-dimensional Bethe ansatz, new string-like states and string-particle hybrids

Emptiness Formation Probability and Quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov Equation

We consider the one-dimensional XXX spin 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet at zero temperature and zero magnetic field. We are interested in a probability of formation of a ferromagnetic string in the antiferromagnetic ground-state. We call it emptiness formation probability [EFP]. We suggest a new technique for computation of EFP in the inhomogeneous case. It is based on quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation. We evalauted EFP for strings of the length six in the inhomogeneous case. The homogeneous limit confirms our hypothesis about the relation of quantum correlations to number theory. We also make a conjecture about a general structure of EFP for arbitrary lenght of the string \.Comment: LATEX file, 23 pages, 21 reference

Some exact results for the three-layer Zamolodchikov model

    Get PDF
In this paper we continue the study of the three-layer Zamolodchikov model started in our previous works. We analyse numerically the solutions to the Bethe ansatz equations. We consider two regimes I and II which differ by the signs of the spherical sides (a1,a2,a3)->(-a1,-a2,-a3). We accept the two-line hypothesis for the regime I and the one-line hypothesis for the regime II. In the thermodynamic limit we derive integral equations for distribution densities and solve them exactly. We calculate the partition function for the three-layer Zamolodchikov model and check a compatibility of this result with the functional relations. We also do some numerical checkings of our results.Comment: LaTeX, 27 pages, 9 figure

Third Neighbor Correlators of Spin-1/2 Heisenberg Antiferromagnet

We exactly evaluate the third neighbor correlator and all the possible non-zero correlators <S^{alpha}_j S^{beta}_{j+1} S^{gamma}_{j+2} S^{delta}_{j+3}> of the spin-1/2 Heisenberg XXXXXX antiferromagnet in the ground state without magnetic field. All the correlators are expressed in terms of certain combinations of logarithm ln2, the Riemann zeta function zeta(3), zeta(5) with rational coefficients. The results accurately coincide with the numerical ones obtained by the density-matrix renormalization group method and the numerical diagonalization.Comment: 4 page

On exact solution of a classical 3D integrable model

We investigate some classical evolution model in the discrete 2+1 space-time. A map, giving an one-step time evolution, may be derived as the compatibility condition for some systems of linear equations for a set of auxiliary linear variables. Dynamical variables for the evolution model are the coefficients of these systems of linear equations. Determinant of any system of linear equations is a polynomial of two numerical quasimomenta of the auxiliary linear variables. For one, this determinant is the generating functions of all integrals of motion for the evolution, and on the other hand it defines a high genus algebraic curve. The dependence of the dynamical variables on the space-time point (exact solution) may be expressed in terms of theta functions on the jacobian of this curve. This is the main result of our paper

Charged Higgs Observability Through Associated Production With W at a Muon Collider

The observability of a charged Higgs boson produced in association with a W boson at future muon colliders is studied. The analysis is performed within the MSSM framework. The charged Higgs is assumed to decay to tb and a fully hadronic final state is analyzed, i.e., mu+mu- \rightarrow H\pmW\mp \rightarrow tbW \rightarrow WbbW \rightarrow jjjjbb. The main background is tt production in fully hadronic final state which is an irreducible background with very similar kinematic features. It is shown that although the discovery potential is almost the same for a charged Higgs mass in the range 200 GeV < mH\pm < 400 GeV, the signal significance is about 1sigma for tanbeta = 50 at integrated luminosity of 50 fb-1. The signal rate is well above that at e+e- linear colliders with the same center of mass energy and enough data (O(1 ab-1)) will provide the same discovery potential for all heavy charged Higgs masses up to mH\pm \sim 400 GeV, however, the muon collider cannot add anything to the LHC findings.Comment: 18 pages, 11 figure

CP--violating Chargino Contributions to the Higgs Coupling to Photon Pairs in the Decoupling Regime of Higgs Sector

In most supersymmetric theories, charginos χ~1,2±\tilde{\chi}^\pm_{1,2} belong to the class of the lightest supersymmetric particles and the couplings of Higgs bosons to charginos are in general complex so that the CP--violating chargino contributions to the loop--induced coupling of the lightest Higgs boson to photon pairs can be sizable even in the decoupling limit of large pseudoscalar mass mAm_A with only the lightest Higgs boson kinematically accessible at future high energy colliders. We introduce a specific benchmark scenario of CP violation consistent with the electric dipole moment constraints and with a commonly accepted baryogenesis mechanism in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model. Based on the benchmark scenario of CP violation, we demonstrate that the fusion of the lightest Higgs boson in linearly polarized photon--photon collisions can allow us to confirm the existence of the CP--violating chargino contributions {\it even in the decoupling regime of the Higgs sector} for nearly degenerate SU(2) gaugino and higgsino mass parameters of about the electroweak scale.Comment: 1+13 pages, 3 eps figure

    Super AutoDipole

The publicly available package for an automated dipole subtraction, AutoDipole, is extended to include the SUSY dipoles in the MSSM. All fields in the SM and the MSSM are available. The code is checked against the analytical expressions for a simple process. The extended package makes it possible to compute the QCD NLO corrections to SUSY multi-parton processes like the stop pair production plus jets at the LHC.Comment: 16 pages, 1 figure, v2: a few typos to match the published version in Eur. Yang-Mills Correlation Functions from Integrable Spin Chains

The relation between the dilatation operator of N=4 Yang-Mills theory and integrable spin chains makes it possible to compute the one-loop anomalous dimensions of all operators in the theory. In this paper we show how to apply the technology of integrable spin chains to the calculation of Yang-Mills correlation functions by expressing them in terms of matrix elements of spin operators on the corresponding spin chain. We illustrate this method with several examples in the SU(2) sector described by the XXX_1/2 chain.Comment: 27 pages, 3 figures, harvma
