The study of the Natural Right or Natural Law, as non-writing or supra-real Law,it continues being relatively unknown in the juridical environment. This work tries to revisethe pertinent literature to the natural right in their main theories. The classic jusnaturalismor Aristotelian-tomist point of view, it is a prevalent theory of the social natural rights; whilethe rationalistic jusnaturalism - of Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau - it is predominantly a theoryof the individual natural rights. On the other hand, this work search to clarify the locus of theMarxist juridical thought inside the study of natural right. This works leans to conclude thatMarx does not abandon the natural right completely, especially in his rational version. Hecreates that was called Legal Naturalism. Marx’s position involves fundamentally a moralargument, where the deprived property, for instance, it is iniquitous for denying the individualfreedom and the opportunity for equalitarian and integral development. In this work itis develop a argument in favor of an eternal return of the natural right, as wants Ernst Bloch, especially the thought and the practice linked to the human rights.O estudo do direito natural, de essência não-escrita ou supra-real, continua sendorelativamente desconhecido no âmbito jurídico.

During the period of modernity life was dominated and full of theories (and social practices) with the aim to have universal value. Were repressed and denied the differences between societies (and between the same individuals). Following this, postmodernism (which starts in the 50s and reaches today) has been presented as an antidote to this cultural imperialism to defend the social, ideological and cultural fragmentation. In Paraguay postmodernism is profoundly delayed as a result not only of the War of the Triple Alliance of 1870 and the Chaco War against Bolivia1932 but due to the military dictatorship of General Alfredo Stroessner. However there were economic, cultural, social and technological advances that created a new mindset and a new behavior. In this context emerge that postmodernism performers, musical and behavior in figures asK-chiporros, Larissa Riquelme, Nadia La K-chorra and Marilina Bogado, among others. This paper aims to throw some light on this period of cultural history of Paraguay.Durante el periodo de la modernidad la vida estaba dominada y repleta de teorías (y prácticas sociales) con la pretensión de tener valor universal. Exploring aldehyde release in beer by 4-vinylpyridine and the effect of cysteine addition on the beer's pool of bound aldehydes

    No full text
As a continuation of our previous work, which concerned the binding of aldehydes to bisulfite and cysteine, this article presents more results on the applicability of 4-vinylpyridine addition to beer prior to analysis aiming at release of aldehydes from these preformed bound states, thus making them quantifiable with the headspace solid-phase microextraction method combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This article also presents the first results on spiking beer samples with cysteine prior to forced-aging, pointing to the important role of cysteine in beer flavor stability. Both the levels in free and bound aldehydes show a relatively large degree of variation among different beers, but also between marker aldehydes. For some aldehydes (e.g., hexanal), the bound amount was shown to increase rather strongly upon forced beer aging, whereas for others (e.g., 2-methylpropanal), large amounts appeared to already be present in a bound state in the fresh samples. Spiking beer samples with cysteine prior to aging significantly lowered the aldehyde levels compared with nonspiked samples. Flavor stability of the cysteine-spiked beers was thereby greatly improved through aldehyde-cysteine adduct formation. It was further hypothesized that, in addition to efficient binding of aldehydes, cysteine also inhibits the formation of furfural during beer aging from Maillard reaction intermediates

Amlodipine-induced gingival overgrowth – Review and Case Report / Crescimento gengival induzido por Amlodipina - Revisão e Relato de Caso

    Get PDF
Gingival overgrowth or enlargement is among one of the most important clinical features of gingival pathology frequently seen in periodontal clinic. Gingival overgrowth is a serious side e?ect that accompanies the use of amlodipine. Amlodipine is a comparatively new calcium channel blocker and is being used with increasing frequency in the management of hypertension and angina pectoris. Pertinent management depends on precisely diagnosing the origin of overgrowth. Cessation or change of drug and meticulous plaque control often leads to regression of the lesion, which however might need surgical correction for optimal maintenance of gingival health. The purpose of this article is to present a case report and highlight significant aspects of Amlodipine-Induced Gingival Overgrowth (AIGO)

Cell walls of microalgae are variable and contain non-specific domains where different molecules can bind. The enrichment of microalgal biomass with nutrients through adsorption can be an interesting process for the food and feed industry. In this study, naturally occurring polyphenols ((+)-catechin, ()-epicatechin, quercetin, rutin and xanthohumol) were adsorbed onto nonliving cells of freshwater microalgae Chlorella vulgaris. The essential adsorption parameters such as biomass dose and contact time were examined and the adsorption was quantified with Langmuir, Sips and DubininRadushkevich adsorption isotherms. The evaluation of isotherms proved the highest affinity towards Chlorella vulgaris biomass for xanthohumol and quercetin. The biosorption mechanism of Chlorella vulgaris biomass was well described by a pseudo second order kinetic model, with a high regression coefficient. The polyphenol-enriched microalgal biomass was also evaluated for its antioxidant activity. The highest antioxidant activity was detected in the case of biomass enriched with quercetin (77.5% of decolorized DPPH).The financial support by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic through grant MSM6046137305 is gratefully acknowledged. Sequential multi-stage extraction of biocompounds from Spirulina platensis: Combined effect of ohmic heating and enzymatic treatment

    Get PDF
A sequential multi-stage procedure was applied on the extraction of biocompounds from Spirulina platensis. The process consisted in three steps: 1) aqueous extraction, using conventional thermal extraction (CE), ohmic heating (OH, 7V/cm), enzymatic treatment (EAE, 0.8 mgLysozyme/mL), or both OH and EAE combined; 2) ethanolic extraction; 3) CHCl3/MeOH extraction. The results evidenced that the combined OH-EAE extraction allowed selective recovery of phycobiliproteins in the 1st step, with increments of more than 100% in yield in comparison with CE. Pigments and lipids were selectively extracted in the 2nd step. The combination of OH and EAE in the 1st step resulted in higher amounts of extracted compounds in the following phases compared to processes using non-combined technologies. Results demonstrate that the intensification of extraction steps facilitates the use of environmentally friendly technologies in a multi-stage process capable of recovering and isolating different fractions with bio-functional properties, targeting waste reduction and circular economy. Industrial relevance Spirulina plantensis represents a potential biomass feedstock due to its potential as a source of compounds of great economic value (including antioxidants, proteins, lipids and natural pigments, in particular blue colorants). The combined use of ohmic heating and enzymes in the aqueous extraction step fosters the use of environmentally friendly technologies to implement sequential high yield and high purity extraction of the different valuable fractions with bio-functional properties, targeting waste reduction and contributing to the implementation of circular economy strategies. This can be integrated with a design of Industry 4.0 driving the development of new products. This research was funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the scope of the strategic funding of UIDB/04469/2020 unit, by program Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant (MSCA-RISE; FODIAC; 778388) and by project OH2O - POCI-01-0145-FEDER-029145 (funded by FCT, COMPETE2020 – Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program and European Fund for Regional Development - FEDER).
