Data was collected form a total of 210 F'Al=program member and 189 non-members in Limmu Seqa wereda. Non-members were selected from non-program kebeles. In the study both primary and secondary sources of data have been used. Questionnaire and Focus group discussions were the main tools of data collection. Descriptive statistics, econometric analysis and thematic analysis were carried out to accomplish the above-mentioned tasks. The results of the study indicated that the F'Al.-program has a positive impact on women's economic empowerment as measured by the increased participation of women in household decision-making, and improvement in living conditions of its members. Compared to the nonmembers, F'Al-rnembers have improved their household incomes, asset possession levels, and savings and credit habit. The maximum likely hood logit model revealed that being member of FAL program, asset ownership, and existence of personal saving, being head of the household and participating in community based organizations are significantly and positively related to women's control over decision making on their economic resources and opportunities. Whereas, educational status, age of respondents and household size are found to be statistically insignificant in determining women's control over decision making on their economic resources and opportunities. The policy implication of this study is that, Functional Adult literacy is a forum for empowering women to build strong groups of diligent and committed women. It should therefore be encouraged and reinforced by a favourable policy framework that will create an enabling environment in which women will contribute to the economic growth of the nation.Jimma Universit

The carrying out of activities suggested for "step 4 of the Diploma of Deepening accompaniment in scenes of violence", focused on the analysis of 5 life stories that were part of experiences of violence in different territories where there was the presence of illegal groups from the armed conflict In our country, evidencing different psychosocial affectations, managing to identify different emerging associates, therefore, to make a broader understanding of each case, circular, reflective and strategic questions are proposed, where as professionals it will allow us to have the tools and strategies to address the problem towards the victim. Through participant action research "photo voice" I facilitate the visibility of events that are part of the contexts of a community, allowing us to expose our personal appreciations and concepts, that is how each image represents violent events, pain, poverty, abandonment. It is undeniable that the armed conflict or acts of violence have left emotional and physical effects on the Colombian community. From there arises the need to promote psychosocial actions that try to direct the affected population to establish positive behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes to assume transformation processes to have a better life. It is there where the role of the psychologist takes strength and becomes an entity which can configure thoughts and behaviors that allow new life opportunities from psychosocial actions

The work takes part in the field of geocritics and literary cartography, which is a disciplinary field that host the study of space in Colombian Literature, and more precisely the relationships between the geographic spaces of the city and the fictional spaces built in literary works. Through these, poetics of the body and space are born, calling as well their symbolic decipherment. They also contribute to the understanding of the urban fabric of the territories and the ideological perspectives that the author sets in motion in such a dialogue. From this perspective, this research proposes the understanding of ways by which the space of the house is represented in the novels Páginas de vuelta and Una Casa en Bogotá, by the Colombian writer Santiago Gamboa (SG). Under this intention, the strategies by which the fictional space of the house is built are analyzed, together with the relationships that are woven with the exterior spaces. Considering aspects from the narratological perspective of Mieke Bal (1990), contributions of the Geoliterature by Aurora Pimentel (2001) and the theoretical traces built around space and literature arranged by Fernando Aínsa, Agraz and Sánchez-H (2017). This methodology will bring efforts from an hermeneutical-interpretive research, to consolidate the contributions to the literary studies of the writer SG and the consolidated analyzes in the field of literature and space
