A Novel Hierarchy of Integrable Lattices
In the framework of the reduction technique for Poisson-Nijenhuis structures,
we derive a new hierarchy of integrable lattice, whose continuum limit is the
AKNS hierarchy. In contrast with other differential-difference versions of the
AKNS system, our hierarchy is endowed with a canonical Poisson structure and,
moreover, it admits a vector generalisation. We also solve the associated
spectral problem and explicity contruct action-angle variables through the

Adaptive online deployment for resource constrained mobile smart clients
Nowadays mobile devices are more and more used as a platform for applications. Contrary to prior generation handheld devices configured with a predefined set of applications, today leading edge devices provide a platform for flexible and customized application deployment. However, these applications have to deal with the limitations (e.g. CPU speed, memory) of these mobile devices and thus cannot handle complex tasks. In order to cope with the handheld limitations and the ever changing device context (e.g. network connections, remaining battery time, etc.) we present a middleware solution that dynamically offloads parts of the software to the most appropriate server. Without a priori knowledge of the application, the optimal deployment is calculated, that lowers the cpu usage at the mobile client, whilst keeping the used bandwidth minimal. The information needed to calculate this optimum is gathered on the fly from runtime information. Experimental results show that the proposed solution enables effective execution of complex applications in a constrained environment. Moreover, we demonstrate that the overhead from the middleware components is below 2%

Basic methodical grounds of teaching international students chinese field-specific terms in technical institutes of higher education (in the context of polymer production)
We look at the problem connected with methods of teaching Chinese field-specific terms to international students in technical institutes of higher education. The basis of our research is represented by Chinese scientists’ articles in the sphere of manufacturing polymer. Our research is focused on the solution of problems connected with teaching Chinese field-specific terms to international students in technical institutes of higher education. The task required analysis of teaching and studying issues of field-specific disciplines in Tomsk Polytechnic University, study of terminological processes in Chinese, description of how field-specific terms are adopted from foreign languages into Chinese. Studying the above listed aspects provided a basis for developing a classification of polymer production terms. The way the Chinese language borrows a terminological item is considered when dividing terminological elements into groups for further systematization. We structured our classification of terms and terminological combinations by taking into account the fundamentals of high-molecular composition chemistry for easier understanding of polymer production terminology by teachers and students of technical institutions of higher education
PHYTOCHEMICAL FINGERPRINT AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF THREE MALAYSIAN FICUS DELTOIDEA CULTIVARS.
Background
Ficus deltoidea (Moraceae), is a Malay Traditional Medicine locally known as Mas Cotek. Three varieties (angustifolia, deltoidea and kunslerii) has been indictincty used.
Aims
We here aim to better understand their chemistry and bioactivities to inform future scientific and agronomic research.
Methods
We extracted and analyzed samples from these varieties by HPTLC and HPLC-UV. The in vitro screening looked up to the scavenging activities against both DPPH and NO radicals, inhibitory activity upon tyrosinase and cytotoxicity against human prostate cancer cells PC3, DU145 and LNCaP using the sulforhodamine B proliferation assay and the MTT mitochondrial viability assay.
Results
We achieved to analytically differentiate the three varieties in term of the presence of flavonoids, establishing that vitexin, orientin and isoorientin may act as intraspecific and interorgan phytomarkers Their biological activities point out to the antioxidant value of extracts from the deltoidea and kunslerii varieties whilst the inhibition of tyrosinase is only present in the roots extract of the var. deltoidea which here we show is also endowed with cytotoxic activity against prostate cancer cells.
Conclusion
We suggest that the three Malaysian Ficus deltoidea botanical varieties (angustifolia, deltoidea and kunslerii) can be also considered chemovars. The least bioactive chemovar was angustifolia. The most active extract was from the roots of var. deltoidea that shows antioxidant, antimelanogenic and cytotoxic potential.

