τ\tau-Flavour Violation at the LHC

We study the conditions required for $\chi_2 \to \chi + \tau^\pm \mu^\mp$ decays to yield observable tau flavour violation at the LHC, for cosmologically interesting values of the neutralino relic density. Assessing knowledge and engagement on sustainable development goals: exploratory research in the agri-food departments of Ibero-American universities

Aim of study: To offer an overview of current knowledge and civic engagement in the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) applied to agriculture sector. Area of study: Members of university communities from agri-food field departments at universities from three Ibero-American countries (Spain, Colombia and Brazil). Material and methods: 631 on line surveys from different Ibero-American faculties of the area. Descriptive, quantitative and qualitative analysis was performed. The level of knowledge and engagement of SDGs related to agriculture sector as Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) were investigated. Main results: The level of knowledge about the SDG Agenda, the priority rating for the implementation of each goal and the level of engagement varied significantly between countries. While Spain obtained the highest values in most of the variables relating to knowledge of the SDGs, followed by Brazil, Colombia showed the highest levels of engagement and willingness to apply specific actions in the agri-food sector to promote the implementation of the SDGs. Research highlights: The knowledge and engagement must be improved if we are to achieve the SDGs, and education and research play a vital role in bridging the SDG implementation gap in agri-food field. In the area the best-known SDG strategies are those related to sustainable farming systems and the least-known are the concept of ''degrowth'' as a possible efficient strategy, ''permaculture'' and ''local production and consumption''. A Method for Organized Crime Harm Assessment: Connecting Associated Crimes

The increasing call for harm-focused approaches warrants a method for assessing the harm of organized crime. A harm assessment of organized crime can be of use to law enforcement agencies for prioritizing efforts and designing policies that aim to counter organized crimes based on the harm they cause. It can also be used by other institutions that can intervene and support law enforcement indirectly in preventing and counteracting organized crime. However, assessing the harm of organized crime entails dealing with the complex structure of intertwined criminal activities and addressing the fact that organized crime groups commit other crimes to support their main criminal activity. This research introduces a novel method for Organized Crime Harm Assessment (OCHA method) and demonstrates it with the application to the case of heroin trade into and within England and Wales. The challenges of applying the OCHA method are identified and discussed, as well as its limitations, contributions, and opportunities for future research

El sentido humano en la cultura organizacional

Sociotipo y políticas asistenciales: Un nuevo instrumento de evaluación de las intervenciones biomédicas y de sociabilización

La presente Tesis pretende aproximarse a las políticas públicas desde un nuevo ángulo: el de la sociabilidad. Está basada en un concepto novedoso, el “sociotipo”, que ha sido acuñado en la investigación del grupo de Bioinformación del Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud (IACS) al que esta autora pertenece. Como vamos a argumentar a lo largo de esta Tesis, un análisis en profundidad y una reorientación de las políticas asistenciales resultan apremiantes en la época actual. Desde el estudio teórico y empírico del sociotipo pretendemos contribuir a este debate de interés público. En concreto, se van a abordar las prácticas asistenciales de dos ámbitos: el propiamente socio-asistencial y el de la sanidad. Como veremos, el sociotipo proporciona una nueva perspectiva desde la que se hacen más evidentes determinadas carencias del conjunto de nuestro sistema asistencial.<br /

The L∞L_{\infty} structure of gauge theories with matter

In this work we present an algebraic approach to the dynamics and perturbation theory at tree-level for gauge theories coupled to matter. The field theories we will consider are: Chern-Simons-Matter, Quantum Chromodynamics, and scalar Quantum Chromodynamics. Starting with the construction of the master action in the classical Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism, we will extract the $L_{\infty}$-algebra that allow us to recursively calculate the perturbiner expansion from its minimal model. The Maurer-Cartan action obtained in this procedure will then motivate a generating function for all the tree-level scattering amplitudes. There are two interesting outcomes of this construction: a generator for fully-flavoured amplitudes via a localisation on Dyck words; and closed expressions for fermion and scalar lines attached to $n$-gluons with arbitrary polarisations.Comment: 59 pages, final versio

One-loop off-shell amplitudes from classical equations of motion

In this letter we present a recursive method for computing one-loop off-shell amplitudes in colored quantum field theories. First, we generalize the perturbiner method by recasting the multiparticle currents as generators of off-shell tree level amplitudes. After, by taking advantage of the underlying color structure, we define a consistent sewing procedure to iteratively compute the one-loop integrands. When gauge symmetries are involved, the whole procedure is extended to multiparticle solutions involving ghosts, which can then be accounted for in the full loop computation. Since the required input here is equations of motion and gauge symmetry, our framework naturally extends to one-loop computations in certain non-Lagrangian field theories.Comment: 7 pages. v2: clarifications and references added.
