    A Comprehensive Model for Resistance Economy Based on the Operations and Information Management in Iran

    Abstract-There is no particular model for economic management in Iran. In the current circumstances where Iranian economy is under international embargos, resistance economy can guarantee national independence by acting as a model for domestic economy. Development of intellectual capital is the main criterion of national development and can also introduce synergy in resistance economy. The present paper aims to propose a comprehensive model for resistance economy based on the role of intellectual capital in Iran and the operations and information management via a mixed research method. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of information values in the value chain on gaining competitive advantage by considering the effect of the strategic alignment of the IT program and the organization's strategies. First, the Supreme Leaders views on resistance economy, library references, and semi-structured interviews with 15 faculty membersselected using purposive samplingwere analyzed using the grounded theory. The concepts derived from case studies were categorized as 475 and 61 primary and final concepts, respectively, and then modeled and classified as 30 influential parameters in four aspects of capital (human, psychological, social, and spiritual capital). In addition, the tests were verified and the model was validated via quantitative data analysis

    INVESTIGATING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INCOME VARIATION AND EFFICIENCY OF BANKS ACCEPTED IN THE STOCK EXCHANGE

    Abstract. The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between income variation and efficiency of banks accepted in the stock exchange. This research is descriptive-correlative method and is of applied research type. The statistical population of the study is all banks accepted in the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2012 to 2016, in which 15 banks have been active throughout the entire period of the research in the stock market. The research data were extracted from financial statements of banks and analyzed using regression models using combination data. The research findings showed that there was a relationship between the size of the bank and the efficiency of the banks accepted in the stock exchange, as well as between the equity and the efficiency of the banks accepted to the stock exchange.Keywords: Income Variation, Bank Efficiency, Bank Size, Equity

    Comparison of the Incidence of Postoperative Hyponatremia after Infusion of Hypotonic Versus Isotonic Intravenous Solutions in Children

    Introduction: Hyponatremia is the most common electrolyte disorder in patients following surgical interventions (19-50%). Hospital acquired hyponatremia is often due to using hypotonic solution s and can be lethal.Materials and Methods:Between January and December 2014, 190 children (1 month to 12 years) who were admitted in the urology department of Children’s Hospital Medical Center for elective surgical procedures were enrolled in the study. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: group I received 50 mEq/L sodium and 20 mEq/L potassium in D/W 5% and group II received 154 mEq/l sodium and 20 mEq/L potassium in D/W 5% at the maintenance dose for a period of 6 hours following the operation. The patients did not have any oral fluid intake 6 hours postoperatively. The incidence of hyponatremia before and after maintenance IV fluid therapy was analyzed. Other characteristics of the patients such as age, gender, duration of hospitalization, other concomitant electrolyte disturbances, and symptoms of hypervolemia were also evaluated. The incidence of fluid-IV therapy-induced hyponatremia was investigated and analyzed in different categories of patients.  Results: One hundred and ninety patients were enrolled. The mean age was 3.75 years (ranging from 1 month to 12years).  One hundred and thirty-three patients (70%) were boys. The incidence of hyponatremia before and after maintenance IV fluid therapy was 9.5% and 36%, respectively. After the therapy, the incidence of hyponatremia was 54% and 17% in hypotonic and isotonic groups, respectively. Final multivariate logistic analysis showed that hyponatremia was common in patients that received hypotonic solution after surgery.Conclusions: Hyponatremia was markedly induced in patients receiving hypotonic solution after surgery. It seems isotonic fluid therapy after surgery protects the patients from hyponatremia.Keywords: Hyponatremia; Isotonic solutions; Hypotonic solutions; Child

    Experimental Study on the Surface Modification by Electrical Discharge Process

    The creation of modified layer on metal surfaces using new methods is one of the procedures in surface engineering which can improve the surface mechanical properties. The electrical discharge process is a new method that can form a modified layer on the metal surfaces. This study aims to improve of pure aluminum surface properties through Electrical Discharge process with Monel 400 electrode. In order to design the experiments, the pulse on time and the pulse current were considered as input parameters. The SEM images indicated that the increase in the pulse on time and the pulse current can increase the thickness of the modified layer. Based on the obtained results, the thickness of improved layer varied between 35 to 75 microns. The results of the EDX analysis showed the diffusion of the copper and nickel to the aluminum surface. Moreover, the results of microhardness testing of the surface layer showed that after Electrical discharge process, the surface hardness has increased and the surface hardness as 35 Vickers has reached more than 400 Vickers

    Topical Application of the Hydroalcoholic Extract of Allium porrum L. as a Novel Treatment for Common Warts based on Persian Medicine

