How nostalgia affects brand equity? Consumersâ attitudes towards nostalgic generational and transgenerational brands
Purpose: The article aims to expand the nostalgic brand management area by empirically examining the impact of nostalgia on all components of brand equity and, consequently, on the consumersâ attitudes and purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach: The research was conducted in the form of direct and indirect communication with 1000 Polish respondents using the personal and online survey techniques. Two main stages of research were carried out in the fourth quarter of 2018. Findings: The results confirm that consumers are nostalgic towards both generational and transgenerational brands, what positively affects the perceived quality of brands, associations connected with them, as well as consumersâ loyalty. The rating of nostalgic brands equity is higher than in case of brands perceived as non-nostalgic, with the exception of brands from the automotive industry. The nostalgic brands equity depends on age of the respondents but is not dependent on the consumersâ gender. It was also confirmed that brand equity is rated higher in case of nostalgic transgenerational brands than the generational ones. Practical Implications: The results can serve as a guide for managers in implementing the nostalgic brand strategy. Is it premature to formulate recommendations for policy and practice, based on culture and health research? A robust critique of the CultureForHealth (2022) report
Introduction: Arts and health practice and research has expanded rapidly since the turn of the millennium. A World Health Organization scoping review of a large body of evidence claims positive health benefits from arts participation and makes recommendations for policy and implementation of arts for health initiatives. A more recent scoping review (CultureForHealth) also claims that current evidence is sufficient to form recommendations for policy and practice. However, scoping reviews of arts and health researchâwithout critical appraisal of included studiesâdo not provide a sound basis for recommendations on the wider implantation of healthcare interventions. Methods: We performed a detailed assessment of 18 Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) on arts-based interventions included in Section 1 of the CultureForHealth report using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool for RCTs (2023). Results: The 18 RCTs included demonstrated considerable risks of bias regarding internal and statistical conclusion validity. Moreover, the trials are substantially heterogeneous with respect to settings, health-issues, interventions, and outcomes, which limits their external validity, reliability, and generalisability. Conclusions: The absence of a critical appraisal of studies included in the CultureForHealth report leads to an overinterpretation and overstatement of the health outcomes of arts-based interventions. As such, the CultureForHealth review is not a suitable foundation for policy recommendations, nor for formulating guidance on implementation of arts-based interventions for health
The need for robust critique of arts and health research: Danceâmovement therapy, girls, and depression
We examine a highly cited randomized controlled trial on dance-movement therapy with adolescent girls with mild depression and examine its treatment in 14 evidence reviews and meta-analyses of dance research. We demonstrate substantial limitations in the trial which seriously undermine the conclusions reached regarding the effectiveness of dance movement therapy in reducing depression. We also show that the dance research reviews vary substantially in their treatment of the study. Some reviews provide a positive assessment of the study and take its findings at face value without critical commentary. Others are critical of the study, identifying significant limitations, but showing marked differences in Cochrane Risk of Bias assessments. Drawing on recent criticisms of systematic reviewing and meta-analysis, we consider how reviews can be so variable and discuss what is needed to improve the quality of primary studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses in the field of creative arts and health
Consumersâ choice behaviour toward green clothing
Purpose: The article aims to identify the factors influencing consumersâ choice of green clothing products in the context of the theory of consumption values. Design/methodology/approach: The research was conducted on 496 Polish consumers in December 2020 from who 212 had experience in purchasing green clothing products. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed and structural equation modelling was used for analysis. Findings: The results show that emotional, conditional, and environmental values had significantly positive impact on consumersâ choice behaviour toward green clothing products; however functional, social and epistemic values had no influence on it. Practical Implications: The results are important for retailers and producers of green clothing products for building a marketing communication campaign for Polish market as well as labelling and creating eco-brands for those products. Study of Deformation Effects in the Charged Particle Emission from 46Ti
The 46Ti compound nucleus, as populated by the fusion-evaporation reaction
27Al + 19F at the bombarding energy of 144 MeV, has been investigated by
charged particle spectroscopy using the multidetector array ICARE at the
VIVITRON tandem facility of the IReS (Strasbourg). The light charged particles
have been measured in coincidence with evaporation residues. The CACARIZO code,
a Monte Carlo implementation of the statistical-model code CASCADE, has been
used to calculate the spectral shapes of evaporated alpha-particles which are
compared with the experimental spectra. This comparison indicates the possible

We describe work in progress to conduct a systematic review of research on effects of arts-based programs for mental health in young people. We are at the stage of searching for relevant studies through major databases and screening extant systematic reviews for additional research which meet our inclusion criteria. At this stage, however, concerns have arisen regarding both the quality of existing primary studies and of recently published systematic reviews in this area of arts and health. As a case in point, in this paper we focus on one research report on art therapy with adolescent girls and its inclusion in three systematic reviews. We demonstrate that the reviews fail to undertake a robust critique of the Bazargan and Pakdaman paper and that the paper and reviews are flawed. Drawing on recent criticisms of systematic reviewing, we consider the value of proceeding with our systematic review as initially planned. GDR Feeding of the Highly-Deformed Band in 42Ca
The gamma-ray spectra from the decay of the GDR in the compound nucleus
reaction 18O+28Si at bombarding energy of 105 MeV have been measured in an
experiment using the EUROBALL IV and HECTOR arrays. The obtained experimental
GDR strength function is highly fragmented, with a low energy (10 MeV)
component, indicating a presence of a large deformation and Coriolis effects.
In addition, the preferential feeding of the highly-deformed band in 42Ca by

Strong Deformation Effects in Hot Rotating 46Ti
Exotic-deformation effects in 46Ti nucleus were investigated by analysing the
high-energy gamma-ray and the alpha-particle energy spectra. One of the
experiments was performed using the charged-particle multi-detector array ICARE
together with a large volume (4"x4") BGO detector. The study focused on
simultaneous measurement of light charged particles and gamma-rays in
coincidence with the evaporation residues. The experimental data show a
signature of very large deformations of the compound nucleus in the Jacobi
transition region at the highest spins. These results are compared to data from
previous experiments performed with the HECTOR array coupled to the EUROBALL
array, where it was found that the GDR strength function is highly fragmented,

Oscillations above the barrier in the fusion of 28Si + 28Si
Fusion cross sections of 28Si + 28Si have been measured in a range above the
barrier with a very small energy step (DeltaElab = 0.5 MeV). Regular
oscillations have been observed, best evidenced in the first derivative of the
energy-weighted excitation function. For the first time, quite different
behaviors (the appearance of oscillations and the trend of sub-barrier cross
sections) have been reproduced within the same theoretical frame, i.e., the
coupled-channel model using the shallow M3Y+repulsion potential. The
calculations suggest that channel couplings play an important role in the
appearance of the oscillations, and that the simple relation between a peak in
the derivative of the energy-weighted cross section and the height of a
centrifugal barrier is lost, and so is the interpretation of the second
derivative of the excitation function as a barrier distribution for this
system, at energies above the Coulomb barrier.Comment: submitted to Physics Letters
