This paper rounds the core technology of intelligent conceptual design to research the modeling method of extension design in function-principlelayout-configuration. It includes the function expression, function decomposition and synthesis, function illation and decision. The computers are utilized to simulate the human dialectic thought when resolve problems in this method. The given example shows that the extension method has been applied in the field of conceptual design for mechanical products.     A Swarm-based Dynamic Evacuation Simulation Model Under the Background of Secondary Disasters

    AbstractDue to the occurrence of secondary disasters in disaster relief, a swarm-based dynamic disaster evacuation simulation model is established to settle the practical difficulties of reducing efficiency in evacuation. And much better simulation results have been achieved than static plans or disorganized autonomous escape scheme. Simulation results show that “to changing the status quo” dynamic evacuation plan is much better than “maintaining the status quo,” the static and self-evacuation plan or autonomous escape behavior for emergency evacuation, especially those with secondary disasters

    Prevalence, associated factors and outcomes of pressure injuries in adult intensive care unit patients: the DecubICUs study

Epidemiologic data is however unavailable. We aimed to provide an international picture of the extent of pressure injuries and factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries in adult ICU patients. Methods: International 1-day point-prevalence study; follow-up for outcome assessment until hospital discharge (maximum 12 weeks). Factors associated with ICU-acquired pressure injury and hospital mortality were assessed by generalised linear mixed-effects regression analysis. Results: Data from 13,254 patients in 1117 ICUs (90 countries) revealed 6747 pressure injuries; 3997 (59.2%) were ICU-acquired. Overall prevalence was 26.6% (95% confidence interval [CI] 25.9–27.3). ICU-acquired prevalence was 16.2% (95% CI 15.6–16.8). Sacrum (37%) and heels (19.5%) were most affected. Factors independently associated with ICU-acquired pressure injuries were older age, male sex, being underweight, emergency surgery, higher Simplified Acute Physiology Score II, Braden score 3 days, comorbidities (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, immunodeficiency), organ support (renal replacement, mechanical ventilation on ICU admission), and being in a low or lower-middle income-economy. Gradually increasing associations with mortality were identified for increasing severity of pressure injury: stage I (odds ratio [OR] 1.5; 95% CI 1.2–1.8), stage II (OR 1.6; 95% CI 1.4–1.9), and stage III or worse (OR 2.8; 95% CI 2.3–3.3). Conclusion: Pressure injuries are common in adult ICU patients. ICU-acquired pressure injuries are associated with mainly intrinsic factors and mortality. Optimal care standards, increased awareness, appropriate resource allocation, and further research into optimal prevention are pivotal to tackle this important patient safety threat

    Prediction and Optimization Algorithm for Intersection Point of Spatial Multi-Lines Based on Photogrammetry

    The basic theory of photogrammetry is mature and widely used in engineering. The environment in engineering is very complex, resulting in the corners or multi-line intersections being blocked and unable to be measured directly. In order to solve this problem, a prediction and optimization algorithm for intersection point of spatial multi-lines based on photogrammetry is proposed. The coordinates of points on space lines are calculated by photogrammetry algorithm. Due to the influence of image point distortion and point selection error, many lines do not strictly intersect at one point. The equations of many space lines are used to fit their initial value of intersection point. The initial intersection point is projected onto each image, and the distances between the projection point and each line on the image plane are used to weight the calculated spatial lines in combination with the information entropy. Then the intersection point coordinates are re-fitted, and the intersection point is repeatedly projected and recalculate until the error is less than the threshold value or reached the set number of iterations. Three different scenarios are selected for experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the prediction accuracy of the intersection point

    Joint Estimation of Hydraulic and Biochemical Parameters for Reactive Transport Modelling with a Modified ILUES Algorithm

    Multicomponent reactive transport modeling is a powerful tool for the comprehensive analysis of coupled hydraulic and biochemical processes. The performance of the simulation model depends on the accuracy of related model parameters whose values are usually difficult to determine from direct measurements. In this situation, estimates of these uncertain parameters can be obtained by solving inverse problems. In this study, an efficient data assimilation method, the iterative local updating ensemble smoother (ILUES), is employed for the joint estimation of hydraulic parameters, biochemical parameters and contaminant source characteristics in the sequential biodegradation process of tetrachloroethene (PCE). In the framework of the ILUES algorithm, parameter estimation is realized by updating local ensemble with the iterative ensemble smoother (IES). To better explore the parameter space, the original ILUES algorithm is modified by determining the local ensemble partly with a linear ranking selection scheme. Numerical case studies based on the sequential biodegradation of PCE are then used to evaluate the performance of the ILUES algorithm. The results show that the ILUES algorithm is able to achieve an accurate joint estimation of related model parameters in the reactive transport model