    Background: Common warts are the infectious viral diseases that occur in the epidermal layer of skin and are transmitted through skin contact. They are caused by a diverse range of human papillomaviruses (HPV). So, there is no vaccine or definite anti-viral medication for the prevention of this disease. Also, the treatments of common warts often have some limitations and numerous side effects as well as the risk of recurrence or superficial spreading. Persian medicine is one of the oldest traditional medicines which described common warts as a kind of skin disease and recommended several herbal medicines like Allium porrum L. for the treatment of this disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of the aerial parts of Allium porrum L. on common warts. Methods: In this study, five patients with common warts on their hands were included. The hydroalcoholic extract of Allium porrum L. were applied on the site of the lesion just for 2 hours every day over a three-week period. The patients were followed up for 18 weeks to check any case of recurrence. Results: After completing the treatment, the wart lesions in all five patients were completely healed within three weeks. During the follow-up phase (18 weeks), no case of recurrence was observed. Conclusion: This study shows that the topical application of hydroalcoholic extract of Allium porrum L. has therapeutic effects for common warts. Since the extract is cost-effective, without complications and highly accepted by the patients, it seems that it can be further investigated in future studies

    Enhanced spontaneous emission of CsPbI3 perovskite nanocrystals using a hyperbolic metamaterial modified by dielectric nanoantenna

    In this work, we demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, a hybrid dielectric-plasmonic multifunctional structure able to provide full control of the emission properties of CsPbI3 perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs). The device consists of a hyperbolic metamaterial (HMM) composed of alternating thin metal (Ag) and dielectric (LiF) layers, covered by TiO2 spherical MIE nanoresonators (i.e., the nanoantenna). An optimum HMM leads to a certain Purcell effect, i.e., an increase in the exciton radiative rate, but the emission intensity is reduced due to the presence of metal in the HMM. The incorporation of TiO2 nanoresonators deposited on the top of the HMM is able to counteract such an undesirable intensity reduction by the coupling between the exciton and the MIE modes of the dielectric nanoantenna. More importantly, MIE nanoresonators result in a preferential light emission towards the normal direction to the HMM plane, increasing the collected signal by more than one order of magnitude together with a further increase in the Purcell factor. These results will be useful in quantum information applications involving single emitters based on PNCs together with a high exciton emission rate and intensity

    Superradiance Emission and Its Thermal Decoherence in Lead Halide Perovskites Superlattices

    Self-assembled nanocrystals (NCs) into superlattices (SLs) are alternative materials to polycrystalline films and single crystals, which can behave very differently from their constituents, especially when they interact coherently with each other. This work concentrates on the Superradiance (SR) emission observed in SLs formed by CsPbBr3 and CsPbBrI2 NCs. Micro-Photoluminescence spectra and transients in the temperature range 4–100 K are measured in SLs to extract information about the SR states and uncoupled domains of NCs. For CsPbBr3 SLs with mostly homogeneous SR lines (linewidth 1–5 meV), this work measures lifetimes as short as 160 ps, 10 times lower than the value measured in a thin film made with the same NCs, which is due to domains of near identical NCs formed by 1000 to 40 000 NCs coupled by dipole–dipole interaction. The thermal decoherence of the SR exciton state is evident above 25 K due to its coupling with an effective phonon energy of ≈8 meV. These findings are an important step toward understanding the SR emission enhancement factor and the thermal dephasing process in perovskite SLs.Financial support from the Spanish Ministry of Science (MICINN) through project no.     Homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening in single perovskite nanocrystals investigated by micro-photoluminescence

    Metal halides with perovskite crystalline structure have given rise to efficient optoelectronic and photonic devices. In the present work, we have studied the light emission properties of single CsPbBr3 and CsPbI3 semiconductor perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs), as the basis for a statistical analysis of micro-photoluminescence (micro-PL) spectra measured on tens of them. At room temperature, the linewidth extracted from PL spectra acquired in dense films of these nanocrystals is not very different from that of micro-PL measured in single nanocrystals. This means that the homogeneous linewidth due to exciton-phonon interaction is comparable or larger than the inhomogeneous effect associated to the micro-PL peak energy dispersion due to the nanocrystal size distribution defined by the chemical synthesis of the PNCs. Contrarily, we observe very narrow micro-PL lines in CsPbBr3 and CsPbI3 PNCs at 4 K, in the range of 1–5 meV and 0.1–0.5 meV, respectively, because they are limited by spectral diffusion. Aging of PNCs under ambient conditions has been also studied by micro-PL and a clear reduction of their nanocube edge size in the order of the nm/day is deduced