Role of Bacterial Lipopolysaccharide in Enhancing Host Immune Response to Candida albicans
Human infections involving yeast of the genus Candida often occur in the presence of bacteria, and, as such, it is important to understand how these bacteria influence innate host immunity towards Candida. Dectin-1 is a cell receptor of macrophages for Candida albicans recognition. The aim of this study was to examine dectin-1 expression by monocytes after stimulation with bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), followed by heat-killed C. albicans (HKC). Freshly isolated human peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) and human monocytes cell line (THP-1) cells expressed low levels of dectin-1. Stimulation with LPS and GM-CSF/IL-4 was found to increase dectin-1 expression in both CD14(+) human PBMC and THP-1 cells. Enhanced dectin-1 expression resulted in increased phagocytosis of Candida. When THP-1 cells were challenged only with HKC, detectable levels of IL-23 were not evident. However, challenge by LPS followed by varying concentrations of HKC resulted in increased IL-23 expression by THP-1 cells in HKC dose-dependent manner. Increased expression of IL-17 by PBMC also occurred after stimulation with Candida and LPS. In conclusion, bacterial LPS induces an enhanced immune response to Candida by immune cells, and this occurs through increasing dectin-1 expression
Non Melanoma Skin Cancer and Subsequent Cancer Risk
Introduction:
Several studies have shown an increased risk of cancer after non melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) but the individual risk factors underlying this risk have not been elucidated, especially in relation to sun exposure and skin sensitivity to sunlight. Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the individual risk factors associated with the development of subsequent cancers after non melanoma skin cancer. Methods: Participants in the population-based New Hampshire Skin Cancer Study provided detailed risk factor data, and subsequent cancers were identified via linkage with the state cancer registry. Deaths were identified via state and national death records. A Cox proportional hazard model was used to estimate risk of subsequent malignancies in NMSC patients versus controls and to assess the potential confounding effects of multiple risk factors on this risk. Results: Among 3584 participants, risk of a subsequent cancer (other than NMSC) was higher after basal cell carcinoma (BCC) (adjusted HR 1.40 [95% CI 1.15, 1.71]) than squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) (adjusted HR 1.18 [95% CI 0.95, 1.46]) compared to controls (adjusted for age, sex and current cigarette smoking). After SCC, risk was higher among those diagnosed before age 60 (HR 1.96 [95% CI 1.24, 3.12]). An over 3-fold risk of melanoma after SCC (HR 3.62; 95% CI 1.85, 7.11) and BCC (HR 3.28; 95% CI 1.66, 6.51) was observed, even after further adjustment for sun exposure-related factors and family history of skin cancer. In men, prostate cancer incidence was higher after BCC compared to controls (HR 1.64; 95% CI 1.10, 2.46). Conclusions: Our population-based study indicates an increased cancer risk after NMSC that cannot be fully explained by known cancer risk factors

The purpose of this study is to identify and quantify risks that may occur any time in the application of information technology in a company, as well as to provide information on the risks associated with the security of information technology system of the company. The methods used are: data collection and analysis techniques. Data collection includes: literature and field studies, in which the field study is conducted by interview and observation. Analytical technique used in the measurement of risk is OCTAVE-S. The results found the risks associated with security management, contingency planning, vulnerability management, as well as design and security architecture. It iscocluded from this this study that there are still a lot of risks that can threaten companies such as lack of contingency and disaster recovery plan
Temperature-dependent striped antiferromagnetism of LaFeAsO in a Green's function approach
We use a Green's function method to study the temperature-dependent average
moment and magnetic phase-transition temperature of the striped
antiferromagnetism of LaFeAsO, and other similar compounds, as the parents of
FeAs-based superconductors. We consider the nearest and the next-nearest
couplings in the FeAs layer, and the nearest coupling for inter-layer spin
interaction. The dependence of the transition temperature TN and the
zero-temperature average spin on the interaction constants is investigated. We
obtain an analytical expression for TN and determine our temperature-dependent
average spin from zero temperature to TN in terms of unified self-consistent
equations. For LaFeAsO, we obtain a reasonable estimation of the coupling
interactions with the experimental transition temperature TN = 138 K. Our
results also show that a non-zero antiferromagnetic (AFM) inter-layer coupling
is essential for the existence of a non-zero TN, and the many-body AFM
fluctuations reduce substantially the low-temperature magnetic moment per Fe
towards the experimental value. Our Green's function approach can be used for
other FeAs-based parent compounds and these results should be useful to
understand the physical properties of FeAs-based superconductors.Comment: 12 page
