A study of selected environmental quality remote sensors for free flyer missions launched from the space shuttle

The sensors were examined for adaptability to shuttle by reviewing pertinent information regarding sensor characteristics as they related to the shuttle and Multimission Modular Spacecraft environments. This included physical and electrical characteristics, data output and command requirements, attitude and orientation requirements, thermal and safety requirements, and adaptability and modification for space. The sensor requirements and characteristics were compared with the corresponding shuttle and Multimission Modular Spacecraft characteristics and capabilities. On this basis the adaptability and necessary modifications for each sensor were determined. A number of the sensors were examined in more detail and estimated cost for the modifications was provided

Paleozoology of cores from the Tyler Formation (Pennsylvanian) in North Dakota, U.S.A.

A well-preserved fauna from the Tyler Formation was studied in cores from 34 wells drilled for oil in Billings, Golden Valley, McKenzie, Slope, and Stark Counties. Forty-four species of invertebrates, eleven form-species of conodonts, at least three types of fish, and at least four genera of plants· are present. Invertebrate species include 1 bryozoan, 15 brachiopods, 14 bivalves, 2 gastropods, 2 cephalopods, 2 annelids, 2 branchiopoda, at least 2 ostracodes, 2 malacostracans, 1 insect, and 1 echinoderm. Chordates include 1 nonmarine shark, at least 1 paleoniscoid fish, and 1 possible crossopterygian fish. A new genus and species of eocarid malacostracan is described and represents the first report of the family Tealliocarididae from. North .America and the first Pennsylvanian genus recognized in the family. The Tyler Formation was determined to be of Pennsylvanian (Morrowan, Atokan, and Deamoinesian) age based on the previously reported ranges of contained taxa. Four faunal communities are recognized in the Tyler and names proposed for them are based on their dominal fos sil constituents. Progressing from the shoreline to deeper water and open marine conditions are the Anthraconaia-Cy~icus (Lioestheria) Community, the Lingula Community, the Aviculopecten Community, and the Eolissochonetes Community. Evidence of a fifth community (nearest to the shoreline) is suggested by sections of cores with terrestrial plant fragments in them. The dark gray to black shales and the limestones of the Tyler are generally fossiliferous. Preservation of delicate structures, growth series, and other evidence indicates that most of the Tyler invertebrates were little transported, and that the asse111blages of abundant organisms probably represent parts of biocoenoses. CHARACTERIZING MUSCUPIABIT (CA-SBR-425/H) AND ITS PLACE IN THE GREATER SERRANO SETTLEMENT SYSTEM

First excavated in 1938, the site of Muscupiabit (CA-SBR-425/H) has long been a subject of archaeological research in the San Bernardino Mountains. Previous excavations at the site have either been unpublished or limited in scope. A primary goal was to obtain a radiocarbon date for the site, giving a definitive age to the site. Other goals included determining the population size of Muscupiabit as well as the function of the site and its place in the Serrano settlement system. To obtain dateable material, an excavation was conducted in hopes of locating a thermal feature. An intact thermal feature was found and charcoal was recovered. In order to adequately address the proposed research questions, museum collections were used to gain a larger sample size. A large quantity of artifacts had been excavated in the 1980s but were never analyzed. Between those excavations and the 2017 excavations, 7 units were analyzed. Additionally, population records from the Spanish mission system were analyzed to address research questions about population size. Based on a radiocarbon date, shell bead types, and population records, it appears that Muscupiabit was occupied in the late 17th/early 18th century and was likely abandoned by 1815. Despite its location along a trade route, the site does not appear to have been controlling trade. Muscupiabit was intermarried with other villages but it’s level of political independence cannot be determined at this time

PENGARUH PERSEPSI WAJIB PAJAK TENTANG PP NO 23 TAHUN 2018, PEMAHAMAN, DAN SANKSI PERPAJAKAN TERHADAP KEPATUHAN WAJIB PAJAK UMKM (Studi Kasus Pada UMKM di Kota Surabaya)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh persepsi wajib pajak tentang PP No. 23 tahun 2018, pemahaman perpajakan dan sanksi perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) di Kota Surabaya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wajib pajak UMKM yang ada di Sentral UKM Merr Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kausal komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sampel jenuh karena semua anggota populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 98 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi wajib pajak tentang PP No. 23 tahun 2018 berpengaruh positif terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak UMKM karena wajib pajak yang berpersepsi positif terhadap penerapan PP No. 23 tahun 2018 pasti akan menerima keputusan tersebut, sehingga kepatuhan wajib pajak tersebut juga positif. Pemahaman perpajakan berpengaruh positif terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak UMKM karena wajib pajak yang patuh tentang pajaknya akan menjalankan kewajibannya karena tau seluruh aspek tentang pajak. Sanksi perpajakan berpengaruh positif terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak UMKM karena wajib pajak akan memenuhi kewajiban pajaknya apabila memandang bahwa sanksi perpajakan akan lebih banyak merugikan wajib paja
