A Trade-off Analysis of Energy Detectors and Partitioned Search for Primary Detection
Cognitive radios aim to coexist in the unused spectrum bands which are licensed to primary users without harming the primary transmission/reception. For a cognitive radio, it is important to detect the band in which the primary is operating as fast as possible and with high reliability in order to adapt its transmission. In this work, we propose P-partitioning method in combination with energy detectors for the search of the band that the primary user is operating. In the P-partitioning method, the spectrum bands are categorized into P groups and the group that the primary band belongs to is detected in a recursive fashion. The energy detector operates on each group and the test statistics is the total energy received in the bands belonging to the group. The proposed search technique has detection time PlogP(N), where N is the number of bands in the spectrum. When P = N, the proposed scheme is equivalent to linear search with detection time N. We study the performance of the proposed scheme for a single non-cooperative radio and also for multiple cooperating radios. For a single cognitive radio, we provide an upper bound on the probability of correct detection which presents two different regimes of operation. In the low SNR regime, although it is counter-intuitive the partitioning improves the probability of detection. This is due an averaging effect when the signal energy in different bands are accumulated to obtain the energy contribution from a group. In the high SNR regime, performance degrades with partitioning. In addition, we observe that user cooperation improves the performance in the high SNR regimes
Fixed Mobile Convergence a IMS Approach
The paper is aimed at studying and analyzing the network performance parameters of SIP protocol. SIP is content based protocol, in which various message are required to be transacted so that a session could be created, terminated or modified. Therefore, the objective is to analyze various SIP activities and the delay incurred in session start-up under various network conditions. Proper functioning of IMS platform is dependent on optimum performance of several protocols specified in the standard. Nearly all of the protocols used in IMS are standardized by the IETF. Some of the major protocols are SIP, SDP- signaling protocol, DIAMETERimprovised version of RADIUS protocol,COPS- Common Open Policy Service, H.248- descendant of MEGACo, RTP/RTCPReal Time Protocol/Real Time Control Protocol, etc. Out of all these, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is the prominent protocol used to create, terminate and modify the sessions initiated by the user. In order to improve the performance parameters, this is the area where most of the research work is centralized. Hence, to study various aspects of SIP protocol with respect to the network performance is of great interest
ANTIMIGRAINE ACTIVITY OF METHANOLIC EXTRACT OF ABROMA AUGUSTA L. IN LABORATORY ANIMALS
Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate of antimigraine activity of methanolic extract of Abroma augusta L. leaves in laboratory animals.
Methods: The antimigraine activity was evaluated against nitroglycerine (NTG, 10 mg·kg−1, i. p.) and bradykinin (BK, 10 µg, intra-arterial) induced hyperalgesia in rats. Rats were divided randomly into six groups: normal, control, standard (sumatriptan, 42 mg·kg−1, s. c.), and Abroma augusta L. (100,200 and 400 mg·kg−1, p. o.). In the nitroglycerin (NTG) induced hyperalgesia model, rats were pre-treated with standard drug sumatriptan and Abroma augusta L. for 0, 7 and 14 d and tail flick latency were recorded separately in 0-day, 7-day and 14-day pretreatment study. Brain serotonin concentration was also estimated by HPLC method at the end of the study. In bradykinin induced hyperalgesia model the number of vocalizations were recorded as a measure of hyperalgesia in rats.
Results: Abroma augusta L. showed a significant (P<0.001) elevation in the tail-flick latency (at dose 400 mg·kg−1) and body weight (at doses 100, 200, and 400 mg·kg−1) in NTG-induced hyperalgesia model in rats. Further, A. augusta L. (400 mg/kg) showed a significant (P<0.001) increase in brain serotonin concentration compared to NTG control group animal. It showed a significant (P<0.01, P<0.001) reduction in the elevated number of vocalizations at doses (200 and 400 mg·kg−1) in the bradykinin-induced hyperalgesia model in rats.
Conclusion: We concluded that the methanolic extract of Aroma augusta L. possessed an anti-migraine effect in nitroglycerine and bradykinin-induced hyperalgesia model in rats

A 3D model and assembly model of component offers user to easily understand and concreate view of component design. But during assembly making of components, user is impatient of repetitive task (i.e. assembly of same component but have different varieties) and thousands of mouse clicking (like rotation, zoom in, zoom out). Also use require the large knowledge skill of modeling software. To avoid all these problems customization of CAD software is must. In this paper automated assembly of screw conveyor is done in CATIA (CAD software) by using VBA programming language. Due to this the time required for assembly of screw conveyor is reduced up to 70-90%
EVOLUTION OF NANOTECH ASSISTED PCR DIAGNOSIS OF MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS AND ITS ASSESSMENT WITH CONVENTIONAL METHODS
Objective: This study was focused on assessment and performance of conventional and nanotech assisted methods for detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis (TB) still leftovers one of the top ten causes of death worldwide, thus this study has undertaken the use of MNP for early detection of TB.Methods: A cross-sectional studies were conducted on clinical and radiological suspected TB patients in the department of microbiology at D. Y. Patil hospital Kolhapur. All samples received in the month of August 2016 to January 2017. Total One hundred twenty-sputum samples were processed for diagnosis of TB by ZN stain, culture on L. J. Medium and real-timePCR tests.Results: In our present study, 60.83% (73) patient male and 39.17 % (47) were female patient, showing a borderline male prevalence found in our study. Eighteen percent patients were found to be in the age group (21-30 y) are mostly affected for pulmonary tuberculosis. A significant difference was seen in the percentage of differentDNA extraction methods, the fig. being conventional chloroform-phenol 66.66%, the commercial kit 80%, magnetic bead 86.66% and MNPs method 99.66% found to be significant (P<0.0001**).Conclusion: In the present study the MNP-DNA extraction techniques with NALC followed by IS6110 target amplification were found superior for diagnosis of TB. The MNP assisted extraction method showed better results in terms of quantification and sensitivity of TB PCR diagnosis, evolving nanotech assisted innovative method
