factores biopsicossociais.
Adolescents who stay, parents who migrate: gender inequalities, resilience and coping strategies in Tajikistan
Studies on the consequences of migration often ignore the
perspectives of children and adolescents who remain in the origin
country while their migrant parents are absent. This is the case in
Tajikistan, one of the poorest and most remittance-dependent
countries in the world. Using a qualitative methodology, microethnography, we interviewed eight teenagers aged between 12 and
18, in the city of Khorugh, Tajikistan, to explore the impact of
migration from their perspective. Findings reveal that these
adolescents ‘understand’ the reasons for their parents’ migration in a
way that both gives coherence to this migration and invests young
people with resilience and coping strategies. As a result, all the
young people naturalised having to live with sadness, reflecting the
‘normalisation’ of this social cost in wider Tajik society. However, the
experiences and coping strategies of those interviewed are
gendered; boys were more likely to ‘rationalise’ their experience and
be aloof; girls more likely to express emotional upset. In practical
terms, boys also received more benefits from remittances while girls
reported feeling overwhelmed by domestic chores expected of
them. Through this study, we contribute to the recent literature on
the lived experiences and agency of non-migrant teenagers.info:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersio

Public Awareness And Attitudes Toward Epilepsy In Different Social Segments In Brazil.
To assess public awareness and attitudes toward epilepsy in Brazilians of different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Several studies have examined public awareness and attitudes toward epilepsy in various countries but there are no equivalent data for Brazil or South America. We have applied the survey proposed by Caveness and Gallup, with some modifications and adaptations to four groups (I-IV) of subjects: I--105 individuals accompanying patients to the Ophthalmologic outpatient clinic of the Hospital das Clínicas of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP); II--93 students recently admitted to medical and nursing school; III--101 senior non-medical students; and IV--69 senior medical students. Group II, III, and IV were students at UNICAMP. Individuals with a low socioeconomic standing had a poor profile of familiarity, knowledge and attitudes toward epilepsy. The pre-university and university students had a relatively good profile when compared to the published international polls. Senior medical students had an excellent level of familiarity and knowledge, but showed no change in their objection to having a son or a daughter marry an epileptic person. Our data suggest that there is a clear-cut relationship between the level of education and the individual's familiarity and attitudes toward epilepsy. Effective elimination of the prejudice toward epilepsy requires specific training and not just general, superficial information about the condition.5632-
Pneumatosis Coli Treated with Metronidazole and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: A Successful Case
Sexual Dysfunction In Epilepsy: Identifying The Psychological Variables.
In order to evaluate the psychological variables that affect sexual dysfunction (SD) in epilepsy, where compared 60 epileptics (Group 1) with 60 healthy individuals (Group 2), through the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (Spielberger et al., 1970), Beck Depression Inventory (Beck, 1974) and Sexual Behavior Interview (Souza, 1995). Sexual dysfunction (SD), anxiety and depression were found more frequently in Group 1 than in Group 2 and were not related to sex. Variables such as the onset duration and frequency of seizures as well as the use to medication were not associated with SD. Temporal lobe epilepsy was related to SD (p = 0.035) but not to anxiety or depression. Anxiety and depression were related to SD in both groups. Perception in controlling the seizures was closely related to anxiety (p = 0) and depression (p = 0.009). We conclude that psychological factors play an important role in the alteration of sexual behavior in epileptics and that suitable attention must be given to the control of these variables.58214-2
An empirical study on influencers and their engagement factors: The YouTubers' perspective
The current marketing arena is witnessing that the use of influencers or third-party content-generators is an efficient practice. Adding the fact that one of the arising-stars platforms in the social media spectrum is YouTube, the current research aims to understand how YouTube influencers can contribute to the process of customer engagement. The present research methodology is based on a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews of 22 female Youtubers devoted to the lifestyle categories. The questionnaire was built upon existing literature, aiming to understand what are the engagement factors that influencers should rely on to promote engagement from followers with the focal advertised object (i.e., product, brand). But this time from the Youtubers perspective. From the development of this study, a set of customer engagement factors arise. Based on the results we can claim that having an informal relationship with brands, presenting different content from others in the industry, or having a well-connected relationship with followers are engagement factors that contribute to customer engagement.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
