    Recombination kinetics of a dense electron-hole plasma in strontium titanate

    We investigated the nanosecond-scale time decay of the blue-green light emitted by nominally pure SrTiO3_3 following the absorption of an intense picosecond laser pulse generating a high density of electron-hole pairs. Two independent components are identified in the fluorescence signal that show a different dynamics with varying excitation intensity, and which can be respectively modeled as a bimolecular and unimolecolar process. An interpretation of the observed recombination kinetics in terms of interacting electron and hole polarons is proposed

    Non‐linear analysis of suspension bridges with flexible and rigid cables

    One of the main problems related to the design of suspension bridges is stabilisation of their initial form. The tendency of suspension bridges to deform is generally determined by the kinematical displacements of the suspension cable caused by asymmetrical loads rather than by the elastic deformations. There are some suspension bridges when the so‐called rigid (stiff in bending) cables instead of usual flexible cables are suggested for stabilisation of their initial form. The analysis methods of such suspension bridges with rigid cables are underdeveloped. For the analysis of classical suspension bridges analytical models can be applied. However, in case of concentrated forces, the numerical techniques are preferred. The article presents analytical expressions for the calculation of internal forces and displacements of suspension bridges with a rigid cable. The article also discusses the discrete calculation model for classical suspension bridges. Santrauka Viena iš pagrindiniu kabamuju tiltu projektavimo problemu yra pradinus ju formos stabilizavimas. Kabamuju tiltu deformatyvuma lemia iš esmes ne tiek tampriosios deformacijos, kiek asimetriniu apkrovu sukelti kinematiniai kabamojo lyno poslinkiai. Yra žinomi kabamieji tiltai, kuriu pradinei formai stabilizuoti siūloma vietoje iprastiniu lanksčiuju lynu taikyti vadinamuosius standžius lynus. Tokiu kabamuju tiltu su standžiaislynais skaičiavimo metodai nera iki galo parengti. Klasikiniams tiltams su lanksčiu lynu skaičiuoti taikomi daugiausia kontinualūs modeliai, kurie esant tam tikrai tilto sandarai ar veikiant sutelktoms apkrovoms nera pakankamai tikslūs. Straipsnyje pateikiamos analizines išraiškos kabamuju tiltu su standžiu lynu iražoms ir poslinkiams apskaičiuoti, aptariamas diskretusis klasikiniu kabamuju tiltu skaičiavimo modelis.     Comparative evaluation of organoleptic properties of toothpaste containing NovaMin by young people who have had COVID-19

    The article presents an assessment of the organoleptic properties of the toothpaste with regenerating and desensetic effects of Sensodyne "Recovery and Protection" containing NovaMin (GlaxoSmithKline Helsker, UK) by young people who have suffered from COVID-19. The analysis of the questionnaire revealed changes in taste and smell sensations, which are the delayed effects of Sars-CoV-2 and recorded among student volunteers during the use of Sensodyne "Restore and Protect" toothpaste containing NovaMin. The paper explains the features of organoleptic perception of toothpaste in COVID-19 over-exposed students, during and after the disease. These studies and comparative evaluation can be applied in the future to study coronavirus infection on the body condition of young peopleВ статье представлена оценка органолептических свойств зубной пасты с восстанавливающим и десенсетивным эффектами – Sensodyne «Восстановление и Защита» с NovaMin, (ГлаксоСмитКляйн Хелскер, Великобритания) молодыми людьми, перенесшими COVID-19. В результате анализа анкетирования, были выявлены изменения вкусовых и обонятельных ощущений, которые являются отсроченными последствиями Sars-CoV-2 и зафиксированы среди студентов-добровольцев во время использования ЗП Sensodyne «Восстановление и Защита», содержащей NovaMin. В работе объясняются особенности органолептического восприятия ЗП у переболевших COVID-19 студентов, во время и после болезни.     By the example of examination of 80 children aged from 4 to 18 with cervical syndrome it is indicated, that the diagnosed abnormalities of hemodynamics in vertebrobasilar basin in patients of all age groups are connected both with bone and vascular pathology of the cervical part of the spine. The pathology has functional or congenital character. Early detection of discicirculatory vascular injuries in the cervical part of the spine in children with cervical syndrome will allow to define the therapeutic management of patients and to prolong juvenile osteochondrosis clinical behaviour
