LWRHU EB weld development
Electron beam weld development studies were performed for both the platinum frit vent-to-vent cap weld and also the vent cap-to-body weld for the LWRHU Project using a Hamilton Standard EBW-6 Electron Beam Welder. A total of six (6) development welds each was performed to establish welding parameters and procedures which would produce satisfactory and acceptable welds. The relatively small size of the platinum frit vent dictated that the frit-to-vent cap weld would have to be limited as to depth of penetration and also to minimize the reduction of the porous frit areas
Is nonperturbative inflatino production during preheating a real threat to cosmology?
We discuss toy models where supersymmetry is broken due to non-vanishing
time-varying vacuum expectation value of the inflaton field during preheating.
We discuss the production of inflatino the superpartner of inflaton due to
vacuum fluctuations and then we argue that they do not survive until
nucleosynthesis and decay along with the inflaton to produce a thermal bath
after preheating. Thus the only relevant remnant is the helicity \pm 3/2

Generating asymptotically plane wave spacetimes
In an attempt to study asymptotically plane wave spacetimes which admit an
event horizon, we find solutions to vacuum Einstein's equations in arbitrary
dimension which have a globally null Killing field and rotational symmetry. We
show that while such solutions can be deformed to include ones which are
asymptotically plane wave, they do not posses a regular event horizon. If we
allow for additional matter, such as in supergravity theories, we show that it
is possible to have extremal solutions with globally null Killing field, a
regular horizon, and which, in addition, are asymptotically plane wave. In
particular, we deform the extremal M2-brane solution in 11-dimensional
supergravity so that it behaves asymptotically as a 10-dimensional vacuum plane

Tadpole Analysis of Orientifolded Plane-Waves
We study orientifolds of type IIB string theory in the plane-wave background
supported by null RR 3-form flux F^{(3)}. We describe how to extract the RR
tadpoles in the Green-Schwarz formalism in a general setting. Two models with
orientifold groups {1, \Omega} and {1,\Omega I_4}, which are T-dual to each
other, are considered. Consistency of these backgrounds requires 32 D9 branes
for the first model and 32 D5 branes for the second one. We study the spectra

A Pragmatic Assessment of Government Support for Organic Agriculture in Ireland
Drawing on a pragmatic approach, this paper provides an analysis of governmental support for organic farming in Ireland. There are varying levels of encouragement and programmes provided to farmers in their conversion from conventional to organic production, and in their maintenance of organic production. Support policies vary across regions and are linked to European Union legislation, thus it is challenging to document the many types of support in place. This research investigates relevant technical, financial, and policy support available to organic farmers in Ireland. This exploratory study develops an assessment of Ireland within eight key categories of organic agricultural support: leadership, policy, research, technical support, financial support, marketing and promotion, education and information, and future developments. Information and data from the Irish Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (DAFF), the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Teagasc), and other governmental and semi-governmental agencies were utilized to assess the level of support in each category. Following the pragmatic approach, this assessment provides key findings which allow policymakers, organizations and citizens to better understand the current situation and set a path for the future development of organic farming in Ireland

The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations. Energy spectra and the
corresponding eigenfunctions are computed. Results are also given for the case

Inflation and Preheating in NO models
We study inflationary models in which the effective potential of the inflaton
field does not have a minimum, but rather gradually decreases at large .
In such models the inflaton field does not oscillate after inflation, and its
effective mass becomes vanishingly small, so the standard theory of reheating
based on the decay of the oscillating inflaton field does not apply. For a long
time the only mechanism of reheating in such non-oscillatory (NO) models was
based on gravitational particle production in an expanding universe. This
mechanism is very inefficient. We will show that it may lead to cosmological
problems associated with large isocurvature fluctuations and overproduction of
dangerous relics such as gravitinos and moduli fields. We also note that the
setting of initial conditions for the stage of reheating in these models should
be reconsidered. All of these problems can be resolved in the context of the
recently proposed scenario of instant preheating if there exists an interaction
of the inflaton field with another scalar field
. We show that the mechanism of instant preheating in NO models is much
more efficient than the usual mechanism of gravitational particle production
even if the coupling constant is extremely small, .Comment: 10 pages, revte

We construct geometric representatives for the C^2/Z_n fractional branes in
terms of branes wrapping certain exceptional cycles of the resolution. In the
process we use large radius and conifold-type monodromies, and also check some
of the orbifold quantum symmetries. We find the explicit Seiberg-duality which
connects our fractional branes to the ones given by the McKay correspondence.

Study protocol for a randomised clinical trial of a decision aid and values clarification method for parents of a fetus or neonate diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital heart defect
Introduction: Parents who receive the diagnosis of a life-threatening, complex heart defect in their fetus or neonate face a difficult choice between pursuing termination (for fetal diagnoses), palliative care or complex surgical interventions. Shared decision making (SDM) is recommended in clinical contexts where there is clinical equipoise. SDM can be facilitated by decision aids. The International Patient Decision Aids Standards collaboration recommends the inclusion of values clarification methods (VCMs), yet little evidence exists concerning the incremental impact of VCMs on patient or surrogate decision making. This protocol describes a randomised clinical trial to evaluate the effect of a decision aid (with and without a VCM) on parental mental health and decision making within a clinical encounter.
Methods and analysis: Parents who have a fetus or neonate diagnosed with one of six complex congenital heart defects at a single tertiary centre will be recruited. Data collection for the prospective observational control group was conducted September 2018 to December 2020 (N=35) and data collection for two intervention groups is ongoing (began October 2020). At least 100 participants will be randomised 1:1 to two intervention groups (decision aid only vs decision aid with VCM). For the intervention groups, data will be collected at four time points: (1) at diagnosis, (2) postreceipt of decision aid, (3) postdecision and (4) 3 months postdecision. Data collection for the control group was the same, except they did not receive a survey at time 2. Linear mixed effects models will assess differences between study arms in distress (primary outcome), grief and decision quality (secondary outcomes) at 3-month post-treatment decision.
Ethics and dissemination: This study was approved by the University of Utah Institutional Review Board. Study findings have and will continue to be presented at national conferences and within scientific research journals.
